This is another reason that older appliances are better than this new energy star bullshit. These new appliances are underpowered and designed to break faster than ones made in the 90s. The energy star label means nothing. It's just there to brainwash you.
my 1 1/2 yr old samsung double door has boken down 3 times in 2 months... samsung couldnt give a rats about it.... consumer affairs recommended we complain to where we purchased it and now we are gettn a new fridge!!
samsung treated us like animals and had no concern whatsoever... obviously because they know their fridges are SH!T..
For anyone who's interested, Samsung had a legal case against them on dumping (selling below cost and below country of origin). If you're losing money on every unit sold then there is no suprise if quality is comprimised.
