I prefer this rendition of "I Will Always Love You" over the more publicized Tetsuko's Room version. The Tetsuko version had that echo effect which detracted from the purity of Charice's voice.

I do not take any credit away from Charice. If it was to honor Whitney she would be top running. But given it was a posthumous tribute Jen captured the emotions felt by those who loved her. I dont think it would be fitting to out sing the person you are paying respects to.

I am glad that there is still someone there who can truly bring the spirit of Whitney come alive. For me other singers sound 'blah' to me when they sing this song. Whitney will always be remembered for having the greatest voice of all but Charice can still grow and develop, who knows she might be a legend soon. I think she sings this song even better than Whitney. This isn't Charice's best version though. The version where she sang in some Italian show was better. You can really feel the emotion exploding in that version.

Japan orchestra is really very professional. They are able to perform so well when listening to charice's singing. If I were them, I don't think I'm able to concentrate and perform with all the goosebumps.

charice does sing well, but i don't think she is ready for the grammys yet... she still needs to work out refining her high notes, sometimes it just seems she is shouting to reach the high notes. jennifer hudson's tribute is full of emotions and she is comfortable with the range of the song.

i'm not saying that charice can't sing nor not good...i'm just saying that it is still premature for her to perform at the grammys...yes, she does sing all over the world, but her audience are common people, not paul mcartney, adele, etc...it will be different.maybe 3-5 years from now, more exposure, experience.. i would be happy to see her up there performing : )

I am glad that there is still someone there who can truly bring the spirit of Whitney come alive. For me other singers sound 'blah' to me when they sing this song. Whitney will always be remembered for having the greatest voice of all but Charice can still grow and develop, who knows she might be a legend soon. Kudos to Charice for this above awesome performance.

I think she sings this song even better than Whitney. This isn't Charice's best version though. The version where she sang in some Italian show was better. You can really feel the emotion exploding in that version.

Japan orchestra is really very professional. They are able to perform so well when listening to charice's singing. If I were them, I don't think I'm able to concentrate and perform with all the goosebumps.
