Can these blank guns of yours shoot real 9mm bullets? Or what disables it from shooting real bullets? Very interesting collection you have. Nice site as well. Keep up the good work!!
@WaRn00b85 No they can not, they can only chamber special blank shells and also are not made for the high pressure of a real bullet. The barrels have also bend semi-plugged with a long metal rod that partially blocks the barrel.
@switchingtomac Thanks for the reply.. I thought there was going to be some sort of blockage in the barrel. Very interesting. Wouldn't mind owning a few of these blank guns, but I'm sure getting them into South Africa would be impossible. Cheers.
i can see use them for movies but not just to have i think there more dangerous them real guns for (1) if someone breaks in your house and you grap the wrong gun your dead (2) if someone some how steals those guns and goes out and trys to comit a crime there dead (3) why buy the fake i havent went to the website but im sure the fakes are about the same as the real ones just saying there good for movies sets but not on the streets and anymore now days you need a real gun
@xbandit147x 1. If you don't know your real guns form your blank guns you should not have guns period. 2. someone committing a crime gets shot because he has a fake gun that doesn't work - less work for the legal system. 3 . In Canada we can not carry guns, only keep them at the house and the process to get none is not quick and easy. But if you need protection it can be done.
how do these guns work, can you reuse the bullets or you have to keep buying new ones, does the shell make the gun sounds or is it something in the shell
@invaderkike Blank guns work lie regular guns, need new bullets for them after using, Airguns do not use conventional bullets so you can shoot them just using the CO2 cartridges.
@xInfamousRealm The blank guns have real brass shells but no actual bullets on the end of the shell, the Revolver bullet is a fake bullet that a BB goes into the end of for shooting BB's
Hi, you mentioned the differences (in law) between Airgun and Airsoft. But what are the 'technical' differences between the two? I can't see any except maybe Airgun uses different projectile?
Thanks for the advice fellas, got my tanfoglio witness today and I'm very impressed it's a lot nicer than I was expecting and I can see why they are very popular.
@switchingtomac regards the witness would you say its finish would put up with daily use? I have heard that they can start to wear a little quick. Another thats got me interested is the mp- 655k I had the earlier 654k that was really great fun, but the 655k with it's bb and pellet would give best of both worlds.
@evonick Most of these guns wear faster then a real blued gun but they all wear over time especially in the high spots. I think on a 1911 having some wear marks might make it look even more realistic!
I have watched all your vids and must say they are all superb. I have a keen interest in airguns over here in the uk and am now getting more attracted to replica air pistols I have a hankering for the witness bb gun as it looks superb.
a blank gun would be a great gun prop however i would think and airgun might not sound like a real gun. and is airsoft more regulated the airguns because airsoft is meant for airsoft wars and thus meant to be shot at people?
@mwmwmwmwmmdw It is common to add the sound effect in later even with blank guns, muzzle flashes can also be added and brass hitting the floor sounds can be added too. Even though Airsoft guns are made to be shot at people, most actors do not like objects to be shot at them and wearing eye protection while shooting a scene generally does not work. It is best to use unloaded guns weather they are Airsoft or Airguns.
hahaha awesome, i have that exact same MP5, [ MP5-K CQC Foldable Stock ] but then without the Scope, and the Co2 thing, [ i have the electrical - 2,4 joule version ]
@switchingtomac Yeah its an airsoft one, but 2,4 is pretty much for an airsoft gun [ from belgium ]
next year, the Remington R700 Bolt Action, will be 3 joule, max. i just didnt get it because it wasnt there this year.. and CZ75 shell ejecting pistols arent ideal for airsoft games xD..
@switchingtomac yeaah its pretty cool yeah, but i would either lose, or have to pick up shells all the time.. for at home, and have friends shooting with them and such.. meh, its a good GBB gun tho, it has... 1.7 joules i believe
a pellet/bb air soft or blank gun if you tried to modify it to see a real bullet or blank 9mm to shoot a real 9mm round will cause the gun to explode as the metal is not ment to withstand the pressure exerding the force the gun will explode the bullet will fly in a dangerous direction and the metal shards are another thing
blank guns that flare from the front are illigal in canada
thats why there are alot of 8mm in canada
the flare from a blank gun CAN KILL if you are right up against someone's head and @ the right spot so there for a illigal but you debate with your local law enforcement agent
@btownkidd06 Sorry but your information is incorrect. Blank guns in Canada "HAVE TO" have flare adaptors to make them legal and all legal black guns that I know of in Canada shoot from the front not the top because of this. I know this because I sell them "legally". You are correct about blank guns being dangerous at point blank range and as if with any gun, they need to be handled responsibly.

@DZA720 you can't modify blank guns and a zoraki is not a replica gun its its own brand and of its own design making it not a replica
Thats why i would pay the price for a zoraki over kimar or a model replica
Blank guns are not made of real alloy metal its a diffrent chemical compound the reason why you get a kick from a real gun is the projecttiles or bullets
the force leaving the barrel and the way the shell ejector is placed causes it to move upward @ an angle
@btownkidd06 You can modify any front firing blank to shoot projectiles, you cant load live ammunition but you can fire projectiles and I'm gonna leave it at that. Also, I didn't say anything about replicas kick? (recoil) or alloy metals smart guy.
Uh yeah.. I think they use air guns particularly in movies... They tend to stick to airsoft due to the realism and more importantly... plastic bbs vs copper bbs being fired at actors. Theres a reason air guns are used to fire at targets and not people. This is completely not only misleading but somewhat dangerous. You can film a scene of someone getting shot with an airsoft gun point blank. I would not do that with an air gun.
@Surefire273 You don't put BB's in the gun just like you don't put real bullets in a real gun on set. You can remove the spring from the magazine to make sure the guns don't shoot BB's. You must have missed the point I made where I said Airsoft guns fall into a totally different category. Realistic Replica Airsoft guns in Canada are very hard to come by because they require clear plastic sections. Clear plastic sections do not look real and so can not be used very well as pro guns
@switchingtomac Actually you do put bullets into the gun during a filming. They're called blanks. Secondly if you don't bbs into the air gun, then you would be unable to shoot the gun which pretty much renders your blowback capabilities to nothing. That is to say I'm not ignorant to the concept of holding the slide lock down and drying firing. In this case however I am trying to point out your video contains many vague claims which not address can be proven dangerous.
@Surefire273 Your claim to use Airsoft guns in Canada for this purpose has on merit as you can not easily get realistic Airsoft guns because of Canadian law. Secondly a blank is not a bullet it is a round that does not contain a bullet. Thirdly anyone who would actually shoot a metal BB at some one is an idiot. Forthly, you do not need to hold the slide down, simple remove the mag spring or tape it down.
@switchingtomac I don't claim anything as you would in this video. I am merely pointing out some facts that are overlooked and some that can be misinterpreted. I apologize if you are taking this personal as I am doing nothing but constructive criticizing. If you want to start picking at my every word then sure we can go 12 rounds but I'm not the one making informative video containing faulty claims. I feel many of your videos are very informative and its a shame you can't take a criticize.
@Surefire273 I do not have a problem with constructive criticism when the person criticizing is actually correct, I have had people correct me many times and I simply thank them for pointing out the correction. Unfortunately you are wrong and I am not just going to let you hijack my upload and tell people false information.
@Surefire273 You said that people use Airsoft guns because Airsoft BB's are better for firing at actors… Really, I don't know of any actor that likes to have anything fired at them especially without eye protection. You also said that I am misleading people when you are the one giving false information about blanks being bullets and actors preferring plastic BB's to be shot at them.
@Surefire273 I never ever suggested to shot metal BB's or any kind of BB or projectile at anyone and there are very easy ways to ensure that an Airgun can not fire an actual BB for safety reasons. As far as going 12 rounds with me, that 's not going to happen as this conversation is over due to the fact that I have better things to do with my time and since this is my channel I also control it, meaning I can remove any further misinformation from you as I choose.
@Surefire273 Don't be too mad about it, that's just the way it is. It's funny how the people with no uploads always seem to be telling everyone how it is!
Mike, you would be picked up for documentaries about replicas, airsoft and guns for movies, really you do a great job and with practice you could be quite an expert, you speak clearly and some like me who speaks spanish as natural language can easly understand
@AirsoftAzn Because in Canada most Airsoft guns are not considered Firearms and we are not allowed replicas so an Airsoft gun can not look exactly like a real gun or it would be considered a replica. That's why most Airsoft guns have to have clear plastic section. Standard air guns are considered firearms in Canada therefore they are not replicas as they are actual firearms.
