@smartyziko If you download a new movies form the internet and upload it to a website that pays you for views. (Every streaming website pretty much) then this law apply to you. So if your going to try and profit of copyrighted material this bill will force web host to give them your personal information, name, ips, ip, ect. But this guy took that out of context, free use is the free speech of the internet and what protects ever gamer on youtube. read next comment for free use info.

This is complete bullshit, what the fuck is wrong with someone making a video of gaming?! Nothing, oh and I don't know if it's just me but watching walkthroughs of games makes me want to buy the game. And I'm sure it does for alot of people. So now gaming companies are going to earn less money. Then when people start losing money, and jobs. People might stop paying taxes so the economy will go to shit, not that it already hasn't. So I have one thing to say.

Grrr..... This was inevitable.. The internet has been free, but now that TV is on the decline, there needs to be a new venue for advertisements to be displayed on so that companies can continue to make money. And because politicians are totally subsidized by corporate (America, maybe your country too), this law was passed. I don't want to have to watch boring shit on YouTube; the whole reason that I like the internet is because it allows everyone with something to say, to say it.

Wouldn't it be better to change the way media i.e video, film, music and art is sold. Why not tag on a small licensing charge onto all service providers which is then pass on to consumers which allows all consumers to watch or upload so many hours of streamed video or music per mouth or on a weekly basis. Call me stupid and I know some will but the only reason that wouldn't happen is because the big guys stand to loose, but then again their loosing anyway and will continue to even this bill.
