  • I named my son Caleb, because of this....

  • I'm Lucas Buck and I'm going to need you to come into the office saturday... and sunday...

  • haha fucking goths.

  • No wonder it it was cancelled. This is a complete disgrace to us gothic people.

  • @marycory8788 Not 'goth' gothic. Think more along the lines of the classic painting. A small corner of Americana, the little piece of land that each farmer can live out their dreams on, and raise a family. Although I did see quite a hard attempt to try and add a goth bent to it all!

  • @AbiDanz Exactly. I just schooled her on the true meaning as well just before.

  • @marycory8788 lol. Are you trolling!? Heres some logic for you to chew on Mary. Definitions of Gothic that this show relates veers towards: Of or pertaining to a style of architecture with pointed arches, steep roofs, windows large in proportion to the wall spaces, and, generally, great height in proportion to the other dimensions prevalent in Western Europe.as if belonging to the Middle Ages; old-fashioned and unenlightened etc. Think before you type. Thanks.

  • @LFiers i know all that trust me but i will look over it again to see what all this show does pertain to. and this is cory. so you know who your talking to

  • @LFiers no i am not trolling but i stand by what i said this show has nothing to do with Any Gothic culture, architecture or art. Or even modern day Gothic. Nothing from the dark ages about the Gothic clans of barbaric Germany. Its is basically just going to be a crappy acting horror show witch unfortunately is a dime a dozen on sci fi. Learning history goes a long way.

  • @marycory8788 This is not from the History Channel. Its a gothic fiction themed show depicting a battle of good & evil at it's heart. It's not about you goth people. "Its is basically just going to be a crappy acting horror show" Going to be? Really? So you haven't even seen it from start to finish? Book by it's cover & all that... The acting is well beyond most of what you see even these days & the show overall is brilliant. A cult classic. But your obviously looking for a documentary. Thanks.

  • I had a dream once that they continued this show in present days. All the characters were older of course but it seemed so real. They all looked like they did in real life nowadays, then to my disappointment, I woke up and realized it wasn't real :(

  • They cancelled this series!! They fucking twats!!!!

  • @myterminalandthetrip Dam straight what fuckwits

  • They canceled this, but shows like Lost and Heroes ran for years on, even thoug they were jused out in mid-season.

BTW Is it just me or does Farscape actually use the same font?

  • @dddrrmm thts just ur opinion but u act as if ur rite

  • YOU CAN BUY THIS SHOW IN A BOX SET AT HMV!!!!!! :D

  • @Raela1916 What's HMV? They had one copy left at Best Buy, but I was unemployed at the time and couldn't see dropping the $150 USD they were asking for it.

  • @AbiDanz $150? I don't know but it seems Best Buy was pulling your leg. There's a few copies on ebay right now for abour $36.99 for the whole season.

  • @LFiers I got it for 5 bucks at a second hand shop best buy of my life i hadn't seen it glad i grabbed it

  • oh wow the little kid is the dude in fast and the furious: tokyo drift. what a sight.

  • @blacksdocrack Yep! He is an under rated actor imo. Amazing actor as a kid and I believe with a hearty script these days, he could really tear it apart. He was awesome in Jarhead too.

  • whatta brillaint show used to love this when i was a kid anyone know where ya can download the series

  • @pikey1235 try Hulu or Fancast. If you have comcast ( or now they call themselves Xfinity, it is on Xfinity, saw the whole series not to long ago on xfinity. or if you want to buy it, go to amazon,,buy the UK version if possible.

  • @pikey1235 You should just buy it man. Its not expensive. Just make sure you get the proper track listing because the excecutives even screwed up the DVD orders of the episodes. (It got cancelled for the reason because CBS aired them out of order and even omitted 4 episodes which just confused people. CBS were idiots as were Universal.

  • Thumbs up if u want another season!!

  • Its better than it looks

  • Worst accents in the world

  • Comment removed

  • @birdhaldol I'm from Alabama. My family is from all over the south. Heat of the Night does have some aweful ones, but I will say definately not the worsts one I've heard by far. So my statement was a bit of an overstatement but anytime it sounds like they're 'trying' to have an accent...that's just bad.

  • @KronantheBarbarian I actually love the accents in this. Calebs, Sherrif Bucks etc. It just sounds so cool. Especially Merly-Anns (can't remember how its spelt) accents. When I hear it many other movies, it doesnt sound as good as in this so as you say, others may be over doing it? I dont know. I love the accents in this.

  • this looks good! ty for sharing the trailer:)

(ty for the share, cant wait to watch it!<3)

  • @rockabillychickee Make sure you have the correct track listing. Them excecutives treated this like crap and messed the orders up both on air and on DVD. You can find the proper order on the internet. I think IMDB has them.

  • i remember watching this when it was first aired in the uk i was born in august 83 so i was 12- 13 years old in 1996, hard to believe im 27 now!!!!

    anyways awesome spooky show

  • I was born in '91 so this was around that time or maybe a bit later on...when i did start watching it, it was on chiller but they were re-runs...does anyone know how many episodes it was and where can i get all the episodes?

  • @RaineVengeance

You can buy them online at amazon.com even ebay. I watch them all on Hulu.com for free.

  • @vick222 Thanks for the info

  • @RaineVengeance It was made 95-96. There are 22 episodes and you could try ebay for now. Also make sure you get the proper tracklisting because them idiots at Universal ruined the track order even on the DVD.

  • @LFiers Thanks, I'm gonna look into that now :)

  • Way ahead of its time. If AG had been created now, it would be mega successful.

It starts as a tale of Good vs Evil, but it quickly gets nuanced in shades of gray. It would have been easy to identify with Caleb, the innocent.

Yet Evil becomes the true protagonist. Not only Sheriff Buck is the drive of the show, I challenge anyone not to like him. The main character is bad. And everyone loves him. Kudos to the writers and to Gary Cole who created one of the most memorable TC characters ever.

  • @Salmakia77 very well put, sherrif buck was indeed epic in his portrayal of evil!!!! and i dint lke im I LOVED him LOL

  • @Salmakia77 very well put, sherrif buck was indeed epic in his portrayal of evil!!!! and i dint like him I LOVED him LOL

  • @Salmakia77 Fantastic to know so many people feel the as me about this show. You've just repeated what I've been saying to people for a long time. It was ahead of its time. The excecs were apparently scared of it and on purpose or not, they killed it off by airing it out of order and even failing to air 4 episodes including airing the final episode before the season was over in some places. Even though it rated very well, they were scared that a villian could also be loved the way Buck was.

  • Best show ever. I taped every episode and watch it till today. I have always wondered something. On this trailer, at the 27 sec there is a scene of a woman in red, I believe it is Selena....but I have never seen this scene on any of the episodes. Does anyone know where it is from?

  • @vick222 That's from the scene where Selena seduces the deputy at the bar to keep him from turning on Lucas.

  • @nimperiale . Hey there, you know I actually found out that this scene was from "A Tree Grows in Trinity" but it wast cut out.

  • @vick222 Its on there. I remember it but fail to recall what episode its from. Just make sure you get the proper tracklisting because the DVDs are out of order of episdes and when they first aired it, they failed to air 4 episodes. That could have been one of the ones you missed. I urge you get it on DVD but make sure you watch them in order. Thanks.

  • this classic is so overlooked, and they couldnt even put it out on dvd properly,i hope this gets screened again

  • @sissors66 Yeah I know. Unbelievable hey? First CBS ruins in on tv (some say it was in an attempt to kill it because its not what they were looking for at the time even thiough the rating originally through the roof) and then Universal gives it one fnal stab 10 or so years later with the DVD release we were all waiting for. What a joke.

  • If this was out now it would be a hit.

  • Shame there are so many formulaic shows that seem to last so long, yet a gem like this was a part of our culture for so brief a time. All the more reason, then, to treasure what was put out there. Thanks for posting.

  • Had it been given a chance, this show could've been to the late '90s what True Blood is to the current era. Ok, it's not as hardcore as TB, since that's on HBO - AG was on CBS - but it had a similar feel: small town intrigue, fascinating characters, and a supernatural twist. It was unusually 'dark' for a network show, e.g. I didn't feel they tried to make Lucas (Gary Cole) overly likeable, just showed him as he is.

  • If anyone has a link to watch this that works in the UK...hook me up. Im going insane. The fact I cant watch this series again is wrecking my head.

  • @ormondl I got the UK DVDs for a very cheap price. Try play.com or the hut.com

  • does anyone know what episode the last shot of Gail is from?

  • i loved american gothic it was brill does anyone have the last episode of it.

  • @2009alliec Last episode is called "Requiem". Make sure you're watching them on order because it was aired out of order and even put to DVD out of order unbelievably.

  • @LFiers I know how fucked was that i watched the Requiem it claimed it was the 18th ep on the dvd so i watched the final ep before i should of lol

  • I remember too!!!!!! Was good!! ;)

    I was 10.

  • I remember this show! My son just said "Someone's at the door" and I immediately thought of this show! I haven't thought of this show in years....

  • THIS SHOW IS THE GREATEST EVER! Dump people just don't get it but it or some shit! Sherrif Buck rocks! Best ever! So does that cool little Caleb kid. Nice upload bro!

  • One of the al time best shows to be killed off way before it should have been. I really love this show, Sad the good ones are taken off and the usually keep the crap.

  • all are simple: to make crap is easy -- to make masterpiece is hard;-)

  • man i used to watch this show when i was 5-6 at my grandpa and grandmas house and it used to scare the shit outta me, but i had a hard time remembering it and what it was a bout, i do remember somewhat that he had a dead sister that he could communicate to i think? but man this brings back memories, and hey look, sheriff buck is the guy from pineapple express lmao

  • Omg I was the same age when I saw it!!! It was my favorite show, and it scared me as well XDD... I had been searching for it for years...I could never remember what it was called, and all I remembered about it was the scene where she turns the river to blood.... and after 15 years I finally found it again today XD

  • @SmileItcContagious

OMG I REMEMBER THAT, wow, nothin like reflecting on days past eh? haha cudos to you my friend ^_^

  • >XD ...yeah, nothing like the olden days. LOL Thank you ^-^

  • At 1:04 or 1:05 its the guy from the newer Dawn of the Dead, the sexy one they had to leave behind cause he got bitten.

  • Sheriff Buck is soooo Hot.

  • completely right. Most underrated show ever. It was basically ahead of its time and the networks were too scared of its religious undertones. It had everything and had it gone on longer it would have continued to be damn exciting.

  • Dam straight Gordclaud, great continuation of my statement and very well put. You are correct, without spoiling anything for those who ain't seen it, it's dark & religious undertones were a little too riske at the time for commerical tv networks but they were just bitchin', it was simply an awesomely cool show that was ahead of its time that scared the networks. Idiots. There's more but ill leave it at this; the ratings were great; yet they still pulled the plug on it, the rest is history.

  • I notice how the new shows these days are really riske - Desperate Housewives, Nip/Tuck, True Blood, many more in how they show a dark underbelly to normal American life. Its so sad that ths show was stopped too early coz it would have been huge for sure.

  • Oh hell yeah, no doubt it would have been a massive classic by now. If it had've been released atleast year 2000 maybe the networks wouldnt have feared the darkness and edginess of it as much and wouldnt killed it. I love that show Nip Tuck by the way, that show especially is madly riske for sure it's on the edge; within the brilliant writing they are really pushing boudaries heavily, almost like they want to test to see how much they can get away with. Anway it's such a shame; AG was pure gold!

  • I liked this show!

  • Anyone who hasn't seen this or heard of it, i'll break it down for you; it is a 1995-96 TV series by Sam Raimi. I dont want to give anything away, heck dont even watch the trailer again just go out get the series on DVD! Aslong as you have atleast 1/2 a brain you will love this! It is probably the most underrated masterpiece of an achievement in TV history, which was sadly cancelled due to some unfortunate incidents but anyway, it is awesome, highly recommended; a must have! 5/5.
