@NaFenn12 Negative, Left hand take is in Mph. Va, manuvering speed of these planes is about 160kt with a Vne (Velocity Never Exceed) of about 220kts.
It might be knots but if it is then they are doing things that are unsafe in reference to the stability of the airframe. Pilots only get that one wrong once.
The first time I saw Red Bull air racing with my own eyes I could scarcely believe what I was seeing.
If you live within a couple hundred miles of a Red Bull event - by all means, GO. Even if you're not "into" airplanes and flying, there's a pretty good chance you will be by the end of the second day.
Red Bull air racing is the most exciting international sporting event we've ever had, truly.

what is that circle located near the cross in the middle of the EFIS? It seems to move around the attitude indicator.

Looks like its the 'flight path vector' or 'velocity vector'... where the airplane is actually going versus where the nose is pointed.

Where is the speedmeter? and the unit?

Speed meter? Don't you mean speed indicator?
Apollo580 2 years ago
I though it was the same name as for the car speed indicator, which is speedometer or speedmeter, anyway thanks for your correction!

It's not sped up. There's no need to do that.
These pilots are freaking unreal.

No, it's not. You can see a clock with seconds in the lower of the EFIS display

Very nice vid. I like the EFIS display...too bad it didn't show a g meter. I'd love to see a NASCAR driver keep up with one of these guys.

Yes there is a gmeter, on the up right corner, but the letters are in white and it's hard to read.
