What comes first, one's "theoreticle constructs" or the experiance of "freedom...whilst glorifying God"? Do we -know- liberty in Christ before we can explain it or do we explain it first before we try and gain it?

I think the NT writers had gone to Christ, had met with him first, before they tried to lead others to the freedom they found in his presance: but then they wrote about themselves as if it was a complete surprise! wow, no wonder people get animated.
