I'm 6'4 and 240lbs, I know what you mean. Just do your run to get your time down. Practice sit ups and push ups. The run is usually 1.5 miles in 12 mins.
dont listen to him dude i believe u can im goin into law enforcement too with sac sheriff after high school just prepare urself and stay dedicated and ull make it
how you doin man I am considering the Police academy. the only education I have is a GED but here in Cincinnati the Cincinnati Police put you through there own academy. after I graduate I would still have to be hired in as a police officer? is there a chance that I would never get hired because I only have a GED? I mean college cost alot of money you know?
do they accept potential police officers who have college degrees faster than people who only have diploma/g.e.d. ? or is college help only for better pay?
College, hahaha! College is a waste of time. Yes you may learn a few things; however, being in the street is way different then reading about it in a book.
Most Police departments encourage potential officers to have bachelor's degrees. With only a high school level education it is difficult to move up in rank and receive better pay.
Although I say college is a waste of time, I am not saying to throw your school responsibities out the window. Trust me, I am 24 years-old and I have a master's degree, therefore, I know the importance of school. Its just that I always thought school was a waste of time for me. Then why did I go to school? Well my friend, like you said, "better pay."
Well then I suppose one could say school wasn't a waste of time. I know what you mean: there's a lot of tedious crap you have to do in school, but I'll do it if it increases my pay once I graduate.
if you jojn the police academy do you come to the camp everyday or you have to stay in the camp for months?

Depends on where you go. State Police for MD you stay in the academy for 6 months, go home on weekends.
In the county I live in, county goes to the academy throughout the day and comes back home at night.
