  • I've turned right or left in front of police cars without signalling many times before in my country. Sometimes the police also don't give signals

  • Weird how people joke about this but when you get stopped for failure to signal, you will be like OMG ARE U SERIOUS?? GA laws are much different, even from the speed trap State of Ohio which is where i relocated from to Atlanta's Metro

  • Typical police asshatery. I frequently see cops speeding excessively, driving wrecklessly, failing to signal, not to mention NOT MAINTAINING PROPER DISTANCE BETWEEN THE CAR IN FRONT OF THEM. I guess thats a new tactic, ride the car in front of yours ass' and if they veer slightly pull them over. Initiate fishing over illegal stop. Fuck cops most of them are hypocrites and the biggest criminals on the streets. Fucking pigs should be held to a higher standard not allowed to run wild.

  • @CockYaLegS Some cops will tailgate in an attempt to make you speed, trick is to just stay relaxed and ignore them. My pops had a cop block him from merging everytime he tried to slow down....the officer was trying to make him speed up and go in front of him. These are all tricks that some cops use, but you can avoid them/get around them by just staying cool and not making rash decisions. And yes most all cops speed, they are the law so they dont care.

  • FUCK THE POLICE

  • Come to Vegas.Your camera will run out of tape before an hour is up.

  • yeah! that's a joke i see them on there cell phones all the time like look at me im above the law and theres nothing you can do about it i thought you lead by example people see that then they say why should i put my cell phone down the cops doing it why can't i what happened to all the real police like everything else now days know one cares shame

  • The VIolations in this video are of GEORGIA state laws.

No 'conditional' laws of OTHER states apply to GEORGIA.

The subject of this video is a GEORGIA cop unjustifiably violating GEORGIA's basic traffic safety laws.

So, for all you cops from OTHER states had best know GEORGIA law before you make a comment here as most of the cops commenting here are INCORRECT.

This video refers to GEORGIA law ONLY!

  • yea i do that a lot. i didnt even know my car had em till a cop pointed em out to me

  • @stlplaya270 how did u get ur license didnt the instruct fall u for not using them

  • Welcome to GA. Home of the "No turn signal." Heck, I've seen people cut police cars off with no signal and the cops don't do squat!

  • Just another illustration of how cops do whatever they want but will ticket YOU for doing the same thing.

I see all the pussy replies here about how this is no big deal and how the poster is making too big a deal out of this. However, some people feel differently than these people . . . VERY differently. When YOU get ticketed for some bullshit violation like this the maybe you will feel differently about this issue. Until then these idiots will run their mouth about YOU being a dick.

  • I have an Uncle that use to be a cop. Despite the fact that he arrested men for domestic battery, he ABUSED his wives regularly. His wife, at the time, would show up at annual family gatherings with black eyes, fat lips and bruises on her face, neck and arms. When family members asked her about her injuries, he responded she fell down. He did not permit her to answer the question or speak for herself.

  • One late night, in the early 1980s when I was a teenager, my uncles wife at the time sought refuge in our house. Shortly thereafter my uncle came to the house. He beat our door down and WIELDED HIS RIFLE IN OUR FACES and declared I can kill a bitch if I want to. And The only way you can stop me is to shot me. He then dragged her out kicking and screaming. When I seen her the next day she had a black eye, fat lip and bruises around her neck and arms.

  • Even when I was a younger child I witnessed this same uncle cop push his 67 y.o. Father down a flight of steps as his response to their argument. My uncle cop wrongfully claimed self defense. He claimed that his father was reaching into his pocket to pull his knife. My Grandfather was a God fearing family man. His son cop bared false witness against his father to hide his criminal assault.

  • @paulwilson02 Look, I can respect that what happened in your life while you were young has impacted you over the years. And it is our duty as citizens to ponit out when public officials break the rules or laws they swore to enforce. However, I don't think this is what you are really looking for. There are plenty other types of corruption that are far more important than simple traffic violations. Now that Light pole video is more of the hard hitting stuff you want. PS, that's no light pole.

  • The repeated violations this cop has committed in this video clearly demonstrates this cops DISRESPECT for the law he has sworn to uphold.

  • forgot crossing muiltiple lanes without signaling. in missouri thats another violation. not sure about there.

  • As Gomer Pyle would say ""CITISENS ARREST CITISENS ARREST!

  • Failure to signal a left turn? He is in a Left turn Only Lane marks by the left arrow on the ground when you are first pulling up and the sign above your car, where the else is he going to go? If he went straight through, then he would be breaking the law. I never signal in a Turn lane.. that's why it's a turn lane, although I do signal to change lanes into a turn lane. If anything he was breaking the law by rolling over the stop line before the light went green.

  • @WestJet79 USE OF TURN SIGNALS IS ALWAYS REQUIRED BY LAW

  • @WestJet79 You ALWAYS signal. It shows other drivers that you see the fact that you are required to turn left. If you don't signal, I will assume you are an idiot who is considering hitting the gas, swerving into the center lane, in order to pass a school bus. Your turn signals are the best way to communicate with other drivers. Proper use of them would avoid numerous traffic accidents.

  • nice tunes lol

  • everyone makes mistakes dude :/

  • Yes, and civilians get cited and fined for their mistakes, therefor cops that make these same mistakes must get the same penalties.

Actually, as cops should be setting the example, they should get higher fines for these "mistakes".

  • I agree with cops should be setting examples but like i said everyone makes mistakes and I have not know a cop where I live to cite someone for a blinker violation.

  • YouTube/Google

is CENSORING some of my comments that I am trying to post upon MY OWN VIDEOS!!!!!

  • From this point onward this discussion will be limited to the contents of this video.

I will no longer argue with cops about any "hypothetical situations"

  • In these comments you can find "cops that lack legal and moral reasoning" as they resort to making "insults and name calling".

  • As far as the turn signal issue goes;

"motor vehicle safety" should be as 2nd nature to a cop as "gun safety" should be.

Give me 1 JUSTIFIABLE reason that a cop should not use turn signals.

  • Wow you people are so stupid. Law Enforcement Officers are exempt from ALOT of different vehicle code laws. And when it comes to not using a turn signal many officers do not use them on duty for the reason of not letting their next move be predicted by others preventing ambushes from criminals. Dont speak about things you know nothing about!

  • A cop not using his turn signal would not prevent an ambush! That is as silly as saying "if you dont smoke you wont get cancer". Its just rubish.

Clearly you are a cop attempting to justify an unjustifiable violation.

As I have seen good cops set good examples by USING their turn signals. They clearly are not concerned about "ambushes".

  • Hey Paul, Instead of bitching and complaining why dont YOU join the force and supervise? Instead of crying on a website. Its called action.

  • This video is only one example of the many OTHER ways to take action

  • @paulwilson02

Ok, has this particular officer been cited or reprimanded as a direct result of this video?

  • They will Not allow me to answer your question. Isn't that something?

    censored, again.

  • I posted your answer twice, yet it does not appear.

  • I loved the case in which a civilian busted a cop for illegal parking. The cop got a $600 fine.

  • You should knowm by now, it's one law for them and one for us, it's the same here in the UK

  • The last time I was cited was for "improper lane change" I commited this act at 4 o'clock in the morning. The cop and I were the only vehicles within a half of a mile radius of the intersection. Even though there were no other vehicles close enough to the intersection for me to "endanger", I got a $100 citation because: "..technically, it's the law."

  • I'm sure by now you've received my response to your email in your personal email box. Cops are not exempt from the law; technically, each of these videos can be used against them as evidence. Is there an obvious bias on behalf of the people who claim to be the law? Yes. Does my boss constantly threaten to fire me because of my civil position? Yes.

  • I personally have caught officers sitting in their patrol car watching a MOVIE on the computer.

    So much for "workload" claims.

As far as claims of "stress", I supose it could be stressful to get paid to sit in a car and watch movies instead of sitting on a comfy sofa to watch movies.

  • The 4 am incident is a classic act of boredom on the side of the police officer. he can pull you for it since it is law, however, the necessity is what makes me laugh. As far as workload; take the saying, ;when it rains it pours.' Meaning that it doesn't always rain. As far as stress, getting shot at is as stressful as anything can get. The question is how often does that actually happen. Not often where I'm from.

  • Do not ignore the fact that hundrads, maybe thousands, of civilians across this country DO get CITED for this same violation.

If it is a serious enough of a violation for civilians to be cited, then it is a serious enough of a violation for cops to be cited.

  • Keep up the debates. i work to protect citizens from harm and blatant stupidity such as in this video needs to be acknowledged. My supervisor has a busted taillight, do I give him a difficult time about that. Yup!

  • Use of turn signals is Required by Law PERIOD.

Do you declare that cops are Exempt from the laws they enforce?

Any violation of the law by police must be reasonably justified.

In this case there is no reasonable justification for this cop's multiple violations.

  • cops think there above everyone so they don't need to follow the rules. They go to school for a bite and there shit don't stink

  • Cops that issue tickets to Civilians for Turn signal violations also Defend this cop's unjustified multiple violations.

I'd bet these cops would defend the police brutality videos too.

  • All of the Negative comments made here are from "personally offended" cops.

If you cops have the "balls" to back up your comments then include your state, city, county and badge number.

  • How Very Arrogent and Ignorant you Canadians and other Individuals are to think that YOU alone can speak for 200 million Americans.

  • who gives a s*** and why do you roam town filming nothing that is worth watching he failed to signal call the national guard we have a police officer who does not signal

  • lmao paul wilson your a fucking moron. no one cares if the cop uses his signal or not. and oh, was that a radar detector that i heard at the beginning? im pretty sure thats illegal.

  • radar detectors are only illegal in virginia, and D.C

  • Cops never use their signals, I have seriously never seen a cop use a signal when turning or switching lanes, and I appreciate that you take videos like this.

  • im a wanna be cop and i agree if your a cop you should fallow the law i mean we all forget but he should now better i see cops do that all the time where i live well well any ways no ones perfict but still its the law

  • oh...... WOW he didn't use his turn signal ohhhhhhhhhh, lets have him fired

  • THing is, if that cop was behind u and u did the same, u wulda got a ticket!

  • @scottiethebody0 y not if that was you or me we would get a big fine and if we did not pay that fine we would get probation and if we refused probation we would get locked up i see cops braking stupid laws like this all the time they are cop they are ment to inforce the law not brake it they are not above it we need more ppl watching cops and doing what we can to police the police

  • the pigs always say DO WHAT I SAY NOT WHAT I DO..!!

  • campaign for liberty

  • Are your serious?? Its a left turn lane only!!! With a traffic light to specifically control that one lane of traffic. The use of a turn signal isn't required.

  • It is required by Law!

  • 8/28/08-Confirmed by 2 local

    Sheriff's deputys:

    "..use is required by Law."

    "..everywhere in the country."

  • @fredrod4 any police officer will tell you it is the law to use your turn signal ANY time you change lanes or direction. If anyone else would of done it they would have gotten a ticket.

  • @069Skittles not nescessarily. A signal is only required when there is someone to signal to. The guy in the video with the camera was far enough behind that officer that he did not need to signal to him that he was going to make a right turn.

  • @fredrod4 The use of a turn signal is required........stupid. You're one that needs to lose your license.

  • @fredrod4 technically it is required because it helps pedestrians who are crossing the road. Yes it seems like such a minor thing to nit pick about but who ever told you it isn't required is wrong

  • @fredrod4 Any turn in traffic you plan on making requires you to use a turning signal (This is required by law). In a turning lane only, a lot of cops won't care, but don't let that blind you as to what that law is.

  • @fredrod4 Actually i know this comment is kinda old but i just watched the video and this guy is correct about both accusations. First of all if you are the first car in a turn only lane , you MUST signal under the law and all proceeding cars after that may not use a turn signal ... the cop shouldn't be fired BUT should be corrected by re-instating the laws that he sworn to uphold when he became a police officer.

  • Please review past legislations and compare them with the Constitution and Bill of Rights and you will find that "the government" has committed TREASON against the People!

Police remember your Job is to serve and protect the People not "the government"!

  • hey bud just to let you know when you took your left hand turn you made an illegal turn also you went immediately to the number 2 lane when you should have turned into the lane farthest to the left. That also means you changed lanes too close to an intersection which is another charge too. Im just saying the pot is calling the kettle black here.

  • Correct. The cop is a Public Servant and Should be Setting Positive Examples For the Public. This cop set an example and I followed it. I also decided that as the cop chose to drive his own way then I can drive my own way as I posed no more hazard to other drivers than the cop did. If a cop unjustifiably violates a law then I can follow the cop's example. Especially on Public streets as I have been a Professional Driver on these streets for 25 years.

  • i agree where i live i see cops repeatedly doing 70+ mph w/o any sirens or lights on city streets in like 30-35 mph zones.

  • It appears to me that there are SERIOUS PROBLEMS with POLICE TRAINNING!!

Based on the EVIDENCE a SERIOUS PUBLIC INVESTIGATION INTO POLICE TRAINNING NEEDS TO BE DONE!

  • man cops do this kind of stuff all the time, you think they care.

i had a cop u turn i saw him do it, turned his lights off and watched me from a distance very dangerous. then sped by me like he was mad because i didn't commit a traffic infringement.

just cuz my car is to good to be on the streets. blah. i bet if you showed this tape on court they laugh and toss it aside

  • That would be illegal for a judge to throw out EVIDENCE.

    The video is EVIDENCE.

  • aw man.. i was hoping he would run the red and crash or something...

  • lol he turned into a donut shop

  • i agree with you on this thing ...paulwilson02 ...!!

  • A WHOLE 1:04 OF MY LIFE FOR THAT STUPID SHIT?! I didn't hear your turnsignal either....

  • CLEARLY if you are watching ANY videos on this website then you have much more than 1:04 of time to WASTE.

  • That old Tomar lightbar looks like hell....

  • wow get a life ur not fuckin perfect either u jus dont have anything else better to do

  • Lets just face it, cops have WAAAAAAY too much power anyway. You shouldn't be able to receive a ticket for going 5mph over the speed limit. Just like they should not be allowed to give tickets for failing to signal, after all we are all HUMAN...... But as long as the tickets they write are collecting revenue for the Government, they'll keep harassing us, that's all they are anymore, harassing moneymakers! It's not about serving the public anymore, hasn't been for DECADES now.

  • Comment removed

  • You realize you did not signal as well, correct?

  • Yes. As a Public Servant he set the example and I followed it!!!!

  • dude.....just let it go...u swear its a big deal......i hav never seen a cop use der signals....who cares...get a life....

  • Obviously you care enough to comment on it.

  • Police, in general, do not have to use their lights and/or sirens. In the event they were responding to a robbery, would using lights and siren be logical? No it would scare off the criminal. They do not have to abide to as strict rules of the road as civilians.

  • Speeding 60MPH through a Residential or School zone without at least warning lights seems most illogical to me. I'm sure the criminal can't Hear your warning Lights coming.

In any case as far as I am concerned, Police when Not on emergency response are Required to set Good and Positive Examples for the Public.

If you are going to wear the badge and carry the gun I REQUIRE YOU TO BE A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL FOR THE PUBLIC!

Otherwise, Never Expect Me to Respect any Law that YOU DO NOT RESPECT!

  • I've seem cops go to the hospital and the morg after rolling their cars. The criminals got away!

  • OOOOOHHHH, you got that officer. Get a life.

  • I do.

Busting Cops that have No business carrying a Badge or a gun.

  • Was that a protected left turn (green arrow)? I couldn't tell if it was an arrow or not.

  • Dosent matter.

The Law Requires use of Signal, Period

  • Well I know that. I always signal even when no other cars are around. But I was just curiout is that was a protected left turn.

  • You're a fucking idiot.

  • As you have no reasonable argument to offer, you resort to making vulgar insults. This has been the typical response of most of the cops that posted comments here.

  • I hate when cops (or anyone actually!) dont use their turn signals.. pisses me awf!

  • By GA law this was illegal. However, it would be legal in most US states sense his movement didn't affect another vehicle. In GA though you always have to use your blinker per §40.6.123. Last but not least, this was a stupid video to post... dude, cops do worse shit... I almost got side-swiped by a cop doing a 100mph weaving through traffic with no strobe lights on. No one cares if cops don't use blinkers because they don't either.

  • ooooh! just because they have a badge does NOT mean they don't have to use there turn signals! if I tried that I'd have a ticket to deal with.

  • When they don't have their flashy lights on, they are just like normal drivers.

  • word.

  • They are human too ! they do wrong stuff too.

you cannot blame all cops because one of them is an asshole. one thing that cops hate is paperwork. That's why sometimes they don't do their job correctly

  • I do not blame All Police. I refer Only to the cops that Fail to do their Job.

Paperwork, like stress, is a part of the Job!

What a cop WANTS to do and does not WANT to do is IRRELAVENT! to the responsibilities of the job! Any Employer in the private sector will tell you that.

Accepting a job, any job, means that you accept ALL responsibilities of that job.

If you do not like the paperwork and stress of the job then find another job.

    Its just that simple!

  • You need to get a life man ! seriously ! I think you are so free that you don't know what do to except being nosy

  • About a month ago, I encountered a 3 vehicle accident. As no officer was on the scene, I moved my vehicle into place and turned on my warning lightbar with traffic advisor and increasd traffic safety at the scene. I was informed by the people involved that the police were notified. As we waited for police response, I watched a police car drive by that ignored the scene. About 20-30 minutes later a motorcycle officer arrived. 20-30 minutes is all the time it takes to drive from one end of this...

  • town to the other. About 10 minutes later his partner arrived. 5 minutes later his partner left the scence. Leaving me to have to remain in place for the Safety of the Officer AND 5 Civilians. This upset me as I expected an officer to "take my place" as I still had WORK to do! In this case 2 OFFICERS NEGLECTED THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES to Public Safety!

And yet cops expect to be respected.

I ONLY respect Officers that DO THEIR JOBS CORRECTLY and that includes setting a Good Example for the publi

  • Any injuries in the accident?and what time of the day was it? if it's just a fender bender it get placed to the bottom of the calls. And if it happened between 5pm and 8 pm which is the busiest time for police you can just forget it, at that time we get hundreds of 911 calls for things like house alarms, domestic disputes, run away teens, missing children, accidents with injuries. There's an officer for every 5k citizens you do the math many times we can even eat our diner. Do you skip your diner?

  • No injuries. The time was between 8 and 10 AM, i dont recall exact time. It was clear by the casual movement of the officers that they were in no hurry. They did not react as though they had anything else to do. In my opinion they walked very SLOWLY to be busy. the first motorcycle officer that arrived took his time getting off his bike, and then fumbled around in his bag slowly. His partner conducted himself in the SAME manner we he arrived. I did not hear any transmissions on their radios.

  • OH, I eat before and after my work shift, not during. I am living proof that missing a meal will not kill you. The BIG pot bellies on some cops seems to indicate that they eat during their entire work shift.

  • HAHA, actually under Georgia law you dont have to signal when turning out of a turn lane, and you dont have to signal unless not doing so would endanger other drivers. He didnt cut anyone off and there was no one in front of him therefore under current GA law he doesnt have to signal. Nice waste of time though. If you want the law or the case law to go with it I will send it to you, but your wrong.

  • Yes, please send it to me. Are you sure it applies to COLUMBUS, ga.? I know people that were in this VERY situation and were CITED! dispite the fact that they ALSO posed No hazard to other drivers.

  • Are you going to send it to me??

    8/28/08-Confirmed by 2 local Sheriff's deputys:

    "..use is required by Law."

    "..everywhere in the country."

  • Stop being a fucking douche bag ! give him a break

Cops are full of stress ! I noticed that he was looking at his computer and he was going somewhere silent.

That Cop saves your ass from being raped

  • That language is NOT neccessary!

You sound like a Cop and former military that has been "personally" offended!

"Stress" is a part of the job as it is for MANY other Jobs as well as Life itself!

And is NO excuse as any employer will tell you!

"That cop" nor any other, has EVER saved me from ANYTHING! I learned many years ago, when dealing with my Wife's stalker, the police take action only after "he" has done something, which is then TOO LATE!

Only my GUN! saves me from being raped!

  • I hope this isn't what you do for a living, drive around to criticize, I didn't hear your blinker on. And If he is in a left turn lane ONLY your not required to put a blinker on and seeing as that you were to his left when he turned and he went into the right lane that's fine because he was the first car on the road, now if he had someone on his ass to his right then he would have signaled. Many people do this stuff man, not everyone is a perfect driver.

  • If you carry a Badge and gun

I REQUIRE YOU TO BE A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL FOR THE PUBLIC!

That includes setting Good Exmples of morality and responsibility!

  • Ofc. Beebe badge 122 of Lake County, out of Montana. I approach it from the other end of the perspective. I generally don't follow those little rules either, but I also don't really care to pull people over for those things either. i'll pull someone over if either the action endangered someone on the road, or if I need a reason to get someone of interest stopped. ie, suspect possibly has a warrant, initial stop will be for failure to yield, signal, etc.

  • @sylentvoyce So as a Law enforcement officer you view the Law as "..little rules.."??

And by your own admission; a law enforcement officer that: "..generally don't follow those little rules.."

  • @sylentvoyce I understand the reason behind the second part of your comment. If you stop someone and that person does not have any warrants and has not atleast commited a traffic violation then you have exposed yourself to a possible harassment charge.
