  • RIP Jet, you true legend.

I think this is one of the best tunes ever!

  • He always had a laugh with his fans throughout his illness. RIP

  • Why did you leave the group, Jet?

Greetings from an old fan in DK

  • I've still got the 45r.p.m. of this! 'Driftin' was the 'B' side...and they were, of course, still 'The Drifters' in those days.

  • Great clip and i was there too!. Love this song

  • is the keyboard cliff hall?

i saw them in the jacobi theater last saterday.

    it was great.

  • Yes it is Cliff Hall.

  • Jet Harris plays here a Fender Bass VI......

    i love this Bass

  • Yeah, nothing quite like it.

  • Backing Jet: Neil Ainsby (rhythm), Nathan J. Hulse (bass), John Tuck (drums), Colin Pryce-Jones (lead guitar). Plug rapiers are go! in Google.

  • I have been led to believe that the great Jet Harris was the first to play an electric bass live over here which created a lot of interest in the instrument.Previously the 'coffin' double bass was the order of the day.A brilliant player and a top bloke to boot I hear.

  • I have met Jet a few times and you do hear correctly a very nice modest guy. What a combination Jet and the Rapiers make. Brilliant video.

  • I love Shadows music, particularly when Jet was part of the setup.Following his partnership with the late great Tony Meehan,he seemed to disappear from public view. They say that you should never meet your hero but I would love to see Jet play live.Thank you so much for being in touch.

  • Am sure Jet had the first six string electric bass in the uk,what a sound he got out of it,excellent guy as well.

  • Thanks for your message,it is much appreciated.Jet's got a great website. You must visit if you have not already done so!

  • Hi, Thanks for that, will check it out,

    Best Regards,

    Richard

  • As I remembered it from the 60's. Great.

  • I love this number by Jet. In fact we called our band "Jet Black" in recognition of it. I've rated it awesome. Please check out some of our clips, ie.

    Jet Black - Sleepwalk,

    Jet Black - The Savage

    Jet Black - Apache.

We are based in Perth W.A.

  • Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some trading cards of 1960's chart topping stars: Jet Harris, Elvis Presley, Adam Faith, Cliff Richard, Billy Furry, Frank Sinatra, Lonnie Donegan, and Shirley Bassey.
