He rarely double kicks faster than 110 bpm, even though the songs call for a 130bpm count-150bpm count (Average Metallica song speed). Lars compared to Nick Menza, Shawn Drover, Charlie Benante, and Dave Lombardo SUCKS. His skill is very limited, and he shows this all the time. Btw, Symphony of Destruction is one of Megadeth's easiest songs, duh you learned it.

@dogg0000 Fuck off, you forgot The Call of Ktulu. Dave wrote the beginning main riff, and Hetfield adjusted it according to the song. Dave also wrote the solos for each song, and Kirk adjusted them. Re-wrote some of them for the most part, but almost ALL the Kill em All solos are Dave with a Kirk Hammett "touch" if you can call it that and more than half the RTL solos are Dave's, including the solo in the song "Ride the Lightning". Again, it just has a Kirk Hammett touch to it.

The middle solo in 4 Horse was by James. He wrote most of the early solos that weren't by Dave. Fact. Kirk didn't start really writing solos until Puppets.

They're 2 of my 3 favorite bands, the 3rd being Anthrax (2nd favorite band). And I do much research on all 3 of them.

When it comes to this epic war I forever stand on the Megadeth side of the battlefield but listening to Metallica's early material its great, but Megadeth's music is way more advanced and complex from day 1 to present day. Metallica was good for their first 4 or 5 albums (keep in mind that Mustaine wrote a lot of Kill' Em All) but they've lost their edge since, (Notice how most of Metallica's riffs in this video are from their early albums) Megadeth= 25+ years of Metal

@MeTaLiXe You play guitar at all? The riffs in Holy Wars are far more difficult, as well as pleasing to the ear than Puppets are. Granted, you need more stamina to play all of Puppets with it's proper, down picking technique. But Holy Wars' riffs are more technical in any sense. The middle, Punishment Due, part of the song is easier, but the solos are Marty Friedman solos, which says everything right there. Lyrics, Holy Wars takes it. Vocals, Puppets takes it. Guitar, Holy Wars takes it. HW wins
@fearthemunky It's the only slow, boring, repetitive, mindless song on the entire album. Sanitarium was slower in the beginning, too, but that song was pure gold, as it had a really powerful presence. The Thing that Should Not Be was just....UGH to listen to.
@TeamKorrupt Sure, he's great, I'm not denying that. But he's not even close to on par with Chris Broderick, and Dave Mustaine still totally mops the floor with Kirk's playing style. Shawn Drover is a pretty decent drummer, but he's not nearly as good as say Nick Menza. And Lars Ulrich totally sucks. Rob and Dave E. are Bass GODS, and James is a rhythm god. Really, just kick out Kirk, and that'd be a sweet band.
I dont like the track selection. F.E.: htf can u explain Creeping Death´s missing there? and train of consequences? Besides that, and that you included Fuel on metallica´s best riffs (WTF????), i think Metallica became a Super Band and they passed from trash/metal and they made a new thing, something we never heard before. Megadeth in the other hand, always kept the trash spirit with em, like an essence (besides 1 or 2 sucky albums), and we can see the Moustain´s vigence with the new records

Megadeth has more good riffs and more good music in general. But when Metallica writes a good song, it blows everyone else away. This argument is ridiculous anyway. James and Dave are the second and third best at writing riffs and neither of them will ever come close to number one: Tony Iommi.

Phantom Lord, Metal Militia, Jump In The Fire and The Four Horsemen, but Hammett added some shit to KEA and recorded the whole thing...

@DrummerElite13 And Lars does suck. He uses the same beat in every song almost. He abuses the snare drum like it's the only drum he has. He rarely double kicks faster than 110 bpm, even though the songs call for a 130bpm count-150bpm count (Average Metallica song speed). Lars compared to Nick Menza, Shawn Drover, Charlie Benante, and Dave Lombardo SUCKS. His skill is very limited, and he shows this all the time. Btw, Symphony of Destruction is one of Megadeth's easiest songs, duh you learned it.

@MrHoopla But headcrusher is not one of their easiest, and you obviously dont know that lars happens to use the other drums other than the snare and dosnt need to use a fast double bass kick because metallica is not a screamo or death metal band like joey jordison in slipknot, and you cant do a hardcore extremely fast double bass to a song that dosnt match the speed, and i know that lars isnt as good as someone like charlie benante, but Lars is one of my idol and inspirations

@dogg0000 Fuck off, you forgot The Call of Ktulu. Dave wrote the beginning main riff, and Hetfield adjusted it according to the song. Dave also wrote the solos for each song, and Kirk adjusted them. Re-wrote some of them for the most part, but almost ALL the Kill em All solos are Dave with a Kirk Hammett "touch" if you can call it that and more than half the RTL solos are Dave's, including the solo in the song "Ride the Lightning". Again, it just has a Kirk Hammett touch to it.

No solo from Dave's was copied note for note from Kirk, I'd be an idiot to say that. Hugh Tanner wrote everything in Hit the Lights, as well as Motorbreath. Solos and all. The middle solo in 4 Horse was by James. He wrote most of the early solos that weren't by Dave. Fact. Kirk didn't start really writing solos until Puppets.

@956crazyman19 Like I said, ALMOST all the solos in KeA are Dave's, and Kirk adjusted them. Almost half or half the RTL solos are Dave's as well, Kirk adjusted them too. James wrote the other solos. In Puppets, Kirk started writing solos, and James started soloing himself. I know almost as much about Metallica as I do Megadeth. They're 2 of my 3 favorite bands, the 3rd being Anthrax (2nd favorite band). And I do much research on all 3 of them.

When it comes to this epic war I forever stand on the Megadeth side of the battlefield but listening to Metallica's early material its great, but Megadeth's music is way more advanced and complex from day 1 to present day. Metallica was good for their first 4 or 5 albums (keep in mind that Mustaine wrote a lot of Kill' Em All) but they've lost their edge since, (Notice how most of Metallica's riffs in this video are from their early albums) Megadeth= 25+ years of Metal

@MeTaLiXe You play guitar at all? The riffs in Holy Wars are far more difficult, as well as pleasing to the ear than Puppets are. Granted, you need more stamina to play all of Puppets with it's proper, down picking technique. But Holy Wars' riffs are more technical in any sense. The middle, Punishment Due, part of the song is easier, but the solos are Marty Friedman solos, which says everything right there. Lyrics, Holy Wars takes it. Vocals, Puppets takes it. Guitar, Holy Wars takes it. HW wins

Shawn Drover is a pretty decent drummer, but he's not nearly as good as say Nick Menza. And Lars Ulrich totally sucks. Rob and Dave E. are Bass GODS, and James is a rhythm god. Really, just kick out Kirk, and that'd be a sweet band.
