  • If western cities were this crowded people would be killing each other left right & centre. Regardless of how this looks - Indians are one of the most civil people in existence. I definitely wanna spend some years living in Mumbai.

  • Lmao are you cereal??

  • Interesting video. I dont think I can do it but its fun to watch.

  • i just imagine the smell inside the train...

  • good job guys !! u made it

  • I love the guys at the station, first the one who accidentally bumps into the subject of the video and turns around to give a quick smile, then the group that crowds around the camera and the two guys, just eyeing the scene with interest. And at the parts when they're getting on and jumping off you'll notice a few men beaming smiles and friendly laughs to the camera, like it's all in good fun. This is why I love Indians so much

  • if you find place to put both of your feets, it's not the full traffic!

  • i hope i can find a job elsewhere, i dont want to go to this country!!!

  • @nadhim69

haha lol nahh it ain't that bad dude...its just Bombay. They rely on trains heavily. You can use the buses although they are not that convenient but much more user-friendly than the trains.

New Delhi trains are the ones to ride. They look like european metros.

  • I gotta struggle more 3 years in mumbai trains to get to my college.

  • This is average traffic on Mumbai Trains.

    Just average.

  • People or the wimps from The Gold Coast should take on research, to see the trains from there cannot even compared like this one in this video.

  • wow insane

  • Hahahaha 4 years of Train travel in Mumbai to get to my engineering college everyday!! HAHAHAH it was TASK..... especially if I accidentally got on to the 2nd class it was INSANE!! I JUST LOVE MUMBAI!!

Pretty much doing the same thing in NYC everyday now!! hahaha..... The PATH Train is just slightly better!!

  • ma he cazzo é sta merda? tutti ammassati tipo campo di concentramento...ma puttana eva lo tsunami non se li poteva portare via tutti? minchia che paese di merda

  • simple insane passengers

  • mumbai trains are very dangerous lol

  • nossa

os trans andam com as portas abertas? e que gente ignorante empurrando uns aos outros.

  • Believe it or not, there are separate compartments for ladies (2 per train if I'm not mistaken). But the density is no different from what you just saw.

  • no not at all u are right that is why womens with their husbands are fucking in gents compartments and creating rukus to us, thats we are facing a problem as they occupy our seats shame on indian girls and womens

  • I don't see any female there? do they never ride the train or what

  • @OrsinoDuke

     Females have seperate compartments

  • Good Video ! But there's a method to this seeming madness..only if you look beyond the tubes and eurails ! Lets not have a standardized world or judge every city by his/her own standards..try n enjoy it for wat it is as this has its own charm :)

  • Doors open,and,train started.

    Very very very dengeurous.

  • I am from India..and no doubt, what a fucking shit hole.

  • what a shit hole...

  • Great video guys....

I'll never complain about the rush-hour in London again - LoL.

  • Comment removed

  • u should not, cuz at least trains in tokyo got doors which prevents ppl from failling into the rail-tracks and die during train operation. Moreoever, japanese ppl take showers normally twice a day (some lazy ppl would at least wash themselves once a day), less theives in the train and less noise.

  • Eendiah, de laahgest deemahkrasi een de vehrald! Pawah to Eendiah! Eendiah vill be de Sooopa-Pawah in tdwantie-tdwantie!

  • forgot your mask,,or you have a stuffy nose??

  • a heaven for gay

  • Too good an attempt guys, well done. But to be frank that rush was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Andheri is the station where most of the people from suburbs get down. You should have travelled further to Borivli or bhayandar (where I stay) to see the REAL crowd. Not that you'd have got in anyway but that would have been fun to watch. Especialy the trains that leave from the same station like Borivli locals. Maybe i would on my next trip. Cheers ~R. - Singapore.

  • hmm they sound like oz

  • too right mate! Cheers

  • hahahaha.... It's funny! great vid.

You are a happy, and great man!

I want to go to Mumbai some time and to challenge by all means.

    5stars add! Cheers from Japan!!!

  • Thank you.. it was fun. I love japan, now there is a fun quirky country!

    Cheers Ray

  • Lol...amazing vid man...must say u manage to catch the train pretty well considering that u don't travel often in a mumbai train like situation...:P..the cameraman was great too...:)

  • this might be the only way to carry 6 Million passengers a day, yes Mumbai local trains carry 6 Mn passengers, though inconvenient for the passengers but you reach destination on time. Living in Mumbai may not be the luxurious place but people who get habitual to this can survive any where in the world. These 2 guys had enough guts to dare board a train in the wee hours.. good job!!!

  • Thank you for your comment and observations. I love India, the people and especially the rail system. We could not believe how cicil every one is to each other, they could teach a thing or two to all the developed countries! Cheers Ray

  • Hahaha great work.

I just finished editing and uploading my video to find you'd already done the same thing! I guess mine's at night, and the Aussie is holding the camera and not talking... But damn similar yaar.

  • Don't worry the Indian government is focussing on better mass transit. Unfortunately though Tata Motors plans on clogging up the roads even more with the people's car.

  • Great Man you both could brave the crowd. I have seen Westerners, who are travelling for the first time, struggle in the crowd.

Another challenging travel would be a VIRAR bound train from ANDHERI in the evening after 6.00 PM (weekdays) & try alighting in BORIVALI station (the next halt for that train). In fact the people sitting on the rooftops in your video are mostly from the residents of BORIVALI - VIRAR suburbs.

  • Thank you for the detailed info. We love Mumbai, we love the trains and the people.

  • hehehehahha yeah i go throug this hassel every day cary thing right but its the only way to travel fast coz road are alywz jam in mumbaiiiii MUMBAI MERE JAANNNNN!!!

  • it is true that roads are more packed but one who is unexperienced in travelling by train in mumbai is time consuming as you have to wait probably for quite a while to catch a train.

hopefully the railway minister will do someting about it and improve it as fast as possible.

  • OMG that look like atns !!

  • population problem much? yea...

  • cant the train stop for a while , i mean damn

  • no wonder 4000 people die from train accident in a year.

  • Raymond, didn't it feel as though you accomplished something great? I know I did everyday during my college years.

Considering this video, you picked the safest rail line of the three, Andheri on Western. You should try the Central line, try getting on from Kurla on a fast one and getting down at any next station towards CST(7 to 9AM weekdays).

    Now thats a challenge.

  • I am a Steward with Qantas so get to Mumbai every month or so and train it into town every time..yes it feels great all the time ...love it!!

I'll check out that line sounds like my next challenge, thanks for the tip.. cheers Ray

  • Used the trains a lot when I was in India and it ain't much fun. Mumbai is a crazy place, just like most other Indian cities.

  • What a spacious city!

  • I am non-Indian, yes. Are you speaking the truth?

  • It is as it is!

  • lol, i was asking the guy whose comments have been erased. looks like a fun place though!

  • That was completely awesome. I can't wait until I go to Mumbai, such a magical place.

  • too much population in too dense an area. man they ought to move :P

  • haha, that was brilliant, going to mumbai in a few months.. looking forward to experienceing that!

  • Glad you enjoyed!! What a town, entoxicating place. Make sure you have a beer at Leopolds in Calaba!

    Cheers ray

  • yeah will try thanks! hey... where'd you guys stay? hotel i mean? any other "must see/do's"?

    Nina

  • heyy .. im from mumbai ... tht was great video.. captures the essence of travelling in local trains of mumbai .. did tht for 5 years ..now im in UK .. but will never forget tht experience

  • I have never been there but this looks like ridiculous fun!! LOL I want to travel to Mumbai just to get on and off the trains. LOL

  • glad you enjoyed!

  • wow thnks i dont live there! i live in scotland, Glasgow and sometimes we cant get a seat with a table {[]} }{[]}{ (thats the way the seats go) but i fell lucky now that i can get a seat even next to a smelly hobbo!

  • i love mumbai!!! no place on earth like it...

  • Hey very nice work, I live in Mumbai and I see that you have captured everything quite nice, if these videos are less than 10 mb, then would it be possible for you to send them over to me rantingraj at gmail dot com pls I will be greatful if they aren't < 10mb, maybe u can upload them to filesharing host like rapidshare, will be awaiting a reply, thanx ...

  • frgt to mention that your techniquie was god but you use ur shoulders and elbows to push ppl out of way, tht's the best way of doing it n ensures success, als, I needed all videos u may have done wen in India, would be glad if u could possible do this, thnx ...

  • hi, just read your email, Ill see if i can compress the uncut versions for you.. cheers Ray

  • Well done Aussies, loved the video, yeah it is heartbreaking to see the reality in India, ESP in BOMBAY and CALCUTTA any big city really, hat off to the spirit of the poeple though.

  • Glad you liked it, I love the spirit of the Indians, a special land.

  • Mate you can come to my place in Andheri the next time you come to Mumbai....really :D

  • thanks mate, I am there a alot, might have to one day.. cheers Ray

  • lol and i thought coimbatore is crowded....XD

  • you know what's ironic, im from mexico and never been to the beach!!!!! jajajaja(well in my country i have not, but in the US yes), but i have been skying to this place called bosques de monterreal in coahuila de zaragoza, a few hours from monterrey

  • oh my god!!!!!! i am from Monterrey Mexico, i always thought of Mexico as being a disorganized, packed, and chaotic country with bad public transportation, i see this and Mexico is like a first world country comparated to India

  • Love Mexico... Go Taxco, Playa del carmen and Isla Majeras!!! Awesome!!

  • It remind me so many things waoo indian trains are still so cool!!

  • thats really worth an experience. If you have travelled in mumbai local trains, you can travel anywhere in the world

  • dude when in India...stay away from the trains! im Indian and whenever im in india i stay away from them...btw where are these guys from???

  • Hey mate, from australia, we loved it, and have done that trip a dozen times and looking forward to more! Cheers

  • wow....dude don't take this the wrong way but ur crazy man!....oh really! i was in Australia for 5 years...which part?......btw did you have random people stalking you in the station?

  • From Melbourne... no, no stalkers... you should see my stuff from the Sahara, The Yemen, and Syria... just as much fun and crazy!! I have one from Beanos Airiers coming too... Cheers ray

  • this video is shameful.

before everyone goes nuts, i am an indian too.

just too many ppl in india.

  • That's because you have a stereotyped view of how the world should be and anything which is not like that ought to be shameful. This is the only metro that is up an running withing hours of blast. Wonder if that is shameful to you too? Stop looking down on everything your own and Get a life

  • this is a great video. if you travel to mumbai don't waste your money on a first class train ticket. they are usually more crowded than regular compartments. also, if you're a woman i would HIGHLY recommend traveling in the ladies only compartment, it's much safer.

ah i miss this! if you can ride a train in mumbai you can do almost anything!

  • Thanks, glad you like. When in Mumbai, a train ride is a must.. love it!!

  • wow, no wonder 4000 people die from train accident in a year.

  • ha..very nice! true india!

  • Nostalgic man.... thanks for kindling those memories.. i miss the travel so muchhhhh... Spidey is no match for any "Mumbaikar" :)

  • hahaha...class video man..i miss it now sinc i cam to US...missing Mumbai ... :(

  • Ha ha haaa...if u can ride on Mumbai train...then u can ride on any train in the world.....Hihi hiiiii...i traveled such a way for 10 YRS.....Now in UK No RUSH Not Much Adventorous Enjoyment....."missing MUMBAI".....

  • Glad you enjoyed.. I love that town, every thing about it. especially those trains

  • Hahaha......I have traveled like that for 10 years......right from the age of 12!!....I used to travel everyday from dahisar to kharghar everyday(for my engg)......during peak hours.........but I miss it now!!

  • I love that train ride, the average westerner has no idea and dont know how to have a true cultural experience.. cheers Ray

  • Yes ray the average westerner has no idea, as people from The Gold Coast in Queensland.

Thinks travelling on the trains to and from The Gold Coast is the same as travelling on trains in Bombay especially in number of people on the trains.

  • Ignorance is bliss! One thing though that bloody P.A .that keeps yelling "You are on a Gold coast train!" drives me crazy.. I prefer the Mumbai express anyday! Cheers Ray

  • You are welcome ray, but I prefer the recorded PA on The Gold Coast trains then the PA on Sydney Train.

  • such a great video! im going there in two weeks. i don't know if i will ride the train during peak hours though. i'd probably die!

  • hahhahaa...... thats nice,.. i have experienced it too... ..its adventerous...!!..... ppl are nice mostly..!

  • mumbai is the place to be Go Mumbai!!!!

  • Thats the Crowd in Mumbai.

  • Best crowds in the world!

  • haha! nice video, you both look pretty strong for that routine ;)

  • Glad you enjoyed... we trained for it!!!!

  • yep, the video is very well shot.

  • nice video....looks like that was quite an experience for youll

  • It was brilliant, and we have done many many times since... its so much fun!

  • it doesn't look fun for me! :D

  • haha thats MUMBAI ...once you get used to that fast paced life there is no turning back

  • lol the indians are like...what the heck are these white dudes doing

  • It is a sea of humanity in the carriages of the Andheri express.

  • I remember what it's like!

  • what a ride! Check out "SAHARA BOOGIE" & "MASSAGE PARLOUR MANILA"

  • But do they run on time?

  • on time, full of grime, no crime.... actually they are the best people to get crowded with... lots of fun! More to come.. check out "SAHARA BOOGIE" & "MASSAGE PARLOUR MANILA"
