  • That's actually a lie. There is no warrant required. "Properly authorized" means "if this bill passes." Also, it's not leaving a door open, it's collecting a dossier on the users of the ISP. Also, it's not just ISPs, but any public network or communication provider except bank machines. See for yourself. Bill C-30, openparliament.ca

  • He must think people are stupid. The police can get a warrant to investigate someone's internet activity now. If that's all this bill is for, then why is it necessary at all? It already works that way, why would you need to pass new legislation to be able to do something you can already do?

The truth is that that isn't what this bill is about. It's about any "authority" being able to spy on anyone's internet activities WITHOUT a warrant. And that's not right. The people will not let that happen.

  • Basically he wants to make the Internet like a lawful state. Despicable.

  • Scrap the whole fucking thing, dumbass. We know who you are now, the real you. Zero respect.

  • Vic Cheney

  • Vic Toews is too old to understand how important the internet is to most of us.

  • So is he saying they would still need a warrant?

  • @erocicTheGreat That's what he seems to think, (or thinks we're stupid enough to believe) but that's not what this bill is about. It's about any "authority" being able to spy on anyone's internet activities without a warrant.

  • Harpocrisy, Canadians are finally finding out why real progressives have warned them about giving the Harpercrites a majority. Find and sign petitions in favour of "Proportional Representation" in Canada so that all Canadians may have a representative voice at the Federal table. Won't be a majority of Harpercrites in Parliament playing Harpertics as usual with people's lives then, yes? Harper's entire Cabinet is suspect; wonder if they've been 'chipped' with the heinous Harpertic code?

  • "It's a series of tubes" oh I see, now I understand.

  • wait , what did i just learn from this video?.....

  • @iamLI3 No. Everything he said is BS.

  • @autumnsylver umm that's not the proper way to word the response but ok that at least clears up why i didn't follow what he was talking about......

  • @iamLI3 I misread your previous comment. I thought you said "Did I just learn from this video?"

  • Imagine a World where Mr Vic Toews decides he doesn't like some-one and directs a Police Official to invade and destroy some-ones life based upon information which is False and Inaccurate. Yes Charlie Brown there are Sick People in Government too.

  • @TheSilverWatch Ya that's the thing it's so easy for hackers to use your computer to launch attacks and store information on. The majority of people have no clue about internet security. Then you get dragged through the mud of a legal battle. It doesn't matter whether you're innocent it's still brutal.

  • @TheSilverWatch Imagine a world without Mr Vic Toews.

  • @TheSilverWatch Not saying he should be dead or anything, just out of the limelight. Time to step down, SIR.

  • Imagine the world without any internet. Because that seems to be the conservative's dream.

  • @AtheistGlitch The conservative's dream is a world without dissent of any kind. They like the Internet. You can order a pizza online now!

  • I love how these people have no clue what they are talking about but if you mention child porn they are all for it. Someone could propose an internet kill switch and these people would buy it because the person representing it said "it will stop child porn". Yeah child porn is bad but these people need to get informed.
