Fatalities are very rare with Lamotrigine ( Lamictal ). I think its about 1 in 3000. To push the risk down even further patients should start on a very low dose which is gradually increased every 2 weeks. If you do develop a rash or feel unwell on the drug then stop taking it and go to hospital. Problems usually occur at start of treatment hence the need for low dose

Liked your Vid. I prescribe Lamotrigine a lot. Only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Works esp. well for the lows. But the highs are just as serious. When manic patients often behave in a way that puts their safety at risk. They may overspend or damage relationships. Good luck with new drug

i'm on lamictal. the rash occurs in like one in 300 cases, and you only die if you ignore it for a year or so.

i know this isn't meant to be taken seriously, but i just want to get the facts straight.

oh furthermore, lamictal works better on people who get more of the depression of bipolar disorder, whereas this lady seems to be more manic.
