@Emurlyjayne its just a feature within the inteli-studio software. if you open that program, there is a button at the top that says edit. i had to save a bunch on another video that i made (it should have taken 1/2 hour but took 3). good luck, hope you find it!
@brunoj1 no, unfortunately, it doesnt have a function like that... it doesnt work as a webcam either. I am able to use my tv as an output (w/ simple hd audio/video hookups while recording, but nothing through the pc. does this answer your question?

gaaaah i just got this today , what do you use to edit?
cause i find the editing software that comes with the camera kinda dissapointinggg.
