  • Doing nothing is better than being busy doing nothing

  • so basically it is impossible to feel true love ? we are just driven by that sense of incompleteness or void inside as we are separate from the all infinite and one source...

im 18, and i dont wanna become a nun...how will i find someone now that i know how relationships work?

  • @Gabitachikita

Love isn't what you think it is. Real love doesn't come from a place of need or a desire for fulfillment. When you are already whole, and fulfilled, you don't need it. If it comes, it's simply an extra. "Falling in love" is a childish delusion, a fantasy of the egoic mind. It's never genuine. It's just an attachment.

So, no... you'll never fall in love. Well... you might, but it won't ever be real. :-)

  • What an odd couple. He was like a champion thoroughbred racehorse, and she looked like someone who'd prefer a tame little shetland pony.

  • gee ... it's too bad he married a refrigerator.

Well, I hope she at least gives him good food.

  • in time I learned to learn from every spiritual teacher, human..and not to compare thing..enormous wisdom comes with this and relief

  • Sir , You are saying what Krishnamurti said in Simple Words

  • @professionalkarthi it's not a competition. many spiritual teachers have taught the same message

  • enormous pain is rite.

  • people need to be whole and complete BEFORE the enter a relationship love without this self completion on both sides is doomed to fail in my opinion.

  • @AxelTiger It's quite difficult to put into practice. As long as we are inhabiting a physical body in a physical world, not getting attached to others and having expectations feels like resistance... Neurological circuits rule our expectations to a certain extend...If one is whole before entering a relation, why would one need a relationship anyways? I am not saying that one should be 100% dependent, but I cannot comprehend how one can be 100% independent of the others. Please, help me understand

  • @AxelTiger

But to be whole and complete can take a whole life.

  • the one i thought would be my life partner has just left me

thank you this brought me back

  • The Bible mentions that animals were put on this Earth for mankind. Here's what that means to me.

Animals are vulnerable and weaker than people. We must take care of them. Serving their needs serves ours.

Our angel souls are designed to serve just as race horses are born to race. Our souls thrive when we serve those who are more vulnerable than us.

God serves us in that way. He takes care of us.

As children learn to parent by playing with dolls, our souls learn Godliness by caring for animals.

  • @eastariel are you vegetarian???

  • what if you are in a relationship that. You love the person but you feel like you are not in love with the person as in you both have different views upon things as in she gets upset with some actions that you feel as if are not problems. such as spiritual practices?

  • Thank you for sharing

  • thank god for eckhart , youve helped me so so much , love you .......

  • /watch?v=f9wF4za-YvM

Eckhart Tolle is Satan manifested in the Flesh.

I am putting more videos up. Please beware of this Entity.

  • @Yaylin2 what ever!!!!! have a good look at yourself mr judge mental......

  • My friend sent me this quote: ‎"We are all alone, born alone, die alone, and -- in spite of True Romance magazines -- we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness." - HST

  • many people make the mistake of believing another person will make them happy/whole.

  • so love doesn't exist and you should avoid falling in love??.. thats terrible. It's better to experience the incredible highs of love and pay for it with terrible lows afterwards than to never fall in love and always feel neutral.

  • @hunter0hara first....accept that you are the love you are seeking....second....follow that through....keep going...and see if you want to share it.

  • @sd62t833 YES!

  • @hunter0hara That's not what he says. What he really is saying is that love exists EVERYWHERE and that people need to stop limiting themselves only to certain individuals. The thing you refer to as "falling in love", that is feeling "the incredible highs of love" and then living in misery after a big argument is comparable to that of a drug. It's nothing but addiction. Instead, feel the love in every human being you encounter and you will see how life radically starts root for you.

    Peace to you

  • I love this guy!! :) and..

Hey guys check this out I answer a couple questions on Relationships :) /watch?v=KmRjHuGoEeA

  • This world is a beautiful place, thank you eckhart!

  • Do wonder what he thinks on dualism any one got information or links to this?peace.

  • @Katharsis540 he'd probably say: dualisms/polarity/seperateness/variety are the nature of the world of forms. for people that are conscious of the formless (of being, oneness, god, etc.), it is simply something to be enjoyed. without that consciousness (when you think that the entire reality is like that, without any underlying oneness), it leads to fear, desperation etc. peace to you too. ^^

  • @nougatbits Hmmm your comment reminds me of Alan Watts but then again can we say war or this monetary bad science=part of oneness?Wouldn't this come across as war=peace in other words double speak? To adegree get this and get what you said with the first sentence, but then again kinda comes down couldn't we say how we see it what angle we take?Kinda feels and looks like a paradox but not lol hope this made sense cause infinite possibilites do exist peace.

  • @Katharsis540 I can quote Tolle again: oneness (he calls it 'the source' in that context) and variety/world of forms are two extremes of the universe. I'd definitely say that war belongs to the "world of forms"-pole while peace belongs to the "oneness"-pole, so it's not the same in Tolles terminology. By consciously visiting the oneness-pole more often, we'll hopefully succeed to bring more peace-quality to our diverse end of the universe. ^_^

  • @nougatbits Hmmm ok just to add randomly check out Stuart Chase book Tyrrany of Words talks about semantics in language,so back to the comment universe\s=part of the oneness right?Well if so and have got these 2 poles then we still with dualism?Or even still with paradoxes yet not in and out at the sametime expirencing itself subjectively but as a whole fractals? Peace

  • @Katharsis540 Thanks for the recommendation! To the duality thing: I guess you can call it paradox. Seemingly the universe is dualistic, but the only lasting reality is oneness because forms are like shadows of oneness that only exist temporarily. At this point we really have to beware of words: one could point at an object that casts shadows and say, "look, an object and shadows - this is duality!", but with the same right he could say "it's oneness, though I just see its shadows now". ^_^

  • Spiritual practices have appeal because through them we get more and more whole by awareness of the bliss of the Self. When one finds peace & contentmen within, the fear of separation dissipates. We are able to love for loves sake, like we live to breathe.

  • Thanks for all the love everyone

  • This guy is a genius! I HEART HIM! :)

  • @maxwellpassion

Yeah, he's such a genius that you can't figure out what the heck he's even saying!

He must be pretty smart if he can talk like that.

  • I need to hear that

  • is theres many fish at the ocean ?

  • Mr Tolle should watch this video himself. His relationship with his Canadian girlfriend is his escape from his own inner emptiness and misery. He is not in the hatred stage yet, but he will be. Stop teaching, Eckhart, and start looking at yourself.

  • @DoomedToLiveAndDie A football coaches doesnt need to play necessarily well football to be a good coach... so, he has the right to do the same mistakes as others while knowing he is doing them... this is called human...

  • Simplistic explanation for a thing we call lust.

  • Don´t relate. Don´t marry. You are complete.

  • a true gem in the spiritual dynasty - namaste

  • this man is the anti-christ guys, why cant anybody else see this? ASK THROUGH Kenesiology Muscle Testing.

  • @Yaylin2 what... ?

  • This guy puts me to sleep. Maybe I should use this to treat my insomnia.

  • wonderful :)...makes perfect sense....thank you Eckhart Tolle

  • Talkin Nonsence-LOL Dude you have alot to learn

  • 7:13 LOL!!!

  • fart at @2:30 ??

  • This is brilliant

  • I just found out what really really is after trial and error over my years. I'm glad that true love is being discussed and the fake kind is being is being rcognized because so many people fall into it!!!

  • Sounds like e.t. is suggesting that happiness is the decider of whether a relationship is valid or not. what about the formation of pair bonds which is natural in quite a few species of animal? how does he relate pair bonds?

  • I need to see Eckhart videos more often, and find people who are into creating a "New Earth"

  • You just have to keep in mind that your opinions are derived from your own experiences. Everyone and every situation is different and unique!

  • I ADORE him...

  • watch this vids when your high and its 100% understanding. well atleast for me

  • @Anjreew - Why would people listen to someone who does drugs and can't spell?

  • @BayviewFinch I apologize for the spelling error. And its not like i do hard drugs, i just smoke marijuana every once and a while. If you didnt know, the high from marijuana is almost like meditation. It makes it very easy to understand what he is communicating. Is that wrong? Do you know what its like to be high?

  • @Anjreew - I've smoked pot before. It can get you into a certain state. But a "state" is something that is temporary and can be watched, and is therefore not one's true nature. Meditation is about being beyond states, by being aware of ANY state that arises at any time, not just the relaxed marijuana state (or a paranoid or other state induced by drugs). If you're worried about "understanding" Tolle, then you've missed the point. Watch that in you which desires to "understand."

  • @BayviewFinch Then what is the word i should use to describe my understanding of what he is trying to communicate? Im pretty sure i have grasped the point.

By the way, marijuana dosn't just get you relaxed. It amplifies the feelings you would originally have. If you are relaxed, that feeling is amplified. If you were to be self-conscious, that feeling would be amplified when high. Its not just relaxation or paranoia, its pretty much every emotion.

  • @Anjreew - Right. So mary jane amplifies what is NOT you. It amplifies what is observed. It makes you more block-headed because instead of observing the subtleties in your body, you're now on training wheels to observe an amplification. Probably better to stick with the subtleties that you naturally observe, then only when one day you find yourself high, observe that. Tolle's not about understanding, but about BEING, just as he writes in the first few pages of TPON.

  • @BayviewFinch How are your emotions and feelings not you? If its about being, then what im getting out of this is just a lot of self-consciousness.

  • @Anjreew - Emotions and feelings are things that pass through you. How could they be a part of you when they're only temporary? There is no emotion that's going to stay with you forever. Just like ET explains, we watch our feelings, emotions, thoughts, anything, so that we can just BE who we are. We disidentify with all that stuff to get to what's real. That's real meditation, not just some state.

  • @BayviewFinch Meh, i disagree. Life is temporary. Everything you experience makes up who you are. We dont watch our thoughts, we are our thoughts. A temporary state judges who you will be in the future. So, "you" is always changing, every single second. They dont pass through you, they change you, but its hard for yourself to notice it because, well, you have changed.

And If you are not your thoughts/feelings/emotions, then 'you' are everything in the universe. meow

  • @Anjreew - Yeah, but ET's not talking about opinions or beliefs. He's talking about getting beyond that. You disagree with what? A belief I have? So what? Tolle is hardly about establishing certain beliefs. That would be religion. He's about going beyond what you believe is right or how life works. It doesn't matter. I'm sure you've seen that even your own beliefs change over time. Just the fact that you can hold one belief, and me another, means that beliefs don't define our true

  • @BayviewFinch spirituality is an illusion. -__- I agree with some of the messages ET has, but something is definitely wrong.

  • @Anjreew - Who is that "I" that agrees and disagrees? Who is the "I' that sees something as right or wrong? Just something you can watch. Not the real "I". You're not who you think you are.

  • @BayviewFinch My past beliefs and understandings judge what I agree and disagree with. They change as i prove and disprove them. I use the word "I" because it helps communicate my beliefs...wtf?

I do believe the sense of self is an illusion though. Why arnt you defining anything, your hardly making a point.

  • @Anjreew - If you want to be stuck in that small sense of "I", then go ahead. However, you're here posting on a video by Eckhart Tolle, which presumably means that you have some interest in who you really are, not just beliefs, judgments, understandings, etc. Since when did I say that you can't use the word "I'? That's not what I'm saying. What am I supposed to define for you? Who said it's my job to define anything for you?

  • @BayviewFinch When i use the word "I", i guess i refer to my ego, and you dont.. right?

  • @Anjreew - I'm pretty sure we use "I" in the same way. Are you trying to insinuate that I think you're more egotistical than I am? You and me are the exact same thing at our truest essence, which is pure awareness.

  • @BayviewFinch No i dont think that.

  • @Anjreew - Again, who's talking about thinking? The whole thing about Tolle is he points, as do some Buddhist traditions, to the observer, not the thinker. As he says, it doesn't matter what you, I, or him think. That's just the mind. You could totally disagree with Tolle, but that doesn't change anything regarding the observer. The observer just observes different opinions. Have you read The Power of Now? Have you done meditation like Vipassana meditation, or Tolle's guided meditations?

  • @BayviewFinch i think i get it

  • @BayviewFinch but it would be wrong to say i think i get it, but i see what your saying.

  • @Anjreew - Cool. We can disagree or agree, but it doesn't make a difference to who we are.

  • @BayviewFinch agreed

  • @BayviewFinch I find Eckhart is speaking from the same Self Ramana Maharishi is.

  • @BayviewFinch I find Eckhart is speaking from the same Self that Ramana Maharishi is. Your own self ;-)

  • @Anjreew - our true selves. How can a belief define you if it is temporary and doesn't apply to all people? It's just something that's stuck with you for awhile. Whatever "changing you" there seems to be - Who's the "you"? Is it a summation of all your experiences, all your changes? No. The past is just a figment of your imagination. And anything you can define about yourself now is time-based, time being an illusion.

  • @BayviewFinch Its not a belief if its a fact.

  • @Anjreew - What's a fact? Just something that's not going to exist one day. The earth is round. I take this as a fact. But the Earth won't exist one day. There's also the point of view that everything we perceive wouldn't exist without the perceiver. As far as I know, this entire world may disappear when I die to it. So what about facts? What do they have to do with experiencing your truest self? What fact are you referring to anyway? Whatever it is, it still doesn't matter.

  • @BayviewFinch Sorry i didnt mean fact, i mean laws of the universe.

Ok try to explain to me what you mean by "your truest self". Shouldnt your truest self just be what you perceive as yourself... its all relative.

Btw you missed my other post..

  • @Anjreew - What I meant be "your truest self" is the awareness behind everything. Eckhart Tolle calls it "Being." How can what you perceive as yourself be yourself? What could you possibly perceive that could be who you are? I see my hands, but they change every day, and one day they won't even exist. Same goes for thoughts, emotions, personality traits, feelings, anything. Again, this goes back to anything that you can perceive is outside of you.

  • I think I take love much too serious! :)

  • @1kolesar I know EXACTLY what you mean! I've just entered a new relationship with a wonderful woman, and I almost panic, when she doesn't return my texts or phone calls! :D It's completely ridiculous, and I'm completely consumed by my ego at those moments...! Not a nice feeling :)

  • @Hilallamaa yeah, I know the feeling :S I hope we˙ve learned something from Eckhart :)

  • is Eckhart married?

  • Chat with Asian women lushfmlk.info

  • Whats love but a second hand emotion

  • TRUST IN JESUS AND BE SAVED! CALL UPON JESUS AND BELIEVE ON HIM!

  • @JesusPaid4You you are a Jesus spam bot, hardly helping people with your clutter.

  • Love is: Seeing/sensing the "oneness" in a world of duality.

    Nate Anderton

  • It reminds me of me and my boyfriend's relationship, i feel like its on the Rocks. Though i make him happy, he doesnt me. I still love him, but I feel pain. This video has really made me open my eyes. I hope things will change. Thank you and I will be sure to buy your books. I need all the support I can get now!! Suffering from chest pains lately, from stress. I dont know what to do but you have inspired me <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • anybody elses insides going: "HOLY SHIT"? hahaha

  • @1111BLAKE1111 This is soooo funny ! I am so glad I have the wisdom to be single in this moment, it reminds me of the times when I feel people trying to take me over. My Buddhist buddies and I think we should marry for 7 days ,before it turns into anger and resentment.

  • @1111BLAKE1111

umm, yeah..you pretty much took the words outa my mouth....HOLY SHIT!....lol

This guy just made completely clear what total shit I have made of my life and how much time I have unnessacarily wasted up to this point!..lol

  • Imagine what those in a relationship in the audience thought about themselves after this session. The only solution Tolle suggest is to bypass the need of a partner. What would the long term consequence be for the world? I think using his philosophy to practice unconditional love would be better.

  • @Curiousonic I think most of them probably felt pretty good because this guy can snap people out of the bs patterns.

  • I'm madly in love with this man.

  • @PancakeBooty04 Actually you're madly in love with your kind, understanding and forgiving side. God bless you. ;)

  • A few years ago, I was going to ask the Universe for a million dollars, but then I thought, that I really need to improve my state of mind first. So I sent that intent out. The very next day, a friend came by and said, " maybe you can get something out of this book." He handed me "The Power of Now". I started reading it and thought, "This is exactly what I am looking for". I read more and more. Slowly applying Eckharts teachings. I have experienced real life improving results.

  • It is clear to me that nobody will ever be able to complete me, make me happy, etc. I also know from direct experience that inner happiness, the feeling of inner contentment, and other sublime feelings are naturally there when I am willing to be free from negaive thoughts and emotions. However, I am often wondering "Will I no longer desire to be in relationship once I am totally free from the need of being in one?"

    Dr Claude WIndenberger

  • @drclaudetv I doubt it doc. There's still the being half of one; being a single woman or man. Biologically. But I do believe the permanent feeling of lack without the (/an)other is unnatural, a ghost from thinking patterns.

  • i just dont get him! he is so dry to listen to as well

  • @endlessummer79 Yeah I definitely could understand why it would seem dry if you aren't somewhat spiritual at heart.

  • Now thats where you are very very wrong, I am more a marathon runner than a couch POTato these days, i have experience and needed a guy like this to help me handle the aftermath, the drugs don't work, it may take longer but the natural way to a higher state of consciousness is for sure the better trip.

  • And whatever.ALL LOVE DOES TOO HAVE AN OPPOSITE.All love can turn into hate.If someone mistreats you for a period of time, you can grow to hate them. And that doesn't mean you never loved them.It just means they turned on you,and now you can no longer feel the love you once had.

  • @sayurirain1 Love is the recognition of oneness between you and someone else. It is the recognition that you are both one and the same. Because love is one, there is no opposite. However, the bridge between people can break and once again you feel alone and separate. The feel for a "need" for someone to "complete" you is not love but a desperate attempt to find meaning and happiness in a world where everything is fleeting/changing. Love is not apathy either. Apathy is the ignorance of someone.

  • @sayurirain1 Amen to that, I am in that situation now in my relationship :'(

  • I don't think it's perceived unconconciously.I am very aware that I feel like a particular person would complete me,and make me happy. And if I had that person,I can promise you I'd be right.

  • Comment removed

  • Love is need.I don't care what this guy says,he's wrong.I don't know anyone that wants to be a take it or leave it deal.If you get the sense someone is completely fine without you, they do not love you, they are apathetic towards you.Apathy is not love. And it never will be love.

  • @sayurirain1 Well that is how I feel how my boyfriend treats me, i think he would be just fine without me. Though he tells me with his words he wont be, but his action speak louder to me so therefore causing me pain. And I try to talk to him about and sure it'll be ok for maybe a few minutes to a few days depending and then he goes right back to his old ways. Its killing me, but I dont know what to do. I still love him and always will. Just that it is very difficult for when its all "One sided".

  • My sister want to marry someone **rockmycity.info**

  • thanks,very good!

  • he should just be saying love yourself first then you wont need to fill your ego with the other persons lack of traits u think r there which are but an illusion....

  • We can simplify this and call it was it is:::::::: Building a Family which changes your life. Love in the first place is about giving not taking. Ego has nothing to do with unconditional love. When you have a child and he or she is not what you expected do you ditch it too? Sorry, I am rather new to the selfishness of this new earth concept.

  • Thank you Eckhart for all your inspiartion. My heart and soul is changing. Im so thankful. I always have your book near me. It always saves me. T

  • @borncrazy123 : I feel / do the same...

  • yo he's like Yoda

  • In personal relationships we attract specific people who help us work out our karmic debt. Pay close attention to the issues with that person- those are exact lessons you have to learn otherwise same situation/relationship will keep on repeating..unless you learn that karmic lesson. Some lessons are very hard, yes. One has to be clear on what he has to work on-then forgive, let it go and move on.

  • Halfway through his book...

it's profound but scary in a way...

  • @oratrickety eventually you'll realised thats just because of what you associated with it. but its all good and its all god :)

  • JESUS answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. John 14:6,7.

  • @glorialuzos123 what does that mean? literally and explicitly what does that mean? i don't seem to understand. tell me please, enlighten me, what do these words mean (to you)?

  • @nicool722 Nevermind about @glorialuzos123

    DON'T FEED THE TROLL

  • @glorialuzos123 Why is it so hard for people to see this? Also many associate the bible with the church solely. Maybe they've had a bad experience with the church or understanding that life on this (good/evil) Earth was never meant to be a a Utopia. Many think that if they pray automatically things will go their way. Prayers do get answered & I know people feel like they are not in control of their own lives/destiny. Many who don't have faith flock toward mortals, gurus who preach for cash

  • So if everyone is "unconscious", spiritually as Eckhart puts it, how can you be enlightened and still have a romantic relationship. Does there not need to be pain their in the first to attract the other person. I.e if you are 100% happy with yourself as Eckhart is, where does the motivation to attract a partner come from?

  • @reprobateDB it comes from common interests.. sharing things we both love together, but there is no attachement or much less attachement, you don't need the other person to love in some way, to be with you, to be responsibble for you, it is more free relationship, no contracts should's or shouldnt's, no bargaining.. just enjoy free time aned love together..

but it is not actually romantic relationship as we know it, it's completely different relationship..extremely rare :D

  • God is love. Jesus is Love, find Jesus, then you find ultimate love, love givin from him that fills you so much that you are able to give to others.... Please watch some of Joyce Meyers preachings here on youtube, search: "Joyce Meyer" and watch and be blessed. God bless all.

  • @benjamin100000 I think youll find that the conditions required for fullfilment are found inside you, not in another being

  • Love is simply in one word. What ever you do for the toher Person is in the giving. GIVING" Sadly too many think it is about receiving. What is to get from the other person. it be in financial security, Status, fame and the list goes on. These are People who only kid themself's

  • what a beautiful happy man, i hope i get to meet you one day, I havent quite grasp all concepts, but i hope to one day, what i know so far, is priceless! I understand you mor than any other spiritual teacher, god bless you..

  • He speaks Truth!! ...... plain and simple, and you cant do anything but accept it for what it is.

  • go for a drink with bbw naneedj.info

  • great

  • He doesnt say anything new, sorry guys. want to get the right stuff? read the bible, tehn you dont fall in a pit.

  • @benjamin100000 of course he is not saying anything new because there is nothing new. As far as the Bible goes, there are lots of people who fall in a pit - a lot of violent evangelists for example, full of negativity and jugment and condemnation - the opposite of the teachings of Jesus.

  • @benjamin100000 Nothing to do with the Bible. You must feel threatened..

  • @benjamin100000 The info in the bible can be interperated in many ways, thats why there are so many denominations.... One of the ways it can be interperted perfectly lines up with the ideas of ekart tolle and people of the same ilk. Ive personaly found alot more peace and presence by coming to realise that on a fundamental level of experience I am peace and presence.. That which you would refer to as jesus. Jus sayin

  • @Titan5Omega Sorry.. You are not Jesus, cause thats what you are saying. and you would be more in peace by reading the bible for its truth. rest gives you anything else but peace and rest,. Jesus is Jesus, not a metafor.

  • @benjamin100000 No wat im saying is that Jesus doesnt exist, And that everything we need to be complete and whole is already inside of us.

  • @Titan5Omega

well... Jwhat you are sing is wrong, so many fall in a pit, but only finds their way out with the help of calling his name, so that proof enough he exist through the holy spirit, thats just a call away, you should try it, it works. Just say Jesus I believe you are my personal savior and i trust my life into your hands i believe in you, and you will se and feel and your life will transforme (if you really believe) if problem believing, you will have to pray for help to believe also

  • @Titan5Omega
