C'mon, this game is just plain fun, it's actually fucking awesome. It sure isn't scary or anything, but it does have the atmosphere of a survival action game. If you want horror go play Silent Hill or something. Capcom is into this, they want to make a new type of RE games and in my opinion they went exactly in the right direction.

I found myself playing this game over and over, i've beaten it like 3 times and i'm still looking foward to beat it in Professional. I really can't get why people don't like this game or the change. I don't mind it because guys, there are a SHIT TON of the original RE styles that most of you even overlooked. There is even RE survivor, Gaiden, Dead Aim, Zero, Outbreak, ect. i think capcom should go back to basics, make it more about surviving ZOMBIES rather than about military operations killing god knows what these things are. the whole slow, flesheating zombie suspense was so much more thrilling to me. resident evil 3 was perfect, moments of quiet where you could hear the chilling moans of zombies miles away through the night air and get a chill down your spine.. You know, they have a beta version that was never truly released to the public. It has Chris ALONE but there are twice as many zombies. However, after getting out of grabs and such, you can retaliate and there are also reaction commands for normal attacks. But because of the whole "racist" remarks made by people, it was never released. In fact, it could have been very well harder, more intense, scarier, and more hated that the actual product. It really depends on who is judging it...

The game was pretty good. It felt a little out dated due to the gameplay being almost similar to the 2005 Resident Evil 4 on the last-gen games but however overall the game was decent. I can see myself playing this for the next few years. I thought Sheva was a GREAT partner and one of the most memorable characters in the entire RE franchise. At times I wish the game was longer, but overall I'm satisfied with what i got.
