  • 69'th Million Viewer, Hot Damn ! Kiss My Cousin!

  • This man knew the secret to the universe. Lord!!! Lord Lord Lord!! That is some of the dankest most epic blues I have ever been lucky enough to stumble across. Booker just went from 0 to absolute hero.

  • Your right Choughzev can't touch this he is a Legend.

  • Hmmmmmm...so Hugh Laurie titles his CD "Ain't Nobody's Business"...

  • The Chills Is how it feels Baby' OOhhh'

  • jaw dropping

  • think this dude might just be the danny gatton of piano players. talented beyond all human comprehension and total unknown! pity! dude's amazing!

  • @jteshuwah he´s not unknown, just by those who dont care about NO RnB

  • @strongf - You are right in that James Booker is not completely unknown, but I believe what “jteshuwah” meant to say was that James is unknown to the general public. Instead of this video getting just over 4 thousand viewings it should be over 4 million.

  • @richkroberts Yeah I know what ya'll mean. What I meant though was that people should stop saying that he or she are unknown or stop saying that jazz/RnB is dead and so forth. Theres a lot of talented artists out there today and passing on this great tradition and evolving the whole style. Theres tons of James Bookers out there right now, and its a shame that people dont look for 'em. Kinda what happened to James Booker in his time and why theres only 4 thousand views...

  • @strongf Yes, lots of great musicians are out there getting ignored while the pop culture people get all the attention, but I don't think there's tons of James Bookers out there right now. That's like saying there's tons of Babe Ruths and Willie Mays. Booker was one of the real guys - it belongs to him - today's people can borrow his vibe, but when they're done using it, they gotta give it back! Plus, when you listen to it, you realize no one may ever be able to capture it.

  • @Choughzev nicely put. there are clips on here of people who have obviously got booker transcriptions and just practiced the shit out of them. the technique might be there, but the spark isnt. booker was one in a million. for my money the greatest piano player that ever hit a blue note.

  • Perfect, I wished I could play and sing like this

  • RIP, sweet James.
