  • "slob" LOL ok he's george Harrison it's called being a hippie dumb shit he was a Beatle for Gods sake!! Ok I'm usually A nice person but I get VERY defensive about the Beatles.

  • Ugh captain whatever the fuck your name is fuck you you obviously don't know what the fuck you're talking about George obviously took baths that's just his appearance dumb shit stop making up lies and acting like you know shit because obviously you don't ok Ravi and George were good friends why would Ravi grab Georges hand if he was so "dirty"???? You don't make any sense ok lol bye and how would you know that george smelled rancid? Is it a fact is it documented? No. Cause it's not true

  • You can tell Ravi Shankar is totally disgusted in this film. George simply never took baths. Look at his appearance, he looks like he's been living in a sewer. What a slob.

  • @CaptainSpauIding shut up

    george took showers

  • @mrfailford no he didn not. He smelled rancid. Now you can shut up and quit your ballin.

  • @CaptainSpauIding no he didnt. he just wus trying to look like a hippie. i love ravi, and i know that he wouldnt have been disgusted at george and george didnt smell rancid

  • @mrfailford When George went to meet at the then president Ford the secret service made him take a bath because he smelled like a toilet.

  • @CaptainSpauIding not true so shut up.

  • @mrfailford is true, you shut up. Look at the guy, you can see he never took a bath, stupid.

  • George inspires me

    What a man

  • i want a sitar

  • ravi shankar amazing musician the sitar amazing insturment goerge harrision amazing guy

  • May I Ask how 7 people dislike this?

  • these two are great, shining lights of positivity for our own time

  • i dont why, tears come to my eyes.

  • SatCitAnanda to Your beautiful soul George!

  • haha beautiful video, brought a smile to my face. The only way to stay young is to act young!

    Namaste.

  • We want the whole interview!

  • Pfft! George and his goofy "spiritual" act. The guy SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. How "spiritual" can he be?

  • @FrlghtWolf you got a point, smoke was the most stupid thing george did

  • 91' YEARS FUCKI'N OLD -SHANKAR: GO GO GO GO WEED WEED GO GO GO BRAVOOO

  • @coyalino GO WEED? Ravi is straight, George was more of a druggy but Ravi was cool. I met Ravi a few times and he was a regular kind of guy, just really an artist. George was a space cadet though. With his drug induced spiritual mumbo jumbo. But Ravi deserves utmost respect. You really shouldn't be a low life and use the F word so casually. It shows you lack respect and class.

  • @koletski21 what can i say:"HAT OFF" - BIG RESPECT FOR RAVI-

FOR GEORGE,,,, I KNOW WHAT KINDE OFF DRUGS HE USE .......

  • @koletski21 That "spiritual mumbo jumbo" is Hinduism. You should respect that

  • @TylerIsI Folks got it in their mind that because they don't REALLY know what the right or true religion is that your guess is as good as mind. Or your opinion is no better than mine kind of thing. But if you only really knew what I do, you wouldn't request me to respect those fair tales. So judging where you are coming from by your statement you don't know so I'll excuse you.

  • good news!... Ravi Shankar's running for 2012 US presidential elections!

joking... :( that'd be great though...to have him , that man is just something beyond human. not that he knows how to play a Sitar, but his mindset, his spirit, his wisdom and I'd like to say, basically everything about him glows

  • I LOVE U GEORGE!! RIP!!! -3 and Ravi is cool too :)

  • GH: "It's just our bodies that are old... inside we're like... six years old"

    Beautiful!

    Thanks for posting this!

  • TWO INCREDIBLE MASTERS

  • Its funny seeing them old. I love them, their personalities are so cute.

  • These two look like a Bohemian Rhapsody!

  • George Harrison and John Lenonn were the best 2 Beatles, the most culturally respected and caring! I respect the Beatles so much for touring in India and crackin open the Indian influence to the Western world, the Beatles were the first group to do that, noone else had ever done it! I'm British Indian and proud! Beatles = Love!

  • @scyllaandcharybdis

George is my favorite but lets be honest although the four of them make up the Beatles John and Paul were the most important to the group.

  • Indian Jimmy Page.

  • @predatorinstincts

Actually Jimmy Page had met Ravi Shankar before George Harrison did, he asked him after one of his performances how to tune a sitar.

  • you can just feel the love

  • very very interesting and humanitarian. Ravi is still alive 90 years old!

  • Is sad to go through life without any belief. You know, the things that goose-bump you. What a misery if you give up that.

  • Profit or Prophet! Namaste'

  • now lets get out of this argument and enjoy their music and enjoy their interview

  • thats such an pointless argument you guys are having but i will agree on some things yes truth and evidence works out and some human beings can be good on lying but George to me i say he got the whole spirit world from his Hindu experiences and it could be him saying that to a world of peace as for faith well that word doesnt really mean shit man im sorry but it just doesnt show

  • @NWOWCW4Life1 What if he had said Elvis is still alive? Would you give him a pass then? People should have to pay a conversational price when they say silly things.

  • @MrDarkbloom i wouldnt but just because he doesnt have evidence or some shit like that doesnt mean you have to rant at him but who knows what if Elvis was still alive and fooled everyone even the press anything is possible my friend but you go your way and i and everyone else go our way so that will conclude this conversation im not gonna argue with you on shit cause it would not settle anything my friend

  • George was a great musician, BUT ... comments like "we're just spirits in bodies" show that he was sometimes pretty delusional.

  • @MrDarkbloom You are a great person. But comments like the one you just made shows that sometimes you are pretty ignorant. But that's all right. We all are. :)

  • @whoddaya Ignorant?! Of what? The spirit world?? hehe There's no good reason to believe in such things... there's no good evidence. George had no idea what he was talking about. It's pure religious ignorance about how the world actually works. I wish just one of the interviewers i've seen with him would have asked him how he could know such stuff. He just pulled it out his arse like most religious people do. I'm not the one who accepts truth claims on insufficient evidence here... he is!

  • @MrDarkbloom But some things just can't be proved. Initially, yes, "ignorance of the spirit world" was where I was headed. But now I guess I can also say "ignorance of things that can't be proved," mm? :)

  • @whoddaya How do you know which things can't be proved? If they haven't been demonstrated to be true, you or Mr Harrison or anybody has no right to claim these things are true. When you say I have 'ignorance of things that can't be proved' you are not making any sense. You simply do not know what you are talking about. You have no more right to say human beings have a spirit than you have to say south is north. Truth and evidence ,matter to me, that's why I don't tolerate people lying.

  • @MrDarkbloom - Mr. George Harrison only expressed his own view and inner feelings. On it he has the right to do. Besides, when our country in the autumn visited Raymond Moody with his lecture on the near-death experiences, he also said, that the afterlife and the spiritual world can not be definitively proved, therefore, because science does not yet have the appropriate methodology. This is the major current problem.

  • @denny1113 Yes, exactly. No claims of supernaturalism have been demonstrated to be true. That is my point. So if you claim something is true and it hasn't been shown to be true... you should be pulled up on this in polite society.

  • @MrDarkbloom - Perhaps it would be fairest to say .... simply, we do not know....but personally I tend to do one or another point of view....

  • @MrDarkbloom It's sad you cannot make sense of what I said. Truth and evidence matter to you, or do you mean to say truth that is evidence-based matters to you -- or that what is evidence is the only truth? To many human beings, truth is not always evidence-based, and they do not tolerate those who revel in evidence as absolute truth.

You have quite blatantly (perhaps in frustration) labelled me and George as "liars." Ad hominem? :) Doesn't matter.

  • @whoddaya I you make claims about supernaturalism, what's wrong with me saying you have no good reason to say that... apart from superstition and ignorance of what we know through HONEST enquiry and observation about the universe? We lie to ourselves all the time, because we claim to know something to be be true when it's clear we do NOT know whether it's true. I didn't say science holds absolute truth - we're simply not sure - but are you telling me FAITH is how we study reality????!!!!

  • @MrDarkbloom This comment just tells me that you fail to understand what faith is. And which gives me no wonder about your other comments. But you make another mistake - I never said faith is how we study reality; from where does that assumption stem? But I think I know where you are coming from. The precursor to "faith is how we study reality," (for you) must be that "only that for which evidence has been found is true." There are many more unearthed things for which evidence hasn't been found

  • @whodday Human beings are veyr god at lying to themselves and otherwise simply being mistaken about their experiences. It will not do just to take people someone's word for something. It HAS TO BE verified for us to understand fact from fiction. Don't you want your thoughts to map reality? If you do, FAITH should be a dirty word to you.

  • @MrDarkbloom There are many other things for which evidence cannot be found, yet we still accept them to be true, for instance - our love for someone, or even someone's love for someone. These abstract things (or feelings, shall I say) do not need to proven; they simply exist. Even if seen on a more concrete level, ask any scientist if there is anything material (any phenomena) which is simply true without evidence. You will never find a no. And then let's thing about this: (cont.)

  • @whoddaya I don't think you understand the word evidence. There's no evidence that we love each other??? What level of evidence do you require? At the brain level or social level. That's just silly. The point is that anything goes with 'faith'. You can say you spoke to God last night and whilst it may seem real to you, no one else is obliged to believe that's what really happened (as opposed to halucination etc) unless we can verify this scientifically. We can dismiss your claim with good reason

  • @MrDarkbloom The catch is "may _seem_ real to you." The non-believer would never know if it _seemed_ real or if it _was_ real. Religion inherently is something that is abstract, not something that you could - or anyone for that matter - on the material plane comprehend. In that you ask for evidence is the first sign that you do not understand "faith," as I previously mentioned.

  • @MrDarkbloom In case the person who may have spoken to God last night might not be a liar, you are not obliged, either, to call him one, for you simply do not know if it was real or not. But again, I think you would reiterate that (since you do not know if it was real or not), you need evidence, without which you won't accept the person's word. Which makes me think you think that speaking without evidence is a lie. And if that's the case, I think that concludes our conversation. :)

  • @whoddaya You just don't value evidence or truth. You value what makes you feel good. Good luck to you.

  • @MrDarkbl (cont.) about this: If scientists say that there are things for which no evidence has been found yet, and if religious people say that God (or supernatural things, as you call them {rightfully so}) exists without evidence, why do you accept the scientist over the religious? Because scientists have at least experienced the phenomena? Well, that's what faith is for! Scientist asks you for time until evidence, and religious people ask you for faith until you experience the phenomena.

  • @MrDarkbloom

Thousands of recently reported out of body experiences support the reality of "visions" described during OBE's in various "holy" texts.

Scientific study confirms the existence of energetic awareness in the non-physical areas of the universe.

Meditation is one way to self-initiate the OBE's currently most commonly experienced in children.

I suggest studying Siegel, Talbot, Capra, Buhlman et al. and look into the basis of the law of attraction. Only experience can confirm speculation.

  • @vv901vv901 No that's not science, that's bullshit. I'm not ruling out the possibilities, but I AM ruling out how you claim to know this stuff. It's fiction. If not, show me one credible scientific study that backs up this 'energetic awareness' nonsense.

  • @MrDarkbloom dont think so,we are really just it

  • Ravi Shankar was the only act who demanded pay for playing at woodstock.

  • Dammit George, I wish you were still alive. :/

  • , no need to bash someone because they make a statement they feel is right and harshly embarrass them, Peace my friends, I know I probally have facts wrong here but listen to everyones opinions and gain what you can from each one, even if just a little bit that is correct , everyone has something to contribute, love your fellow man and the world will be a better place, I'm Christian , bashing Hinduism is not Christian behavior, it may be typical catholic behavior , but a Christian accepts peopl

  • Both men were musical legends, one greater than the other but if Shankar captured Harrisons attention then he had to have something special, or maybe George was high, there is good opium in India , I know i would try it if I ever visited India , just wouldn't drink the water. I don't understand why people have to be so negative and condescending, if you leanred anything from the beatles who were way before I was born , John Lennon was all about peace and getting along, no need to bash someone b

  • 1:55 hahahaha, well lets get serious lol

  • nice post! George knows whats up....Hare Krishna brother :)

  • George is so cute in this. I love hearing him talk.

I agree and have always felt the same as he, that we are spirits within these bodies, people forget.

And it's our bodies that get old, not us inside. We may learn (hopefully) and get wiser, but we don't get old like our bodies.

George was one of the most coolest people and

    coolest musicians. ~Peace George~

  • Saw him perform last week in Dallas. It's amazing how a 90 year old can seamlessly weave music with his fingers over the sitar!!

  • when was the last time ravi shankar performed live?

  • i can feel the smell of curry inside of me...

  • Ravi Shankar is godly!

  • lol Ravi realy looks lie yoda :D

  • Ravi was better at sitar than jimi was at guitar

  • 'it's just our bodies that our old'. George was silent soul behind the beatles

  • George Harrison and Ravi Shanker you are both the legends and we miss you!!!thnx for the vid

  • @saddy941 ravi's still alive, he's like 90 but still around! :)

  • @lynottlives Sorry I am not so much informed about!!!

  • @lynottlives yeah he still performs lol

  • Mein lieber Gott, was versteckt sich hinter seinem Schnurrbart? Eine Hasenscharte? Rasiere doch, rasiere !

  • nutters.....

  • @gujjucheap

There more wise than you will ever be

  • sy=uch a gentle man George Harrison.dreadful end to a gentle beings life.

  • R.I.P. George Harrison, you are dearly missed.

  • I'll go along w/the "Bhagavad Gita," & the sacred writings that profess the Spirit to be ageless & eternal: Man is a useful passion; to kill an unborn child is a crime of Universal dimension. I find these doctrinal musings more appealing than the "Globaloneyism" parroted by eugenicists Bill Gates, Dawkins, Ted Turner, Jane Goodall, Jacques Cousteau, Kenyan Obama and many others, the proposition being that Man is less significant than snail darters, kangaroo rats and speckled owls.

  • Is it just me, or does Ravi Shankar look like Bill Cosby?

  • best beatle out of them all

  • proper job .. here krishna

  • It is wonderful to see these two great artists. My brother is a classical composer, said that a great way to teach is singing "humming" musical notes, as that way the student gets it better and faster way. Ravi one George a special teacher and student extrairdinario.

  • I LOVE George´s sense of humor, he is a very charming gentleman. Hare KRSNA.

  • Nice interview.

  • Happy Birthday George!

  • inside were like 6 years old xD

    oh George =)

  • If people like this ran the world we wouldnt be so messed up....

  • @carlguitar69 so, so right you are

  • @carlguitar69

But they do run the world, and millions alike have significant impact on the state of the planet as their vibratory rates highten.

With the forceful attempts to hold the evolution of human consciousness back by the most worrisome souls among us (abusers of drugs such as money and authority) comes an inevitable parallel evolution towards peace & understanding. Some things may look messed at first glance, but by the law of attraction; focus on their beauty and the beauty will expand.

  • @vv901vv901 Agreed. Its easier to hate than to love.....but its still a crystal planet and people with love in their hearts can overcome the negative vibrations pumped out by T.V.,phonemasts, and generally negative people. As Lenny Kravitz says...."Let Love Rule" x

  • @carlguitar69 Yeah!!!! Much better w/ George Bush.

  • @carlguitar69 Yeah bro very good view. I wish the world took it on board.

  • सितार है बेऔतिफुल

  • We need more people in this world like these to greats! Still so humble, simple, down to earth human beings. you guys are LEGENDS!

  • norah jones father O_O

  • These are two normal, humble men who loved each other dearly. (1.59)

  • Those people inspired me for a lot of things

  • @WhiningCripple51 What in the name of Krishna is wrong with you, man? Why all the hate on these Beatles videos?

  • What a fabulous interview... and George's last statment is just wonderful >:)

  • viva el quinto beatle!!

  • get to dah chuppah!!

  • Harrison embraced Indian music and instruments, and helped broaden the horizons of the other Beatles, as well as those of their Western audience!!!

Ravi Shankar is the best sitar teacher and legend!!

  • many of the so called indian instuments are actually afghan or persian instruments, go read history on hindustani music

  • Comment removed

  • people should care, these days persia or afghan are just nick named terrorist countries with no culture, much of what is north indian culture today stems from persia or afghanistan, the popular indian food people eat in the west is actually 90% afghan or persian food. Indians were nothing without afghanistan or persia

  • @annie19645 slightly dyslexic history there...

  • go read history of hindustani music < the word "hindustani" itself is persian, you know nothing of history

  • @annie19645 Dearest Annie, I'm not a musician, but the word Hindu is not even from India, it is a Muslim Geographical misnomer, slightly re-enhanced by the British conquest. Suggest you investigate the Veda's for complete perspective. Good Luck!

  • well that just shows how fake hindus are, everything there is from outside. a lot of thing credit to hindu civilization are actually from persian civilization.

  • @annie19645 Well hello again, I stand corrected, actually "Hindu" is not a "Sanskrit" word, my bad ( o:= You're not Persian by any chance?

  • el ravi es conocido como el quinto beatle
