@dkdan00 it isn't the right fender, and it fell down a lot, then i rigged it to stay up, but i didnt ever realize how dumb it actually looked untill u commented on it.
@garrettf5566 if you can give me an exact year on the KTM, and they are both up for $500$??----- get them BOTH COMPRESSION TESTED!!!!!!! that is what has fucked me over with engines that are old and new to me!!! BUT personally i'd go with the RM 80!! Cheaper and easy to get parts for!
@garrettf5566 get a newer 80CC or 85CC because my 80 is harder to get parts for than a newer ones! KTM's are expensive, but you get what you pay for out of the quality! Kawasaki's in my experiences are just faster and kick harder in power band! The newer you buy a bike the quieter some of them are, but if a bike has an aftermarket pipe they are way louder!! i'm currently riding an KX 250, and it is stupid fast! but if you dont have a lot of experience, get a smaller bike even if you are tall!
Fuck mate i loved me early RM they sound angry as.I bought mine off a chick that raced it,and it was keeping up with my stepdads F250 at over 110km(65mile) easy, still maxing its band. This is back in 83 mind you,ha ha
i got a 1987 i think it is rm 80 i bought off guy and when i start it up it wont idle it will rev wide open... but i can put it in gear and and ride it around but i gotta keep the brakes on because if i pull the clutch in it will rev wide open again? does anyone know why it would do this?
i like the bike i got one last summer its a 1997 rm 80 i only put new side plates and a new back tire on it and the back shocks are still bad but it is fast has hell my dad weights 250 lbs and it pulled a wheelie in 2 gear with him on it
@basscrazy230 yeea, these bikes are a lot of fun, but i plan on getting a RM 125 or 250 in the next couple of years, but this bike will be fine untill then.
@drummer2fear hey, i actually blew the piston apart!! that was about 2-4 weeks ago, but im getting prices on re-sleeving the jug because it had wicked symetrical grooves on one side, and im also getting new prices on a used jug, and i believe just for the new jug, it is almost $300, if you can give me any websites that would cost less, please!!, let me know!! thanks man. ill also put up a vid, when i get back to N.H., im in M.E. now!-that will be in 7 days or so
