  • Love the song, love the video! may he rest in peace. he's my idol.

  • Deacy!

  • i think at 5:22 you can see the pain that's in John

  • The song is so good it had to be recorded as a Queen song. Brian really impressed me with this song and Too much love will kill you

  • happy birthday freddie

  • This is the farewell song to Freddie. My one and only icon. "and life goes on, without you..."

  • Sad ... Very sad ...

  • The first time I heard this song, it stopped me in my tracks. Tis my 2nd favorite Brian May composition.

RIP, Fred, we still love you.

  • incredible...just incredible

  • I wonder what John did in this song lol. He's so damn chill. RIP Freddie

  • @rden94 He played BASS.

  • I absolutely Love this song <3 and with that being said i wish roger and brian would make an album, with songs like this in it. I think brian and roger are really great song writers but are not noticed because of asshole's like Justin bieber getting all the attention ... RIP FREDDIE XXXXX

  • I think the overall message is that almighty entity sitting up there in his pretty little clouds is always taking the good ones, and leaving the has beens and mimics down here to grace us with their lovely company -points to arse-

  • Brian I believe wrote this for Princess Diana [at the time], and of course Freddie.

  • Why didn'y God take Bieber instead? =(

  • Oh gosh! I'm gonna cry now! Everytime they said something, be it Brian or Roger, they sounded as if they were gonna break down and I hate it when people cry and it just makes me cry and......Maybe I should just shut up now!

  • Rest in peace Freddie, you deserve it. We all love you.

  • I didn't know of queen until my teen years, I love the group specially Freddy and can't not imagine Brian, John and Roger pain for Freddy lost. Is this song written specially for Freddy?

  • @efemed

Yes, Brian wrote it for him

  • I cried. Eventhough I wasn't born when Freddie Was alive I have beccome a huge Queen fan and I sometimes cry when I think of Freddie and how ill he looked before he died. Some people say that because John was really quiet and shy that he wouldn't be really that sad. But in this video he really looks as if he is about to cry, I have never seen anybody look as sad as he did in this video. RIP Freddie. You may be gone but you're music lives on.

  • Beautiful tribute to their friend and colleague. I agree with those who suggest that for the band, this camera concept was meant to represent Freddie's spirit still being among them. Love Roger's comments from 4:22 - 4:30 in which he suggests that if Freddie were watching all this, he'd probably say, "oh stop that! Don't be ridiculous!" LOL. You know, that's probably EXACTLY what Freddie would say! They knew him so well.

  • I'm not drinking champagne, but beer..But "cheers darlins anyways" :)

  • No One LIKE FREDDIE...ever...ever and ever

I love you Freddie, i miss you...

  • What a good tribute, but in the same time, it's a bit painful, the sorrow in John, and in Roger's voice... A bit hard because we totally imagined their feelings. I really miss Freddie and I really miss Queen (all together, not with Paul roger).

Well I just shut up because I'm gonna cry.... I think my day will be shitty ! Merde alors.

  • This makes me sad.

  • I dont usually cry, especially when it comes to songs, but i did, and I didnt even know Freddie, I was born in 1996, I only discovered Queen when i was 10 yrs old, but still, I cried. R.I.P. Freddie, The BEST died young.

  • I was crying at the end of the RIP freddie god of everything

  • i couldn't help crying when i saw Brian hugging John at the end

    such a moving song

for the greatest man to have been born

  • god that song makes me cry miss freddie a LOT 4ever in MY heart DARLING!

  • wow.... this is a really sad video and song, i mean is amazing but its really hard because it gets to my heart and i just cant believe that freddie passed away. and yes its also so hard to see how sad they are, john never speaks but he looks really down... pretty well done...and so sad too. LOVE YOU FREDDIE TILL THE END! GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.

  • bye bye freddy............:*( u were queen

  • If I we're the director of the video, I would give the guys a hug and say "I feel you're loss". . .=(

  • If you really loved Freddie, let his death have meaning and save others from the same grisly fate. Get the word out, people:

"JUST SAY NO TO ANAL SEX!"

  • @termsofusepolice

    wow, that is not funny

  • We miss You Freddie :)

  • go back john deacon

  • yeeeeeeees, GO BACK JOHN, YOU`RE THE BASS MAN !!

  • All three miss Freddie very much. You can see the pain in their faces. Even to this day. Brian recently said that he misses and thinks of Freddie everyday. So sad. RIP Freddie. You are truly missed.

  • Beautiful ... gut-wrenching ... love you Queen

  • Such a beautiful song. I get chills everytime with, "There's a face at the window. And I ain't ever saying goodbye."

  • when i saw the video for the first time i bawled

  • no one but him only the good die young

  • what a song!! <3 It always make me cry, regardless is beautiful!

grayining hair looks so beautiful on Roger :)

  • I always thought they made the camera move around like that. To make it seem that Freddie is sort of watching them make the song!

  • Yep. Bri is so sly when he's describing the concept, isn't he? Without coming right out and saying it, of course.

  • my god, that is a looooong piano!

why did he go? nobody wanted it!!!!

  • whose john..i thought brian wrote it

  • John is the basplayer and it was Brian who wrote the song.

  • In this video I can see the hug Brian give John when they finished the song. Some folks have comment that under other vids but I haven´t been able to see it. I think tough that caring for one an other is and always have been very typical for Queen.

  • i am crying right now... sure i cry over everything but, i'm not crying, my very soal is... i love you so much, Freddie... oh, what i would give to have been born at least 5 years sooner... i love you so much.... you inspire me to live my life to the absolute fullest... like you did.. and still living it... you never died, you never will. it's that simple. you are totally made of pure awome.

  • 3:49 "You know, you've to ask the question who you are" What an epic sentence. Casually dropped in an interview and nonetheless true for everyone of us and always.

  • "Cheers, Darlings." <3

  • at 5:22 it looks like John is about to cry:(

  • Are you kidding?!?!? John was affected the most. He didnt visit him alot because he was so sad to see his BEST friend in that condition. He is SO Sad! okay

  • john and freddie were very close friends.and to to say john never cared,is a bit harsh.i think apart from roger,he felt the pain the most,by could not handle it when fred died.i honestly wish john would make an appreance with brian and roger now and again, but he cant face it,and you have to respect his decision

  • @miyagi7946 couldnt say it any better than you. I cannot tell how many tears I shed because of this video and I believe that the three, back together for this epic song, must have cried loads too.... we miss you Freddie, forever and ever... only the good die young <3

  • this is great, thanks! would have been nice to see/hear more of John.

  • This is really good. Thanks for posting this.

  • I was in tears watching We Will Rock You on the West End when this song started! Very moving lyrics!

  • I cant hardly write for the tears but i agree with Litterio2009, "made by angels".

  • Not many things can get me teary eyed, I tell you, but this got me. I feel the greatest disappointment of my life is being born into a world in which Freddie had already been and gone. Yet somehow, I miss him.

    Long live you, Freddie.

  • Brian's a nice guy! and so is Rog you can tell their both very smart! <3 them!!!

  • This song makes me cry like no other can. The words are simple yet so powerful.

RIP Freddie, we miss you so much!

  • Not much makes me weep, this was an exception. Was in floods of tears, this is so beautiful

  • It would've been great to hear this one on the QPR concerts..

  • no no no. PR had no personal connection with Freddie, it wouldn't work at all.

  • I don't know on how to comment on this Video. I just feel that this song was made by Angels. So melodic, clean, so easy to listen to and all the most beautiful things a human being can express in words. Thanks Brian, Roger and John for this wonderful piece of work. You are all more than Geniuses. Always and forever a Queen fan.

  • When I heard "No one but you", I wept. There are few songs that have that affect one me as this one does.

Rest in peace, Freddie. You will not be forgotten and thank you John, Roger, Bri. God bless you.

  • So did I. After "The Show must go on", this is the second song that got tears in my eyes.

A lovely tribute to Freddie, Princess Diana, and everyone else who died too young.

  • "Cheers, darlings".....FREDDIE I MISS YOU, DARLING!

I LOVE QUEEN AND FOREVER WILL....John, dear John, you look so sad....IT MAKES ME CRY TO SEE JOHN SO SAD....

Of course Roger and Bri are amazing...

    Long Live ~QUEEN~

    -Jessica F.

  • Really nice comment Jessica

  • Thank you very much!

    Long Live ~QUEEN~

    -Jessica F.

  • You are welcome

  • I concur.

  • You're sweet, thank you!

    Long Live ~QUEEN~

    -Jessica F.

  • Thank you. :)

  • Well said,

In my eyes, Freddie will never die.

  • @MainManAus And in my heart, he never will either :')

  • @jessa121890 On another video, someone wrote that a part of John Decon died when Freddie did.

We all lost a part of our music life when he passed.

We miss you Freddie! Heaven's got a hell of a band.

  • @jessa121890 We all love and miss Freddie so much.

  • wow what an amazing song

  • I'm sure Freddie would have appreciated this song and video very much. Its is so genius and thoughtful of Brian and Roger to have this concept of a video for this amazing song. The sentiment behind placement of the glasses and the way Brian explains it is so heartbreaking...

  • Exquisite

  • "I don't know who you are, but you can visit all around us"...Wow, sentimantal and moving words, as if Freddie is still amoung them , brilliant guys , love this track so much! Long live Queen...

  • oh, John is SO sad at 2:29...

  • It's a shame we lost Freddie when we did. We really could have used him in the 90's when every band thought it was so hip to be doom and gloom. There was always a lot of optimism and hope in Freddie's songs, and a willingness to fight to overcome opposition.

  • Wad brian and roger said abt freddie is really very touching... and makes me cry..... especially when they play the song... indeed ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG...

But, as queen lovers, we wun let freddie be gone jus like tat but he will live in our hearts forever..... R.I.P Freddie

  • This song always makes me feel strangely sad.

    Its amazing.

    Just like Freddie

  • Damn, but I miss Freddie.

  • Freddie was one of the greatest vocalists and entertainers of all time. I still miss him and this song brings tears to my eyes every time.

  • The three of them should have continued, as Queen - there's no need for Paul Rodgers or another lead singer, as May and Taylor have exceptional talent without one.

  • you can see the sadness in there eyes but the guys are still together bonded by the same friendship that came about all those years ago and people forget that we are all human and that if you cant trust in anyone than we have little hope as human beings

  • Thank You for this beautiful video. Sounds strange I know but I still cry.

  • you'd be surprised how normal still crying is

  • very normal I know I cried my eyes out when I heard this song. I miss Freddie a lot, the world lost an amazing person when he left us.

  • We also miss Jphn Deacon (deaky!!!) very much please why dont queen become just the 3 peice

  • I think Brian and Roger both are excellent singer. I wish it could have been just the three of them, no need to bring in a new guy like Paul Rodgers

    filimbani

  • RIP sir.

btw, is this the last footage shot so far of John?

  • I have some John Deacon 2005 photos. But, i think that of footage, it´s the last thing. The last time he appeared as Queen, was in 2000, in a Toshina/EMI Event.

  • that was a nice thing to do for freddie , i like how this is just queen not queen + paul rogers

  • me too

  • 3:50

i think we're seeing it through Freddies eyes

    nice thaught innit?

    :'(

  • I'm shocked to see John Deacon is in the video....I thought he given up on the band. I hope I'm wrong

  • He did leave the band. This is one of his last apperances.

  • im sure he still backs all of the Queen stuff like the musical etc ??

  • Queen have the ability of making so strong songs and videos. There is a song to every mood, and they're making me feel that he hasn't gone.

Friday it was 17 years without him. But every day, it doesn't feel like he's gone. He will last as long as we want him to - forever.

Besides, does anyone know where I can find the whole video?

  • The last true Queen song.

  • We know, ESB1138 D:

  • wonderful.. its makes me cry..

  • despite years that have passed Roger still looks very hadndsome ^^

  • wonderful job guys!!!

    moving!

  • it made me cry... i love and i miss you, freddie ;_;

  • its freddie

  • I think the thing that makes this song so beautiful is the emotion with which it was sung and played. Well done, Brian, John, and Roger. Brought tears to my eyes. Freddy would be proud.

  • I agree with you Ebonytears..you could just feel that they put their heart and souls into that song in respect for Freddie.

  • i like this endin g better then the ending where they sing around the piano

  • it sometimes makes me cry :(, Freddie u'll be be in out hearts ! Gone but never forgotten..

  • Brian looked like he was about to cry when he is describing why the camera moves.

the "visitor" in his mind must be Freddie..

  • your exactly right

  • the way when brian said tt if they were filmin a queen video freddie wuld sit at the piano.. tt really made me cry... :( Freddie!!! we wan u bak!!!

  • the bit where he says "there would be cups" makes it seem the like the band is a shell without Freddie, no life...:(

  • great singing voices from roger and brian and i love this song RIP FREDDIE

  • impossible song, it made me cry when I hear this song

    RIP Freddie Mercury

    we love you (F)

  • FREDDIE WE STILL LOVE YOU DARLING

  • Beautiful voice Brian May.

  • i listend to it and it made me cry....and everything said in there is so true

    RIP freddie

i knew roger could sing....but brian has a REALLY good voice!!

  • It maked me cry again and it's so direct from the hart and that's why it's zo good.

We miss you Freddie we all do.

  • on the iano you can see an open book. does anybody imagine, what that could mean? maybe that it's like an open book, what time will bring to queen in the future.?

  • I like your thinking :) but its most likely he's reading piano music from it

  • i haven't saw the clip yet(waiting for it to load in atm)

if no-one is sitting at the piano though, it could be symbolic of, "that's where Freddie should be sitting"

  • you know in the last scene in the glass with a drink, you see a light?;

if you see that light, is the Freddie Mercury's Soul coming to visit to his friends of Queen

  • magnifico R.I.P farrock

  • I was crying the entire time watching this. I love Freddie so much. And Brian and Roger and John. They make life worth living.

  • 01:27 "and Johnny [who?]" ?

  • Sampa94, 1:27 he says Gianni Versace, who was murdered at age 50 in 1997. : (

  • okay, but who was that?

  • Sampa94, Gianni Versace was a famous Italian fashion designer, close friends with Elton John, and in 1997 some serial killer murdered him. : (

  • RIP Freddie

  • RIP FREDDIE MERCURY !!!

  • hope queen finish there tour this summer wid this song

  • freddie murcuryis my idol

  • My God this is so touching. Sends shiver down my spine. "we felt like he was always around", waaah...

  • What a great way to end the queen songs

  • Completly AWESOME!!! I'm still got tears in my eyes everytime I listen to it... Queen still rocks!

  • one of the greatest bands to ever exist.

  • Fuck George Michael!!!!!!!!, he sucks, FREDDIE FOREVER!!!

  • great song!

  • Does anyone know the time frame in which this was done. Year, etc?

  • Since the song was on Made In Heaven which came out in 1995, I suppose the song was done between 1992 and 1995, and the video later on.

    But I don't know for sure. :]

  • he says that it was made about the time that princess diana died, so the video would be around august 1997.

  • Yeah, okay then, that's true.

  • and to add my 2 cents. It wasn't on the made in heaven album, but on the compilation album Queen Rocks...

  • Once again, poor John Deacon was practically left out completely. I know he was a quiet one,but to leave him out of so many videos is unforgiveable.

  • Thats an unfair suggestion. John very much considered the other members of Queen much better then himself, musically at least, and his lack of vocal is very much evident in that. I think John very rarely made himself avalible for video, because he spent so much time travelling back to his family, much to his credit I think

  • Very interesting. I'm so glad there are people still around who knew Freddie, remember him, won't forget him...

  • Freddie was an absolute LEGEND and i don't care wot anyone says!!! not only that but this is a class song and im glad Queen do live on even without freedie.

    R.I.P Freddie Mercury

  • love this song and the memories it evokes

  • thankyou for the music the humer the memorys

  • I think he's holding together pretty well

  • Great bonus thank you very much for it..!!

  • FREDDIE

    FOREVER!

  • THANK YOU :)

  • lets get 1 thing straight. NO ONE will nor CAN replace freddy. BUT I do agree that the only singer in the world that can make queen sound good is GEORGE MICHAEL. Just look at him at the tribute concert, he blew everybody off

  • you know that he sang the song on a lower key and much slower right? :)

  • great song

    Great drummer

  • i cried the first time i heard this song, its just so beautyful.

  • I love Brian's comnents, 3:42-ish to 3:51-ish. "So maybe you're a...maybe you're a visitor. I don't know who you are...you have to ask yourself the question who you are."

    So sly!
