@cantforgetyou he's screaming a tune, so he's singing, and how is this not emotional? and the melodies are great, listen to the album with headphones. Try facing page: top left at least
This song is awesome. I think Peeled Apples will appreciate though that is not as good as Paul Stanley's A Million to One. Though Richey was a great lyricist, Paul Stanley is the king of pop! Right Peeled Apples you agree with me.
i bought CD today... god, this song, the lyrics, just blew me out!! Especially at 'Jackie collins...', 'all is vanity' and 'pretension/repulsion'... i miss you Richey.
I agree, amazing album partoftheratpack. Got it on vinyl and the deluxe version too signed by the band! well chuffed! so which is your favourite manic's album dude?
Depends on what mood i'm in to be honest. Think they've got such a range of styles, love them all. As a collective album i'd say everything must go, the bible, journal for plague lovers and lifeblood are my favourites at this present time.
Yeah i know what you are saying, what a track though she bathed herself in a bath of bleach is so much like teen spirit in the chorus i think and peeled apple's a bit nevermind sounding too but with manic's written all over it.
I wondered why you hadn't taken it down, but you have now well done fella! i thought what a nasty guy! he must be envious of richey's talent. what do you make of the new album then? i love it!
yeah i think its definately the best since holy bible, erm im not too keen on nicky wire singing williams last words. But i guess it adds some slight variation.
Thanks for the catch, you're right of course, it is "extra bones". As for William, nobody really knows except for Richey. None of the other band got the reference. They concluded the song itself is Richey comparing himself to Olivier in 'The Entertainer' it is pretty autobiographical and really quite sad when you put it in context.
Classic 70's really. The two sisters Jackie and Joan Collins, the "sisterhood" doing a talk show "Question Time". Two different approaches to the same goal, sex, god and the breakdown and subversion of love and relationships. The Sex Pistols line is thrown in as an extra nod to the end of an era? The pathetic end of the Pistols and the slogan that was thrown about during the 1970's.
Who can understand what James is singing without the words in front of them when he's in this kind of throat tearing form =) Thanks for putting this on here, although Im gutted with myself for not hanging on until my copy arrived on Monday, I'm so weak!!!! Roll on the Roundhouse on the 30th!!!
Sound's nothing like bruce springsteen! more like Hole it's clearly the hole sound from their live through this album. that's the influence over this track. 9/10
I simply love the three songs I have heard from this album so far.

I've listened to the whole album, but it's too rough for me. I like more emotional melodies. This is more screaming than singing to me.

I could of sworn it was born a profit vs born on profit.
born a prophet-pretension
born on prophet-repulsion
But I guess born a graphic vs porn a graphic fits in the context of the song.

Having Nicky sing WLW adds much more emotion to it, I feel. It just seems like perfect closure.
Apparently, the demos will have Nicky singing She Bathed Herself and Marlon J.D., which should prove pretty interesting!
