When have my USB Turntable plugged in, I can't hear any other sounds coming from my computer. Also, how can I listen to the record even when its not being recorded?
With the equipment used in this video, the file format will make little difference to the poor quality sound delivered by the bottom-of-the-line quality turntable, tone-arm, cartridge, built-in phono stage, and very likely a crappy analog to digital converter plagued with jitter.
.
And why clean the record?
Just grab the surface with your greasy fingers at 1:14 time frame.
Absolutely right Anderzom. Yep MP3 is lossy compressed crapp and loses 'realism' especially on Live Performances. Just to carry with you but In-car? CD only - no MP3 thanks. Dig analogue convertor? Right, but can it also remove Vinyl snap crackle & Pop? That has always been the downer about Vinyl as the plastic dropped in quality. If we can remove the noise, Great! Audacity does it, but how good is it for that job?? Anybody? Gotta get a good TT & cartridge again, Vinyl can be awesome!
mp3 to vinyl would be an better idea

Why not convert to 88.2Kz 24 bit wav or FLAC. Save that then convert to MP3?

At least convert them to lossless files such as FLAC, ALAC, or even WAV.

Yea but usually those USB turntables are very low quality and sound horrible.

That's right!
It's better to have a good turntable with convert box ADC (analog to digital converter) or just plug rca to 3.5mm to mic input. =)

I agree all that shits are a plastic trash... and WHY CONVERT A Vinyl TO MP3... what a stupid idea!
first vinyl sound are great and sometimes better that digital... and second mp3 is a lossy format ... so loss audio quality...
all that things is for people that dont know anything about sound.
