Thanks, this is a perfect example for showing How NOT to rescue a canoe. Respect the river and get proper training! Rescue 3 International has good courses.
Here, everything is wrong. ip address will never stand up to the wrist does not connect. the node will never be resolved not taken. Beer bottle in his hand with the recovery will be made. Security systems, a user does not know this video izlayim fallible. The title of this video is very, very wrong.

Unbelievable... Where to start? There are so many things going wrong, that I don't know where to start. Get some instruction, the right gear and take some experienced whitewater boaters along the next time!
...if the guy at the end did not freeze I would think it's just a fake, this stupidity is just unbeleaveable... Unfortunately they survided to spread the video! Never tie a rope around you unless you are so drunk that you do not even recognize it ;-)
Do NOT tie a rope around you. It could get wrapped around your neck and get caught around an object. In fast flowing rivers and streams it can get caught on an underwater object and pull you under to where you can not surface. Think Safety.
If you're gonna make an instructional video, PLEASE add the disclaimer that you're a bunch of country bumpkin hicks that don't know what you're doing if that's the case.
My favorite part is where the guy holding the rope takes a big chug of beer before his buddy goes in the water. These people are not too bright. At the very least they should have approached the boat from downstream. Never tie a rope to yourself...ever!
Professional life jackets do have a quick release system witch must be used in order to attach a rope to a rescuer. If your life jacket has no quick release system, then better hold the rope in one hand, instead of connecting it with a knot to a person. Best Regards, Aaregiel, Swiss Raft guide and Canoe Instructor
Never go in the rapids (fast moving water) with a rope fixed to your body or wrist. The rope can easily get wrapped around some branches and a rescuer could drown because of the rope. Many people die like this.
Failure at the game of life.

This is a video on how NOT to rescue a boat!
To many things wrong to fully critique, but for starters, where is rescue PFD? Never tie onto any rope without a rescue PFD.
If you do whitewater and want to do a rescue class. Rescues done wrong and imitated can kill someone.
