  • I keep getting lagging problems when I try to use this and 100% of my dual core processor is used.

  • Also, They don't play at full speed when they're tiled. I've tried different settings such as direct draw, GDI, I'm using x1 hardware and x1 software scaling, and when I take over a game it seems to play fine, but will freeze every so often for a second.

  • It sounds like you might have to lower the "Maximum unique games to emulate" setting, which is available on the video options dialog. You other settings (GDI, x1 software and hardware scaling) are already set for maximum performance. Let me know if that works!

  • I have the maximum unique games set to 8 and I even tried using 100% video only and it's still running slow while using up both CPU cores.

  • I don't suppose there will be a Linux version for this since the emulator itself is dependent on DirectX right? :(

  • A Linux version is planned but working on the new 2010 version has priority at the moment.

  • is there a way to take over a game without maximizing that game? i am using dual monitors and whenever i take a game over, it is split between the monitors.

  • Yes - in the "Advanced movie wall options", uncheck the "Switch to these video settings when taking over for a game" checkbox.

  • oh, ok. thanks

  • Also, the upcoming 2010 version of the Nintendo Saver will fix the "stretching across two monitors" problem the 2009 version has.

  • i love the smell of nostalgia in the mroning =D

  • how did you configure it to show more than 4 games at once? I can only get 4.

  • Make sure the "hardware scale" and "software scale" are both set to "Normal (x1)" on the video options dialog. That will decrease each game's display size and allow more to be tiled over the screen.

  • Thanks got it working! I have 20 games since my max resolution is 1280x1024... It's a beautiful thing.

  • How do you get it to run on dual monitors without using ultramon or some program like that.

  • It should auto-detect multiple monitors. If it is not working properly make sure you download the newest version; some bugs related to multi-monitor set-ups were fixed.

  • Well, I tried it. It claims I didn't make a database but I did. Any ideas?

  • Doesent this make your PC pretty damn slow?

  • It takes a lot of CPU power to emulate 60 NES games at 60 Hz, but the settings can be tuned down for more modest hardware.

  • this is cool

  • Sometimes you wake up and you see the world today and you just want to scream in despair at all the single game emulation going on, then you stumble onto something like this and suddenly anything is possible. Kudos Luke4239 (or should I say Howard Roark), you've really distanced yourself from Luke4238 with this work.
