This is no where near a one arm chin up, and she isnt even holding a pull up grip! She do not go fully down, which should be easy when you weight 100 pounds. Some idiots might call this a one handed chin ups since only one hand touches the bar, so they might be right. The official turn is one ARM pull up. Thumbs up so people can see the truth, and not get confused.
Flagged, these are 1 HANDED PULL UPS, no where near the same as one ARMED pull ups, the only difference between a one handed pull up, and a normal pull is grip strength.
wtf is wrong with u people this is a one arm pullup. Shes only holding below her wrist.. shes not holding the bar with two arms. If she grabs her ass with the other arm or she grabs her wrist IT DOES NOT MATTER where else she grabs unless she grabs the bar. This is a one arm Pullup fair and square.
@comicdweebify its not one hand arm pullup.... Just try pulling yourself with one arm while your other is in the air or next to you body, then try this easy shit... youl see the difference.. She is pulling her weight with her left arm...
@comicdweebify you obviously have never tried it! Grabbing your wrist makes it much easier and is used as a progression to eventually get a real one-arm chinup. There is two more progression after this.
You should call it one handed gripped pull ups, not one arm buddy, thats a whole different term there. They are a bit harder because you need a stronger grip but other than that, its two arms being used.
Well, those are far from one handed pull ups. As far as I'm concerned it's impossible for any woman to possess the capability to do even a single one armed pull up.
and all this time I thought I was doing just "assisted one hand pull-ups" (the preparation for one handed pull-ups). but really Im actually doing real one arm pull-ups??
To all the dumbasses who say shit about her. This is amazing period! Try it yourself and say shit after. A unnassisted one arm chin up take a damn lot of time to achieve. This style of one arm pull ups can increase your handgrip strenght, the hand holding the other one wrist is doing a big effort to don't slip down.
that is a one handed two arm chin up. A one arm pull up would have one arm dead at your side and you'd have to flip your wrist. That said you did great and you should be really proud! you're in great shape and you look great
Girls routinely underestimate the difficulty of a true OAP and are not impressed by guys who do them. (Truth is, they only care about good looks, despite their claims to the contrary).
Regardless of what type of video is put together, it will take some time before Kat is in top form, probably a few weeks, so... can I tailor my original request?
I think the following would make an awesome video: Kat in Superwoman outfit. 3 "true" one-arms left arm, 3 "true" one-arms right arm. Theme music.
I think the average person would be all but awestruck to see what I just described.
Man, I wish YouTube had a better system for logging text. A 500 characters-per-post limit is too small for everything I want to put down here, and coherency will be destroyed by this thing naturally putting down my most recent message at the top of the list. I'll see what I can do about drafting what I want to say in reverse order so it comes out right...
No those are not the same as a normal pull-up. I beg to differ. She can do 15 to 20 normal pull-ups and can manage only 3 with these. YOU try them and see the differance yourself......if you dare. thanks
@supermanphil yeah but that has to do with her grip strength, not her back and bicep strength. if she strengthens those forearms she will be able to do 15 to 20 assisted one handed pullups as well
@supermanphil Your some kind of trainer right? You should know the diffrence between a 1 arm pull up and this. And no way would she do 20 pull ups if 3 is her max that way. Get the topic right next time.
@supermanphil totally both arms. this is one handed. very distinct difference. this is much closer in difficulty to regular 2-handed chins than a straight up one arm chin. PeDoDoKu is totally right. the description says that she'd do a one arm chin in the "near future" and this video was from over a year ago. if she can do the real deal now, a video response would be awesome. still, awesome work. most women can't even do regular 2 handed chins.
actually both arms dude ;) thats so easy, and there s not a big resistance difference.. it put just twice weight to ur WRIST than used to be. thats it..
@countryclassic The arm does assist abit, its easier than one arm hanging loose or behind your back. But its still classed as a one arm pull up! It is impressive!

This is a one-arm CHIN-up, not one-arm pull-up. Pretty cool, but the title is misleading for those who don't know the diff.

@comicdweebify First, its a chinup dumbass....
Second, she uses her left arm, by raising herself just as she does with her right arm... The only difference is where her hands are...

These are one-handed chin ups....Not even one-handed pull ups.
One arm pull ups is extravagant....Mostly no one can really do them, at least from dead hang perfectly like I do using not a drop of momentum.
AndyHarglesis 11 months ago
Not to mention she barely did one, the other two she didn't even make it. However for a woman this is still quite a feat. I applaud her.

Isn't that other arm actually causing gravity to pull down on the arm doing the pull-up. I would hardly call it "assisted."

I think my right tendon got badly strained from doing these.
Not sure though....might've been from the heavy hammer curlin.
Anyhow,i stick to wide grip pullups these days.
Rocky style would'nt be good for a strained tendon.
