Haha this is two of my favorite things: The beautiful beautiful state that I live him and the beautiful beautiful Anthony Bordain XD Seriously, Montana is an incredible place and I am so lucky I live here. I live in a valley surrounded by the Rocky Mountains...It's cool shit.
Death waits inside us for a door to open. Death is patient as a dead cat. Death is a doorknob made of flesh. Death is that angelic farm girl gored by the bull on her way home from school, crossing the pasture for a shortcut. In the seventh grade she couldn't read or write. She wasn't a virgin. She was "simpleminded," we all said. It was May, a time of lilacs and shooting stars. She's lived in my memory for sixty years. Death steals everything except our stories. Jim Harrison
I just watched the 3 episodes and I am hungry. But not just for food. Jim Harrison makes you hungry for the things we often ignore..the inner voice that calls us all to consider more .
This is hands down my favorite episode of no reservations. He could have sat with Jim Harrison and Russel Chahtam for the hour and it would have been just as awesome. I agree with delboy240970 on this one. You see a completely different side of Tony in this episode, especially during his time with Chatham. Look for the additional footage of Tony and Harrison talking in the field. didnt make it on the episode but still pretty good stuff.
I love the fact that you can see tonys brusk mask slip whilst he is watching russel chatham paint and talking about his work....that you actually see a truer side to him....clearly a man with appreciation of the finer things in all life...not just food.....not seen a bad episode of no reservations yet...or a cooks tour for that matter....a true chefs chef
yanno as sad as the situation with family farms and ranches are, im proud of these people, even though we're unlikely to ever meet. thats what america was founded on, its the spirit of who we are. color me sappy if you want, im definitely an admiring outsider as well.
If he's a bad man, then kill him. Not you -- you. Yes, you not you.

Montana seems really hard to represent on a show but I hope it goes well. It always does.

Looking at that incredible view makes me want to thank God...and I'm sure I'd thank Him every day, summer or winter.
