i have a question for you laurent, what are those white things doing on the jog wheel?

When I first got the players, the jog wheels were very smooth. Sometimes when I would move them, I couldn't tell if the jog wheel was moving or if my greasy fingers are just sliding across it.

I put the white velcro things to let me able to "grip" the jog wheel.
