yes it very said for me because shes my grandmother,and very said that she left my mother and uncle abandoned as children at a neighbors house because of here drug abuse,and the sades of all she never let anybody know she had children,and the demon ripe of way that she was still live though my family that struggles with depression and drug-abuse as well .yes its very said my mother has been in foster homes and getting molested and abuse her hole young life because of her and she still cry s.

Beautiful and rare pictures of Billie. She was unique 'til the end. Her voice was so sad. She died on July 17th 1959, and was never replaced. May she rest in peace.

This was an outtake from her last studio album, "Lady In Satin", recorded in February 1958. Her voice was "shot", but it could still convey all the emotions that remained within her. The finished recording, with Ray Ellis' accompaniment, is even more haunting...
