She Featured Maynard Jeez. Wynton has played with Sarah Vaughn and Botti has played with Paula cole. playing with a vocalist doesn't mean that your losing status or not the main act

Pretty funny to see MF point to her as a cue to scat! As far as the collaberation. Maynard's band HAS played behind and recorded with other singers.(Chris Connor). Diane and MF were both with Concord Records at this time.

Its kind of a downer to watch later Maynard stuff like this. Maynard made a career of being the main act, not playing background music for a singer (though Diane Schuur is certainly a great singer).
