Excellent video. I have much respect and admiration for the country of Switzerland. I especially appreciate their historic dedication to neutrality, non-interventionism and support of the armed citizen soldier. In recent years though these positions have been under attack with the vote to join the United Nations and continued agitations to join the European Union as well.

Well, these Panzer Grenadiers! Good video, good performance. Back in my time (I'm 52 years old, the Grenadiers looked more like Waffen //, you know what I mean......) These boys are slim, but eager... I did not serve with them, just in the regular infantry, and believe me: The training there was no walk in the park!

lol do you really think hitler would not have been able to invade us? we built many bunkers to defend the country....france did too. hitler dropped his paratroopers and all those bunkers were pointless. he would have done the same in switz. guisan realized this and retreated the army into the mountains. it sounded like a great move but in reallity it was not realistic to defend those few valleys without having supply. the bank secret saved our asses its quite simple.

How do you think should Iraq have defend his Country aiganst the USA? They had no chance in a open military battle. They have a guerilliawar down there. Wich side takes more damage now, is more feard to move in the streets? Sure the americans are IN the country, but they didn't "win" the war.
Same would have happened in switzerland. Out of the Mountains we could have done a guerilliawar wich costed a lot of resources of the thirt empire. This is, what hitler feard. Thats why, he didn't attack us

Well, these Panzer Grenadiers! Good video, good performance. Back in my time (I'm 52 years old, the Grenadiers looked more like Waffen //, you know what I mean......) These boys are slim, but eager... I did not serve with them, just in the regular infantry, and believe me: The training there was no walk in the park!

Polchky thanks for the quick response. I have always liked the Swiss Idea of home defense and citizen/soldier culture. Been to Switzerland a few times on bike trips and own an old k31 (super nice old rifle) thanks again for info. Amazing you have all those languages and we Americans are afraid of Spanish..lol

Das er die Beste Armee hat sagt irgendwie jeder nur das bei euch genauso wie zum Beispiel bei der Deutschen Bundeswehr es an allen Ecken hängt will keiner wahrhaben. Wenn du dich bei dem "best Army" auf die Militärische Stärke beziehst musst du den Titel leider an die US Army abtreten, es gibt keine Armee in der mehr in den Soldaten investiert wird, so hohe Technologie zum Einsatz kommt (auch wenn es nicht immer ihre ist) und hart und häufig trainiert wird.

Das hilft dir auch unglaublich viel wenn sich einer an dich heranschleicht und sich in die Luft sprengt oder eine Bombe irgendwo versteckt am Straßenrand liegt. Das euer Gewehr bei der US Army Verwendung findet hat noch garnichts zu sagen, SF haben eh den Zugriff auf fast alles und wenn du so die Stärke der schweizer Armee belegen willst packe ich halt gleich meine Liste mit H&K und SigSauer Produkten aus die die US Army von uns bekommt. ;)

die schweiz hat sicher nicht die beste armee der welt, aber sie ist eine der definitiv besseren, insbesondere da wir eine sehr günstige lage innerhalb europa haben (inmitten der alpen) was es schwer für ausländische truppen machen würde, falls es zu einer invasion kommen würde.. die schweiz hat nicht die beste armee der welt, aber sie arbeitet hart daran ;)
