  • one of my baby sparrow is not eating and its eyes is always closed, it has feathers but not the whole body yet. what should i do please reply as soon as possible becuase i really want to save it

  • @AwesomeJingTan You should go to a vet of a large pet supply store and arks the for seed eater raising mix, or tell them what type of bird it is and they should know what type of raising mix to use.

Hope this helps, and is not too late.

  • @XxXMidnightblackXxX thanks for replying but its dead :( its choked on a food ... i ask my parents to send him to a vet but they were too laazy and didnt even care :(

  • @AwesomeJingTan I

’m sorry to hear that it died. How old was it, or how many feathers did it have if it had any? Also have a video I made about how to look after a baby black bird, it also have some information on how to look after other birds if you still want to know what to do in case you find another bird.

I know that it works because I have raised and released 5 black birds and looked after many other animals as well.

  • If the chick is big enough to fly, just leave it alone, unless it's just to weak to doso.

  • Hard boiled eggs? Isn't that like.. cannibalism?

  • Step 1: LET THE MOM DO ALL THE SHIT

  • I am an experienced bird breeder and i just use the handfeeding formulas!!!!

  • It's not always cheap either, it was expensive and very time consuming feeding the baby woodpecker. Luckily, he was a hardy sucker and even though he didn't care much for mealworms, I'd give him a variety of choices and he'd pick what he wanted out of the insects and bugs and worms.

  • They're easier to raise and release when they're feathered b/c they've already imprinted on their parents & only look to you to finish their feeding/care until their strength is regained & when they start flying let them go. Baby bird care in fledglings usually doesn't exceed 2-3 days. If they're younger, then they may require longer care but if it's winter & the parents aren't feeding them on the ground, u can help them. In the spring, best leave them be unless there's no choice.

  • I would let him out to practice flying b/c he couldn't fly well the first day and he got good at it in the bathroom I made safe for him. He pecked at himself in the mirror, landed on my head and pulled on my hair trying to make a nest, pecked on the carrier, chased crickets on the carpet, ate numerous insects and worms of all kinds, and started flying around the room away from me when he finished his meals. He was ready for release on Xmas morn and is thriving now. He now is wild again.

  • I had fed it soft Gerber baby food (baby beef kind) w/a 1cc syringe a tiny bit just inside the beak. I had to force feed it gently at first by opening its beak carefully by lightly pulling on the tuft under the chin which gently opens their mouth and put a small blip of food and he swallowed it and then sqawked for more. After 1 1/2 he started eating on his own from a bowl. I gave him calcium sup., worms, grubs found outside & pinhead crickets he chased & ate them all. He slept in carrier

  • My cousin called saying her two children found the bird in the yard on the ground, weak w/no other birds or parents around feeding it and it had rained the days beforehand. The nest must've blown out of the tree and the other siblings had probably flown the coop or didn't make it. Not finding a licensed rehabilitator during the busy holiday, I gave them some the stuff to take care of the bird but they had trouble & told me to come and get it. So I used my bird books & cared for it.

  • Boy, I was stuck doing this very thing over the Christmas holiday on Thursday Dec.22nd 2011 thru Sunday Dec 25th Xmas morning and I was dang tired. I was up most of the early morning and night. Had to get up at 5:30 and prepare a baby YellowBellied Sapsucker Woodpecker bird's meals. Twiggy was a male woodpecker type bird I released on Xmas morning when it was warm,70 degrees and sunny outside here in Arkansas. He's doing well outside putting hole in trees, he's bigger now.

  • hahahaah kids say that

  • what if i don't have any of that stuff?

  • Hello, I was just wondering what type of baby bird was at the start of the video.

  • @RadRider19 that would be a pigeon or dove

  • This is crap, just go to the pet store and get baby bird feed and google the correct temperature that your food should be at for your specific bird. Mixing dog food and all that crap can only mess the baby stomach since they don't digest food like other animals. Some dog food have bone in it and a bunch of artificial garbage in it. Like GFUSwagg said " Step 9 Unsubscribe"

  • easyier yet, go to the pet store and by a 6.00 bag of kaytee baby bird food...duh!

  • why would a bird eat an egg thats basically cannabalism right there

  • The girl is wearing an emerald in the wrong finger. correct finger for emerald is the last small finger.

  • epicparker45 is correct. That bird in the video is a baby dove. With some birds, you can force feed them, but if you find a baby dove, they must be fed a grain-based formula, that you feed through a hole cut in a plastic bag, or something similar. They will insert their beak into the bag, and drink the formula. Meat will make them very sick, or they will most likely refuse to eat it/spit it out.

  • this bull crap those are dove so you have to either open its mouth and feed it with a syringe or mage a hole from a tube and feed it that way doves dont open mouths only whaen it feels like its inside its mothers beak. i should know ive raised two of them and trying to raise a baby parakeet

  • WTF???????//What is this.Bull shit

  • @KeshaMakesMeHot I can send you a video of what i use to feed it the mixture and how to make it if you want?? just reply if you want or not :D

  • @KeshaMakesMeHot no way! I just found one but it's crying and doesn't want to eat

  • haha

  • the baby bird is so cute

  • If you dont have that stuff mix some bread crumbs with warm water works fine for my saved two pigeons they love it!

  • Would it work if I used the sugar and dog food but not the hard boiled egg.

  • @BritZ1997 I am guessing that would be ok . anything is better than nothing. I she boiled rice too :-)

  • Is there a special kind of dog food that we need to use or can it be any kind????

  • @zebrafreak22 Its True I Feed My Canary Chiken Eggs and, Egg Was The Favorite Dinner EvenThough It Was Scared of Me It Of Grabbed Of My And Go Back To Her Cage.Even AllMost All The Pet Shops Sells Them In With Canary Seeds.

  • well did you know my dick is small wait my brothers is small not mine oh crap

  • ehow your a fail

  • not every bird!

  • @JulesMcDannold I have to feed mine every 20 minutes but I just feed them worms

  • @ShebaTheLoneWolf Do you know what species of bird it is? Also if you need more information on how to look after baby birds I have a video about what to do, I will also be pouting up a video on how to release birds as well.

  • @XxXMidnightblackXxX I don't know what they are...Ive added hard boiled egg and grass hoppers to thier diet...I need more help please.thanks!:D

  • what kind of bird was that running. I just found one. Can i just feed it dog food and water.

  • All u need is bread, milk and if u want some small worms.

    1. add a little amout of milk into a container

2.add pieces of bread and let the bread become soggy

3.Grab little pieces of the soggy bread and let the baby birds pick on it or if the open there mouths drop it on their mouths

Now, after they have aeten they are probably thirstyso dip your finger in water and let the baby bird nibble on your finger!

  • @alanmrubiano Do you know ALL birds are lactose intolerant so they will die if you give them milk, and bread especially white bread is really bad for birds especially baby, so you should not tell people to feed them it.

  • i cut up worms and gave it water its surprisly still alive

  • No, I disagree with your advice. Go to Petsmart or other big chain pet store. Obtain baby bird hand feeding mix in powder form. Zupreem, Kaytee etc. ask an employee if you can't find it. Follow the direcitons. Crush tiny mealworms for extra protein. I feed about 3 a day. I use a 1cc syringe to feed. Feed every 30 min. or hour while you are awake and use a warm water bottle as a nest inside another larger box. I used a low setting heating pad too. I'm raising a bluejay and succeeding.

  • i fed a baby bird a piece of bread it enjoyed it

  • i dnt have a damn heating pad -_-

  • @TheEggroll4321 Use a covered hot water bottle or like me I've taken the electric blanket off my bed and put it under the birds box

  • I can feed the baby bird with earthworm, can't I?

  • Ok, first of all, I don't HAVE all that shit. I don't have a dog, so I don't have dog food. I don't have a baby so I don't have baby cereal either! I'm broke right now, can't buy anything. What the fuck! This baby bird is gonna die all because we can't feed them something simple!

  • omg...this is so wrong! How about bringing it to a wildlife rehabber?

  • @ashlanas my cat brought home 3 baby birds 2 which was dead so I rang around every rehabber in my area and no one will take the one live bird because they said it will die within 48 hours, HES NOW OVER 56 HOURS AND STILL GOING STRONG yet they wont take it still.

if wed of said he's a rare falcon baby then I'm sure they'd of jumped to the chance to take it.

    :(

  • @leeky1988 I looked at your profile and I believe you are in England?? I am in the US and am a wildlife rehabber. Gosh, someone here had baby birds, they would be taken in a heartbeat. I am not sure how things work over there. If they are falcons, they are soooo protected!!! Legally, people with out a license can not keep wildlife for more then 24hours. I think you need to find out what kind of bird it is, that could change the diet entirely as it is very important at this age.

  • @ashlanas ahhh right, yh if it was an "important bird" I am sure someone would have taken it in a heart beat.

thank you for your advice anyway :)

  • @leeky1988 I am so sorry about no one helping you! That really stinks! Please keep trying..........especially if you only have one bird left. We never raise any animal by itself. They need to grow up with what ever kind of animal they are. Good luck!

  • ¬¬ Ive had birds for years and Ive even raised a few babies but never on earth ever heard this! I agree with some folks, simplest thing is bloody get a bird formule or atleast feed em some worms! this video was such a crap presentation -__-" altho i have heard you can give egg yolk to baby birds

  • @Liara1991 youre wrong, look up this, starlingtalkcom/babycare.htm

  • Such crappy information! This should be removed from youtube.

  • ive got an idea, how about worms?

  • @taleoflies most doves fall out of nests n doves dont eat bugs/insects or worms

  • Here what you need: WORMS! That's it. You think mother birds go shopping at Walmart for all this gourmet shit?

  • There feeding the bird a egg thts like eating ur cousin

  • Can't you just feed them seeds from coles and woolworth?

  • there was this video were this man was foursing the baby bird food into it. that was sad i wanted to punch that dude.osnap he's coming to my house buyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

  • I`ill cook the baby bird if I found it

  • wow this really helped i just got done feeding a baby bird

    ....to my snake

  • my friend found babies birds in her chimney, her cat was trying to eat them. Now we are trying to save them. They are black and they have a lot of skin with no feathers is this normal?

  • @CCKittyGdawg yeah they are babies about a few weeks or days old

  • what i do is grab bread and milk and give it to the baby bird and they grow just fine, but when they dont want to eat a grab my 9mm and point it at the baby bird untill it starts to eat lol lol jp

  • baby birds have bird mites. and they bite and can infest your house. if u see a baby bird leave it outside. more then likely the mother will take care of it

  • if she just said only handle the bird when necessarily , why does that ugly girl keep touching it ?

  • I wonder if a human can eat that bird food...and how it would taste like?

  • feed = heat

    right????????????

  • forget that Id let nature take its course

  • Aww I want to raise a bird now :>

  • For the people complaining that you're not supposed to touch baby birds. First of all, there's nothing wrong with touching the bird if you're going to assume responsibility of caring for it. Sparrow mothers don't care if their babies are touched. They'll take them back anyways. It's a good idea when caring for a wild bird to dust it with mite dust to kill any mites it might have hiding in the feathers.

  • For the people who are taking this video seriously, don't. The bird in the video is a dove. That isn't how you feed a dove. Doves are herbivores. They only eat seeds. They'll eat bugs only by accident while eating the seeds. They also supplement their diet with pebbles, which help them to digest their food. They don't gape, so you have to feed them with a tube. You put warm mashed seeds and water into a tube and put the tube AROUND the bird's beak and the bird will drink it.

  • Oh, and doves have crops - a little pouch that stores their food before it goes to the stomach. That makes it easy to figure out when to feed them. You just check to see how full their crop is. You want it to be full most of the time. Generally you can feed them every hour to two hours, and you don't usually have to feed them at night. So sleep well.

  • DONT TOUCH IT! LET IT DIE!!! please thats just killing it/putting it in stress birds can die from stress within 20minutes>.>

  • How do you feed a bird to a baby? I heard that its healthy and will make animals stronger to eat other animals so I want to feed my nephew dead animals that I find around the forests, but I don't want to cook them since I want him to get like that animal spirit thing the indians talk about or whatever.

  • lol... Canned cat WTF? xD

  • Awwww(:

  • I love how people think if you touch a baby bird the mother won't want them,

Birds have no sence of smell. But they are afraid of humans, therefore if you take the baby from where the mother is from she will run away.

  • WTF?! FEED A BIRD AN EGG. HE'S EATING HIS COUSIN! :O

  • @zebrafreak22 birds can have UN-FERTILE eggs that means theres no living life in them!

  • Ummmmmmm your not supposed to touch the baby bird. Dont say NO BIRDS WERE HARMED IN THEMAKING OF THIS VIDEO! Because now that baby is dead. The mom wont take them back if they have your sense on them

  • FEED THE BIRD ANOTHER BIRD ( EGG)...

  • you dont fuckin do that with baby birds. you dont keep them and handle them because the mother wont take them back.

  • lol feeding a baby bird is not cheap

  • @tukarak well life or money i pick life
