  • x360 > ps3

    imac > pc

  • got a $800 desktop, intel core i3, 6gb ram ddr3, galaxy 430gt 1gb GPU.

Run's Saints Row The 3rd on high settings easily, what is that mac? you say that your $1,500 mac has 2gb ram? pathetic...

  • Oh mac! Always 3 years late!

  • On hardware, a mac will never win a custom pc in price, performance, or manufacturing quality.

not in 2009, not in 2012. Givit up pal.

  • ofers a great gpu LOL

  • great gpu you say jezus thats like the worst graphics card dude my pc from 4 years ago has a better card

  • The mac Graphics card is shit, thats why I bought a pc for gaming. Also Learn2Make Videos and not steal.

  • of course applesoldier would steal a video cause he cant make his own.

  • 2011 iMac is a joke. The graphics cards in it are almost identical to the ones from the 2010 one. Not to mention that for the same price you can get a PC thats like 3x faster.

  • oh christ that most likely costed 3,000

  • the minute i saw this video was uploaded by applesoldier i knew it would be innacurate and biased. i didnt even watch it and i just know. listen people, mac and pcs are both great. dont go to this kids videos for comparisons, unless your a diehard applefanboy who lives a lie and cant face reality. when it comes to gaming, pc wins. period. dont argue this, because you will lose

  • (Walk back home boy) Your hardware sucks ass leave us big boys out of the apple's kiddies world!

  • drugs are elligal, you know

  • "Considering you would have to pay 500, 600, 700 dollars or more for a 24" screen the quality of the imac a custom rig isnt to great sounding Wonderful"

At least my new monitor wouldn't change in to yellow

  • lol, my gameing pc cost $1200 thats with my 23" samsung px2370, g15 keyboard. deathadder mouse, 5.1 audio set up, nice sony headphones and a nice mic.

i added none pc parts to the total for a full game set up, not just the pc.

ati HD 4890. core 2 duo 3 ghz 8gb ram 650W corsair. that was a year ago..LOL macs ftl

  • @kosard212 Too bad Windows is the biggest piece of shit ever. Enjoy dying a virgin gaming faggot.

  • @coffeeandsugar20 you're an ignorant person

  • @steven4570 Yeah... that comment was out of line reading that 4 weeks later

  • @coffeeandsugar20 glad you see that

  • @kosard212 mine is 600$ acer aspire 5740g that runs bf3 on medium settings

  • i can play most those games at 1200X1000 at 25 fps at high settings on my 600 dollar gateway laptop. what? you paid 3000 dollar for that? wait what? you can build a gaming computer that runs crysis at 16x13 at high settings with 30fps for 1000 dollars? yeah. redneck bitch

  • How much does this cost compared to a Windows gaming PC? Probably too much more.

  • horrible comparison, didn't show the same games in comparison on mac vs pc. This is awful and not good science or even logical. The hardware is different - duo core on pc vs the mac that had more cores in this video. 2 different monitors with different resolution max capacity, quality and age of monitor technology - why not just compare a bicycle to a rocket ship while your at it. geez. mac is pretty but if you can't do a fair comparison then don't do a video.

  • LOL my Alienware owned any Mac, any time ( gaming wise). So, it's not even an argument.

  • @tuvinhphuc As much as I hate macs, alienware isn't much better.

  • Comment removed

  • I'd still rather game on my high end PC...

  • I regret buying my mac. When I first started playing games on it I was amazed. It ran incredibly smoothly, the graphics were awesome, etc.

Despite the frustration of having to get windows on my mac so I could play certain games, I was pleased.... for about a week.

then my computer started overheating while I was playing, so bad that despite it being propped up with a cooling pad and downloading smc fan control so I could turn on the fans myself (because for some reason didn't do it on its own)

  • @ljp7c4

i still couldn't play it for more than 45 min at a time.

then it started overheating no matter what I was doing on it, watching movies, youtube vids, playing facebook games, etc... now around 50% of the time I open up LOTRO on windows I get the blue screen of death.

and don't even get me started on customer service, yeah they're nice but there's not much they can do apparently, except for tell their customers to buy a new computer or expensive new parts that may or may not work!

  • Wow your $3000 mac can play some games, I made my pc about 4yr ago for about $1000 and i can still play all the new games at max settings no lag at all. Go buy Windows if your going to be a gamer it's got way more games.

  • that farcry2 footage is running at 35fps. and its not running at 1920x1080 probably 1600x?. looks like game footage from a $700 dell. rejoice all you apple fan boys want. when your done come take a look at what a real gaming system costs and can do.

  • a 4850 runs $100 new. but to add it to your mac pro it will cost you about $300.

the cheapest Mac Pro is $2,499. and it comes with a 5770. for 2500? fuck that. you sheep are getting ripped right the fuck off.

also this vid is pointless with out benchmarks comparing the two.

  • Gaming depends on the GPU. It doesn't depend on whether it is a mac or a pc. Of course a mac is slower because it has slower GPU.

  • @chueey14

I wouldn't be so sure. When you Bootcamp Windows 7 on a Mac, it'll run games and high-end graphical applications MUCH better than Snow Leopard does. CNET proved it.

Either way, gaming on a Mac is like drag-racing with a Stationwagon. You can try, but everyone will laugh at you.

  • to do a Mac vs. Pc - Gaming is an insult. (to PC)

  • Really you play Red Alert 3 first? Fail. You brought that back up by playing Far Cry 2 but as i can see even with it being maxed as far as i can tell, the quality of the terrain sucks in comparison which is why OpenGL fails vs DX11

  • @sniperlif3 There would be no difference between the terrain in OpenGL vs. DirectX

  • @ZephMan13 Well if so, then it must be the camera not picking it up because mine looks far better. Also if you look at comparisons between, there is a big difference in quality, but it could verywell be 50+ plus people making BS results

  • @sniperlif3 You realize that Farcry 2 doesn't support DX11 right?

  • @ZephMan13 Yes i wasnt saying it did, i did word it badly i suppose. But still, in comparison, no video or personal use has ever had OpenGL be better than DX11 or even DX 10

  • @sniperlif3 It doesn't look any better, but it doesn't look any worse either. Its also faster and requires less hardware. And being open source instead of proprietary means that it can be used cross platform and not locked into Windows or Xbox.

  • I bet hes running boot camp LOL. Plus dont get me wrong macs can play 3 games in the market LOL.

  • Stoped smooking yet?

  • wow, you can play a few games on mac, so neat, show me a vid of you playing crysis on very high on that hunk of shit.. oh wait, macs are shit 4870 is average anyways, yet thats like the highest end of mac gaming right there.. trash.

PC owns macs so hard its embarrassing

  • pc sucks im getting an imac soon and ill never go back

  • @brandonhughes7 you realize that a pc with even better specs is much cheaper than a mac? you cant even replace the video/sounds cards in an imac without ddestroying the computer basically.

  • @ConnorWilsonG so i dont care i like mac better

  • @brandonhughes7 okay, that's fine. if you are serious about getting a mac, you should think about purchasing a program called crossover games, by codeweavers. this allows you to run many windows applications on your mac. You can check which applications are compatible with it on their site (codeweavers) If the application you want isn't compatible yet, There are frequent updates that will fix it. hope this helps. crossover games is $50 usd

  • @ConnorWilsonG dose it include microsoft office

  • @brandonhughes7 i dont think so, its more of a windows emulator.

  • this is gaming on the PC. its just that the PC is in a MAC case. c'mon people.

  • my 699$ laptop has a better video card. 5860 ati 1 gig overclocked, plus 4 gigs of ddr3 ram and core i 5, you mac cost you 2 grand, YOU FAIL

  • You have got to be kidding me. Honestly, how desperate are you? You are sitting here saying that Windows is shit in your other videos, yet you will use it to game and say that Mac's can game? WTF dude, honestly, pick a side. So you are saying, by putting up this video, that it is better to game on Windows than Mac? Cause I don't see any videos of you showing me how much better a Mac games than on PC, just putting it out there. Impressive that you can use Windows on a Mac though... not! Pathetic.

  • Congratulations. you have showed here how ridiculous Mac is for gaming.

You have to install Windows in your Mac (turn into a PC) to play games.

You showed too to everyone how OpenGl sucks on Mac.

So Mac Fanboy, you need our DirectX to play games.

Every video you post on youtube, you show even more how mac sucks.

Thanks for show the true to everyone.

Note: ATI HD 4850 is nothing comparating with the newest graphics card, even from 2009 graphics card, every PC Gamer here laugh at you, like me =)

  • @CaioHeil >turn into a PC see response @j800r >our DirectX Not yours, buddy. Microsoft is the sole owner and dictator of DirectX. All you have is their balls in your mouth. And you seem to enjoy that. >OpenGL sucks on the Mac Gee, I wonder why a program written specifically for "API A" won't just magically work with "API B". Obviously, it can only mean "API B" is somehow inferior, seeing as computers are made of magic and rainbows. >ATI HD 4850 Compare to DirectX Box 360's GPU.
  • Wtf, that water ripple lagged.... failed hard. Crysis that u ran looked like a bunch of flipping papers.

    Mac version HD 4870 = $377 (512MB) / PC HD 4870 = $125 (1gb)

  • Congratulations. The new Mac pro can now game at the level of a three year old PC laptop. You must feel so proud of that level of "innovation"

Mac, leading innovation. Or as I like to say: "Mac, so far ahead, they're behind"

  • I can buy all the stuff that makes up that imac and run these games as good on my pc and cheaper. The only thing that would make a mac a competitor to pc is its OS and dont give me that shit about apple making "Quality hardware" The companies that make the gpu's cpu's etc dont hire a punch of handcrafters to make "quality hardware" to apple . Apple gets the same hardware as we get from the market for our pc's

  • This is NOT gaming!! no game on a computer will ever be true gaming, go play atari or super nes to see what the real deal in gaming is!!!!!

Mac vs PC - PC Gaming and Why It Sucks as Much as Microsoft

i thought you said something similar in this other video of yours...

oh and by the way, that song is awesome!

  • @XDAMM and why is gaming on a computer not real? i think youre confused

  • @steven4570

Because, as good as computers are at gaming, they will never have the library available to console gamers. Unless one is running a laptop, the portability is limited, and the multiplayer capability is limited to online play (mainly). Graphics alone do not justify the SEVERE limitations ANY computer has when it comes to gaming. That's why consoles will always stay on top of that market.

  • @AndrewDeLong first off just because one has a bigger library doesnt mean the quality is better, lots of games that are popular now were once pc exclusive most if not all multiplayer is online in one way or another so dont see your point there, computers have severe limitations? dude how can you say that with a straight face. the reason consoles are on top is becuae they are cheap and inexpensive way to game, those who actually game pn pc see the benifits over consoles

  • @steven4570

Actually, a lot of gaming is still done IRL between friends and people in general. You can't host a multiplayer gaming party on a PC or Mac unless everyone has one. Online gaming IS NOT the only gaming out there. PC's lack portability and end up costing well too much in the end. Consoles don't need hardware updates and have a constant lifetime 3-4 times longer than ANY PC I have seen. In the end, portability, price, and playability always favor the console over the PC. Simple.

  • @AndrewDeLong it may not be the only but come on whether its xbox live or multiplayer gaming over servers its the majority of what people do, and at least 2 my knowledge though i may be wrong but you cant have console players playing pc gamers and vice versa, so everyone would have to have one anyways, and besides a gaming pc, its only purpose is not gaming, it can do everything else too, the hardware updates depend on what type of computer you have, if you bought a 500 dollar computer then yes

  • @steven4570

Well, I guess it honestly depends on what the individual gamer wants. Me? I want a decently powered PC for video editing (a PC, NOT a Mac). For gaming, I'm always on the move, so I like to game wirelessly if I do go online, but more often I'll be playing games at a friends house with some buds, which is where I prefer the portability of a console.

  • how much does that mac cost? cus im pretty sure that i can get a better computer with that price.

  • You do know that xp bottlenecks the amount of ram you have right? Means your shitty mac is bottlenecked. Oh um.. why don't you just use a pc to run this? a 4850 is a second class card, no way in hell can mac ever be on par with pc capabilities. Pcs have the option to go up to FOUR NVIDIA GEFORCE 480 GTX's. You'd have to be insane to buy that, but we have that option and we got many many many more.

Try opening a .exe file on a mac.

    it doesn't work.....

  • Mac's aren't made for gaming and will never be with the prices we see today. Only reason you play games on a mac is because you bought it for using it on something else, not gaming..

  • tought u hated first person shooter.....

  • dude you cant do bench marking without an approved benchmarking game and benchmarker

  • Lol running on windows haha.

  • he's showing that mac hardware is better foor gaming and yes windows is better for gaming but macintosh is better for everything except gaming but it will change soon and then mac is the best in everything!!!!!!!!

  • @jlo007007 except customization and upgradeability

  • congrats, u found a game that works on a mac

  • Wow people are so silly, obviously you can game with OS X, you just need to buy an extremely outdated version of windows, run it inside a virtual machine, hope the drivers all work, and enjoy the performance drop of running 2 operating systems at once! see how easy was that? (sarcasm btw)

  • what's the point of this video? All this is showing me is that, obsolete hardware can play old games..erm, duh? Other than the use low-end hardware, there's nothing about the macintosh in this video. Typical mac user trying to prove something after paying ridiculous prices for post-trend Garbage.

  • I bet all mac fanboys like to play rts games ; )

  • @extrapobro you mean the RTS game he has to load windows to play

    FAIL!

  • @plasmaglows dude learn grammar please,i don't know what the fuck did you just wrote...

  • @extrapobro Perhaps you need to learn to read, then learn to grammar. There is not incorrect grammar in that statement.

That 'mac fanboy' has to load WINDOWS in order to play the RTS game therefore nullifying any said 'fanboy' status.

The forgone conclusion from this? You're comment is FAIL

  • @plasmaglows whatever

  • @plasmaglows You had a giant sentence without any punctuations marks. I think you need to go back to preschool and learn how to use correct grammar. I am an English major; hence, I know a bit about the subject.

  • 4850? XD XD

  • What's the name of the first game that was shown?

  • @CoolioF14

command and conquer red alert 3

  • why buy mac and install windows??? you can build pc that cheaper and runs games and windows xp better...

  • no one said macs cant game...they just said how impractical it is because you can build a gaming pc for half the price that will run games 5x better

  • probably just an IGP i doubt it would beat a real ati 4850 on a real gaming machine

  • Apple can only use a special type of video card.. They either have to reduce the original size of the GPU, or just get an older GPU that is already outdated and being shitted on by NUMEROUS other GPU'S.. Also, to play games like these on an Apple, you NEED windows.. lol.. I know this may make me seem like some fan boy, but I'm not.. just stating facts, from the very little I have.. lol.. Apple products are good but are FAAAARR tooo overpriced for me..

  • @pussylicker24 Yeah true but normally mac buyers buy it for the mac aspects (eg designing, music creation etc etc) and it's just good to know that gaming is to a decent level as well. Of course Windows still dominates in the gaming area, but that's purely because games aren't developed on mac since the mac graphics aren't to a high enough standard.

  • @jellybean454 Mac graphics are more than up to standard, games are written for PC in DirectX not OpenGL and therefore have to be ported to the mac.

Games written in OpenGL run smooth as silk on any mac running os x

  • @plasmaglows Fair enough, I'm getting one of these badboys in the video in a couple months and want to make sure the gaming can be relatively up to standard :)

  • @jellybean454 DOnt........ The graphics card on this "Badboy" is old and outdated.... Its playing old games.... But for the price of this mac you can get one with a core i7 and a 5870.. and then some. 5870 is the best single gpu ati offers.. Dont get a mac.. If you want the standard though this vid was made last year.. Computer hardware become outdated quick...... Remember just 2 years ago when Dual cores was the standard.. Now its becoming to quads.....

  • @jellybean454

    Outdated. Big time.

  • @pussylicker24 You should perhaps learn a little about the core graphics language used in both operating systems before you comment on the nature of which cards are available and their inferiority

OS X does not support Direct X therefore updating to a new card that supports DX 10 with little or no enhancement to OpenGL would be a waste of time OpenGL has been proven to run the same content with half the memory of Direct X DX is microsofts DRM for games, no apple support & limited linux support.

  • @sabbathcrazy

Macs are massively overpriced, but not quite that much. Remember the 27" screen is 1k.

  • PC FTW

  • steam coming to mac april 2010 FTW

  • have fun playing a few selected titles.

  • @ playoffplaya

I guess Mac and PC can get along now because steam has every game out there but its still cheaper to build a gaming rig than buy a new mac every year though

  • @playoffplaya holy crap really ????

  • @playoffplaya So ? Apple is just apying companies just for money

  • @playoffplaya welcome to 5 years ago.

  • @playoffplaya Wow, finally. 7 years or so after it was released for Windows. How can you say FTW? More like EPIC FAIL! PC + Steam FTW!

  • @PCWarrior55 steam is also for mac dibshit

  • @muk546 Uh ya, kinda realize that, seeings as I have been using Steam for years and was with Steam when it released for Mac, 7 years after it was released for PC's, which is again, an epic fail. I swear you Mac people can't read or anything, cause I always seem to have to correct what you guys read of my posts, when it is very obvious what is meant. And still, PC + Steam FTW! Cause guess what? More games for PC still! I never said Steam wasn't available for Mac, "dibshit". Learn to read.

  • @PCWarrior55 your pathetic all those games for pc are shit the only reason people pc game is so they can steal all the games from bit torrent thats why i console game because im not an asshole like that stay off youtube and go to bittorrent(dot)com its where your kind belongs

  • @muk546 Oh man, what a good come back! Genius. Guess what buddy, all of the games you can play on the Mac are originally built for PC's, then adapted over. Oh, and about bit torrent. It's awesome that PC people are smart enough to be able to create something like that. And not just for illegal downloads either, cause download rates spike when using that. You know, I'm not gonna lie, I know tons of PC gamers, and none of them torrent games dumbass.

  • @muk546 And, by the way, guess what is the best selling console platform? Ya that's right, the PC based XBox 360. The Zune marketplace is on there, Windows Live Media Center. It's funny, cause I know a few Mac people who stand by and support Apple 100%, then go and buy a Microsoft XBox 360, and I wonder what goes on in that little brain of theirs. If PC games are shit, how come you can game at higher resolutions and frame rates than consoles? Explain that to me. And what about 3D gaming?

  • @muk546 Wow, no reply? You Mac fanboys are pathetic.

  • Can the iMac handle anything but 1066MHz DDR3?

    NO!!!!!!!!

Can the iMac properly fit a REAL graphics like a PCI-E GTX295 or equivalent Radeon?

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you swap the motherboard out of an iMac?

NO!!!!!!!!!! Even ATTEMPTING to do so will void the warranty, and there's no reason to anyways. On a high-end PC, swapping a board out is as easy as pie, when the time finally comes to take advantage of a new chipset, which won't be for YEARS if you bought powerful hardware to begin with.

  • @MaximusCerberus dude ty, someone els knows Macs suck

  • lol ya im pretty sure it can and why would u not want DDR3? you want something slower?

Fit real graphics? first of all its called a graphics card not graphics second of all the lenevo cant fit a GTX 295 and even if it could the power supply is way to low to power it

void the warranty? ok thats the same with the lenevo

congrats you have just contradicted yourself

  • @chrischris292

Uhhhhh, no, it can't. Go ahead and call Apple.

I had this same argument with another Macboy. HE called Apple, thinking he would get the best of me. He ended up apologizing to me. 1066Mhz.......that's it. First-gen, slow-as-fuck, shitty RAM.

And yes, the Lenovo CAN fit a GTX295, provided you've got the spare time and a good set of tools to swap out the components.

And no, changing out parts on the Lenovo is what the computer was DESIGNED for.

    Die choking :)

  • lol are u joking me where does it say that anywhere? i looked it up on the website there is nothing on it

and anyways even if it could the power supply on that computer woudnt be able to handle it

and im sorry u want DDR2

    lol get slower RAM

umm lets see ur apple comment doesnt have anything to do with my point

  • Let's see Apple utilize the six higher clock speeds of DDR3 RAM that are readily available for PC machines.....high performance RAM by REAL companies like OCZ and Corsair that are LIGHT YEARS ahead of Apple's slow-ass 1066Mhz DDR3.

Maybe next year they'll get 1333MHz. I'll be using 2200MHz with latency timings that embarrass anything a Mac can attempt.

And all you need to do is some RESEARCH on the Lenovo to know that EVERY single part can be swapped out if you have the time to do so.

  • once again easily upgradable

  • "Surprisingly, you can upgrade nearly every part of the A600's insides. Typical all-in-one upgradability--if any exists--is restricted to the memory or the hard drive. If you have determination and a screwdriver, and if you've read the provided upgrade guide, you can really get inside the A600 to make whatever customizations (or replacements) you desire. It's a wonderful "above and beyond" move by Lenovo, although it's not the only one."

    PC WORLD

    Die screaming :)

  • i would love to see your actual proof behind that

  • WTF it's an all-in-one not a fucking full-tower-pc man

  • I'm aware. But saying it's loaded with power is a ridiculous statement. Whether you can swap parts out or not is irrelevant. It's using outdated, poor hardware. Most of the price tag is for the screen, not the guts inside.

  • @MaximusCerberus , outdated and poor, can you be more dramatic.

    Latest and fastest, absolutely not.

More than adequate for most users except for maybe hardcore gamers and speed junkies, absolutely.

  • @MaximusCerberus, LOL

Who is the iMac targeted towards?

You think these individuals care about bus speeds that in real world apps are very small compared to how impressive they might look in specs?

If you look at the demographics for iMac users they aren't people that are upgrading every few years.

I have no issue ripping the machine for its deficiencies, but arguing it doesn't do things its not targeted for is just pointless.

  • ati + amd is for best gaming

mac no acept amd architecture -_-' pathetic...

    + hardware best gaming

    no os... mac shit :D

  • @CHARLY977 AMD? are you joking me

AMD has higher clock speeds for a lower price but it definitely isnt better for gaming at all...i use it though cuz its a lot cheaper

  • wow, my computer can play the games just as well, if not using screen capture software.

  • > Title: Mac vs. Pc

    > uses Windows

I fail to see the point in this video.

    also, stale video is stale

  • @atan0k mac hardware vs pc hardware

  • @atan0k because when you buy a mac you HAVE to buy the hardware that they provide and you cant upgrade, this is testing the screen resolution, G card, processor, and how it all ties in

  • @atan0k a Mac running Windows is still a Mac. the title isn't "OSX vs Windows"

  • @j800r Let me put it this way:

    Mac ⊂ PC

Also, contrary to what Microsoft would have you believe:

    PC↛Windows

  • whats that first game hes playing?

  • @fullean

Wow! Even MORE ambiguous, generic, pointless statements! I'm impressed by how much time you're willing to waste without forming a coherent point.

    CLAP! CLAP!

  • funny how none of your arguments dont even make sense

  • Funny now ALL of my arguments make PERFECT sense......you're just unable to grasp the concept.

Seriously...should I talk slower? Use smaller words? What part of my comment to you made "no sense?" It's 100% justified and backed up with common sense, facts and evidence.

    Wake up.

  • @MaximusCerberus lol ok all your arguments make "PEFECT" sense?

ok first of all im not the one that kept talking about the mac pro when i already told u before that thats not even for consumers. second of all in case you didnt realize im a dorm student. I need a computer that takes much less space and runs well. Talk slower? your typing you retard

i can respond whenever i want. its 100% justified? yes i want intergrated graphics from the all in one PC u should me lol and ur saying the mac is bad

  • Listen.....boy....

....I've been explaining everything with picture-perfect clarity for DAYS now. If you can't grasp the concept, that ain't my fault.

as for the iMac......if you don't have 10" of floor space to put a tower that contains some actual BALLS, as opposed to Apple's "i'll be obsolete in 8 months" hardware, then that also ain't my fault.

  • @MaximusCerberus

ummm "ill be obsolete in 8 months" ? ok im pretty sure the imac will last for a lot longer than that

umm lets see contains some actual balls? ok so ur computer contains balls

    great

    lol are u serious

i cant grasp the fact that ur telling me that i should get a PC with intergrated graphics a lower proc and a worse display instead of a iMac with a 27 inch screen a core i5 and a graphics card that can play games that i want such as cod4 or mw2 at 60 FPS or higher on high settings

  • @MaximusCerberus lol "perfect clarity" i dont see any clarity in that fact that your saying that the imac doesnt have balls

your arguments are filled with your personal opinions and the only facts you have given are more reasons to not buy another PC other than the iMac

yes i should buy an all in one with intergrated graphics

    your pathetic

  • @MaximusCerberus yea "grasp the concept"? grasp the concept of how the intergrated graphics is better than a ATI 4850? yea thats totally a "fact"

    maybe to u it is

lol yes it has been for days because u wont stop trolling

  • I never told you to buy a computer with integrated graphics. Where on Earth did you get that from?

I would NEVER buy a system with integrated graphics unless it was a laptop.......in which case it wouldn't be my primary system anyways. For the price of an iMac, I can build a Mac-slaughtering computer system that will trump an 8-Core Mac Pro twice over.

So yes, your iMac WILL be obsolete in 8 months. You're using inferior, outdated 1066Mhz DDR3 and cheap-ass $100, 512MB video cards.

  • @MaximusCerberus lmao where on earth did i get that from?

However, the Lenovo A600 IdeaCenter completely slaughters the iMac in technical specs"

lol you really dont get how they run do u?

lol yeah maybe for the dumbass that buys a new computer every 5 minutes

  • @chrischris292

And like I said, you COMPLETELY missed the point. The Lenovo is a machine in which EVERY SINGLE PART can be upgraded. You can't do that with an iMac. You're stuck with their integrated graphics card, and that's it.

With the Lenovo, you could slap a PCI-E video card in there, and you can even swap the motherboard out, allowing for ENDLESS customization and upgradability.

Don't get mad at me because you can't grasp the concept.

    You lose. Conversation OVER!

  • i lost? lol ok i dont see anywhere where u can upgrade the graphics card your a retard lol btw the iMac doesnt have an intergrated graphics card ATI 4850 isnt intergrated lol you really dont get computers do u do u even know what intergrated graphics are? lol swap out the mother board? ok u can do the same on the iMac swap out the graphics card u can do the same thing there is no actual feature for it on either one so there is no argument
  • Hey, do me a favor:

Lemme' know when you can successfully get a GTX295 into the iMac.

Call me back when Hell freezes over too.

Obviously you don't have the FIRST clue what the difference is between integrated cards and discrete cards, which is what the iMac offers. Now, let's see you put 1333MHz DDR3 RAM in an iMac.

It CAN'T BE DONE!!!! If you don't believe me, call Apple. I sure as hell did.

You need to STOP TALKING. You're only making an ass out of yourself.

  • look on the website there is nothing on that there

lol unless u open that urself in which any computer u can do that

  • great argument uve just proven that one u dont know anything about comptuers and two u are just pulling random ideas from ur head that places ur argument no where

lol i cant grasp the concept? what concept all your doing is pulling random aspects and trying to turn it around into ur argument which so far hasnt gotten you anyways

    conversation over? o please

if u wanted it to be over it owuld have been a long time ago

  • @MaximusCerberus wake up? wake up from what

your bullshit? yes i need to listen to this 40 year old that sits all day on his computer and trolls all over mac youtube videos

get off youtube and go somewhere

i dont see how convincing people that macs are useless helps anything. I dont know about you but im pretty sure a berkley undergrad can impact the world more than the 40 year old in the basement. Get over it seriously

  • @fullean

Hahahahaha!! Yes, don't even bother telling me HOW i'm 10 years behind (the silliest statement in existence).

  • Comment removed

  • I also might suggest that there is a BREAK between the Options screen and the actual gameplay.

For all we know, he could've set the options up really high, then lowered them for the actual video playback in an attempt to make it look as if his system is more powerful than it really is.

That's a theory......despite the fact that Far Cry 2 is running HORRIBLY on the settings he chose. My ASUS laptop eats this game for breakfast at full settings and full resolution at 60 FPS.

  • once again i have a mac not for GAMES....

you are either blind or ignorant

im pretty sure its a mix of both.

Not everyone wants a chunky laptop that has like 3 hours of battery life...

  • @chrischris292

AGAIN, you're missing the point! It's one thing to put a budget-level, $100 video card into a computer......if that's what you're paying for! Unfortunately, you're not! Apple overcharges! Even the 27" iMac is paired with a video card that can't take full advantage of its capabilities!

Now, what's going to happen in 8 months? 1GB video cards are already shipping on most new PCs and laptops! That means Apple is left behind AGAIN!

  • Exactly man! I can get a higher clocked Core i7 and a 1GB GPU and a 27" monitor for way less than this iMac costs. It's like, why buy a Mac if you want the best performance you can buy? Plus, your getting a two year old GPU and paying double for it. It's rediculous. Granted I own an iMac early 2009 model with ATI 4850 as well with Core 2 Duo though, and 24" screen. But still, I paid $2,500 for it. I could of got a PC and got 3 times the power for that price!

  • The 27" iMac is actually priced well according to the hardware inside the machine.

Unfortunately, all that money is for the 27" monitor. The hardware suffers, meaning that you'll only be able to take advantage of a monitor with that kind of high resolution on a native desktop environment.

Sure, it's good for professional photographers and video editors........but........that's NOT who this Mac is targeted towards! 98% of consumers are getting shafted for a big monitor and shitty-ass hardware.

  • If I'm going to buy a 27" monitor with 2560x1440 resolution.......ESPECIALLY an All-In-One configuration, then it had better have some beastly hardware in there to take proper advantage of it.

But in 6 months, the meager hardware in the iMac is oging to become the butt of all computer jokes. That's Apple for you.....always lagging behind in everything except the fashion fad or design gimmick.

  • @ViciousDave4Life double the gpu those things cost 70 dollars now days (depends what specs)

  • umm ok well thats all i need

i pay more for a quality PC thats ALL IN ONE

    your pc isnt

i want a clean easy computer that runs well...its pretty simple to understand

  • First of all, I don't own an All-In-One....nor would I EVER buy one! There's no way I'd fork out money for such a meager and underpowered system.

However, the Lenovo A600 IdeaCenter completely slaughters the iMac in technical specs, PLUS you can upgrade literally every single part in the machine...something that can't be done with the iMac, or the majority of All-In-Ones.

So, your "quality PC" is anything but. You paid more for less....something all Mac customers do.

  • @MaximusCerberus

im sorry but you really are very very ignorant

i dont know how many comments i have posted about the same thing that you just dont understand

i dont need powerful tech specs for a lower cost

i want an all in one that runs a well and can vid and photo edit quickly and can run mac os x and windows

i dont see your point in your argument?

i already said people have their own personal tastes but i dont know why you keep repeating the exact same thing over and over again
