At Micky D's in Md there is a law that says employees are not permitted to touch customers however it is inexcusable that they have reorded and did not call the police asap. Regardless of that, I have a right to ask a man to leave the women's restroom, given that men often enter the women's restroom to sexually harass/assault women. It has happened to me. If I think you're a man, I will be afraid and ask you to leave. If you tell me you're actually a woman, I will have no problem. Why is it wrong for me to say something?

You should examine why you jump to conclusions like that, it wasn't a hate crime. No, that doesn't make the beating okay, not at all. But there is a significant difference in what led to the crime; her being 'different' (trans in this case) or a bitchfight over a guy.

Either people are so used to acts of violence now, it's become another "show" to watch, or they don't think they're able to stand up to these people? Unfortunately, this is a racial issue. Its vile and has "hate crime" all over it. (Hate crime is a stupid way of saying racial, ethnic, religious or gender assault) There was one McDonalds employee that was black that tried to stop it, but could have made more of an attempt. I'm a femme lesbian, but I have butch friends and I'm an advocate for the transgender community. Regardless of that, I have a right to ask a man to leave the women's restroom, given that men often enter the women's restroom to sexually harass/assault women. It has happened to me. If I think you're a man, I will be afraid and ask you to leave. If you tell me you're actually a woman, I will have no problem. Why is it wrong for me to say something?

Why get mad at me for thinking that you are a man, if you look masculine? If you are very masculine and you go into a woman's restroom, the feminine women might become afraid. It is not because they are discriminating against you for your gender presentation, but because women are afraid of men in public restrooms.

The woman who took my call seemed genuine in her concern for the woman's well being and told me that all of the employees that were working at the time of the incident have been terminated. Unfortunately, this is a racial issue. Its vile and has "hate crime" all over it. (Hate crime is a stupid way of saying racial, ethnic, religious or gender assault) There was one McDonalds employee that was black that tried to stop it, but could have made more of an attempt. The most disturbing fact is, all of the employees that I saw were black and laughing. Had it been reversed, the trans being black and two white girls beating on her, I know this would not have happened. It is what it is.
