FFXIII is good in it's own right. If it wasn't constantly compared to FFVII it would be considered a good game.

@GhostReconGuy I'd have to disagree. I personally found VII to be, while a good game from a gameplay side, annoying from a story side. It took good turns, but it was centered around the most whiny, emo, self-important anus' in the world. XIII, compared to VII, is the same story wise, but gameplay wise, it falls flat on its face, with the combat system being near impossible to suck at, the level-up system being too linear, and the level design being...too linear.

I got the Rub Rabbits on the DS, the prequel to Feel the Magic XX/XY also on the DS. Amazing and interesting pair of games.

For FF13 I wish you great fun, just don't have expectations, because it's unlike any other RPG. The first half of the game is extremely linear and there's literally nothing but story and combat, and marveling at the beauty of the scenery.

If you wanna put out more videos while keeping up with quality, perhaps go in the middle and do a video a month for Gaming Historian? Or maybe one every two months while including a footnote in-between? That'd be six Gaming Historians and six Footnotes a year. This gives you plenty of time to work on them while also giving you time for personal life.

In any case, love the work you do and appreciate your efforts every time.

Final Fantasy XIII is linear, but entretaining. The Battle system is great, and that makes it fun to play. Not as good as previous FF games, but it's nice on it's own right. Give it a change

Have you ever thought about doing reviews about lesser known games? Dragon Quest 8 for example. I knew there was a game called Dragonquest, but 8 of them? Reviews shouldn't be as hard as history lessons, seeing as you can just stick to a few key notes which you take with you through each game. Plus if you put on ads on your videos you might even make some cash with it.
