• Noone has a copy of the original song with Lia and Yuna do they?

    I can't find it anywhere :(

  • ....Just curious...I really wonder how they sound like if they sing english heavy metal or rap >.<''' Though I still prefer japanese...

  • DK

WHAT IS THAT CRAP TURN IT OFF

  • actually I knew what it was, I just really hate miku and other mainstreams

  • I love these two together.

  • *sings along* SIMPLY MY HEART.... xD

  • great... strange sound though

    otherwise it,s AWESOME

  • I always hear Rin sing Japanese songs but I wonder if there's any in english (Since there's a rumor that she can also sing in English) Sorry if this is out of topic.

I wish there's a replay feature here in youtube, this one is worth listening for more than an hour.

  • Yup, they can sing in English, but it takes skills to do since the vocaloids were made to sing in Japanese~ There are some vocaloids however who ARE made to sing in both English and Japanese~ If you're interested, you can search it up : )

  • what kind of game? O.o i thougt there is only vocaloid

  • I believe YenriStar and ShadowTailed are talking about a game called "Galaxy Fraulein Yuna". There is also an anime - this song is the theme of either the game, or the anime (to be honest, I'm not sure which, but I believe it's of the anime). Vocaloid (version 2) is a program (not a game), which is making two voices (Miku and Rin) sing the lyrics along with a MIDI in this video.

  • nice! i loved yuna to bad the games didnt come out in the US like the movies did ^^ yuna ftw!!

  • ... The games are in the US. They have always been. You buy them on the website.

You can buy it on Amazon too, but the game is $250.00.

  • holy shit! thats alot!

  • Yeah, but you have the freedom to do whatever you want with the songs once you have them, Music videos, anime, ect. On the website it clearly says that you can use the songs for whatever :\ So it's worth it.

  • Could you please post a link?

  • this is my favorite vocaloid song.

  • mine too lolz

  • WOW, what a rare song to come across! I thought I was the only person in the world who liked this song! You did a good job!

Alas, Miku and Rin are still amateurs, and just can't hope to have the same style and heavenly harmony that Yuna and Polylina have, but this was a real treat to hear. I love this song!

  • awesome artworks, and a great song!

  • Kawaii

  • OMIGOSH! Galaxy Fraulein Yuna! I haven't heard this song in forever! x3

  • Oops. I accidentally rated it 2/5. I meant 5/5.

  • Wooow did you make this? It's really cute- and so nice that your helping people out here xD I can see from the comments before.

    Anyways, greeeat job!!!!!

  • Well, I didn't make the MIDI, but I found the lyrics and got the voices to sing along. Also, as it happens, my brother and I made the electric guitar soundfont. xD

I'm glad you like it. =)

  • Thanks for this :)

At first I thought they were completely the same and was confused, but this helped clear it up. There are subtle differences.

By the way, you must have the box or something for the Kagamine Rin/Len Vocaloid software, right? What's the original color of Rin's shorts? I want to make sure I have the correct info for my upcoming cosplay.

  • Please ignore my previous message, I deleted it - I was looking at fan work.

Officially, they are BLACK, with a yellow&orange belt (triangular/zigzag design) held up by black loops in the fabric. There is a silver clip with a piece of fabric attached to it, at the top front left of the shorts. The fabric is the same yellow&orange zigzag design as the belt, and the fabric appears to re-join to the shorts at the top back right.

  • Ahh, okay :) Thanks a lot for the help~

  • this is really cute!!^^

  • How do you download and use this program?

do you acually have to sing something and edit the voices?

does this program cost anything to download?

im sorry i have so many questions but im very enthusiastic about vocaloid. i love hatsune miku ^_^

  • Well, the program isn't free. You can order Vocaloid2 (with Miku) from Crypton Future Media (the creator of the Miku voice)'s web site.

No, you don't sing anything at all, that's the main appeal. =D You just type lyrics and create notes (or import tracks from MIDI files).

To download... well, there are torrents doing the round.

No problem about the questions, and I understand your enthusiasm. ^^

  • how much did it cost for you to download?

    torrents? what are those? -_-''

is there a website to go to? whats its name?

...sorry again i like to ask questions...

  • Miku (i.e. with Vocaloid2) costs 15,750 yen, which is about £74.23 or $148.04.

Torrents are a way of sharing files directly between users' computers (rather than using a main web server). There is a lot of info about them around on the Internet, but I think Wikipedia has an article which explains it pretty well.

However, download things using torrents is free, and obtaining Vocaloid2 without paying isn't really legal... =/

  • u have to buy the program again after buying it with one singer?

ex. getting miku, would there be a cheaper version just for the singers instead of singer and program?

  • @SirDuckar: I know what you mean, and I'm pretty sure that there is no cheaper version available. The voice comes on a CD which simply includes the latest version of the program (or perhaps the version of the program which existed when this voice was created). It's really the voice which is where most of the money goes towards rather than the program, though.

  • cool 8D

  • who is Hatsune Miku is she from and anime or what

  • Miku is - well...

There is a program called Vocaloid (by Yamaha), which 'sings' to music you compose and lyrics which you type. It makes vocals for your music. Miku is the name of the first voice in a so-called 'character voice' series made for Vocaloid2 by a third-party (I think) company called Crypton. The original voice for Miku was performed by singer Saki Fujita (family name last). A personification of Miku was made, used on the packaging for the install CD, and much fan-art's been made.

  • hehe lol cool wao tumbs dow 2 lol sry if this was a bad comment but I really wanted to know ^^)tnx hehe take care byeee

  • No worries. I've seen many people who thought Miku was from an anime get thumbs-downs, lol.

  • '')arigato

  • How can you tell if someone isn't posting up pics from an anime but from this Vocaloid thing?

  • From the look of these 2 characters, I guess. Although there was some talk of some kind of anime being made out of it. Whether it was just a kind of promotional one-off anime, I don't know. It might even have been made already - I'm really getting out of touch with Vocaloid now. ><

  • Personally, I know nothing at all about this Vocaloid thing. I just learned about it about three days ago.

  • i know it's not a anime but still don't no wat it really is. can somebody or u tell me. i really wanna no. it's very confusing but i lik ur video.

  • Vocaloid is a program made by Yamaha for generating singing voices with a computer. The voices are based on samples of existing voice actors or singers. The program has been around for quite some time, but only since Crypton created the Character Voice series, has its popularity suddenly boomed.

Hatsune Miku, the first in the series and for Vocaloid2, is the voice name. One original image was made by KEI to illustrate it. Probably at least 99% of the Miku images you see everywhere are fan-made.

  • so cool! *favorites* *rates 5 star*

  • @SuperAnimeFan4422 5 stars..... *cries*

  • Great job on this, sounds great! Even without you editing it. Really catchy.

  • Yes, the original MIDI was very well-made (I didn't make it). ;)

  • リンいらなくね?

  • はは、リンの声はいらないかも知らないけど、リンのイメージ(正しい言葉が分からない><)は可愛いだから...

    えーと...

    歌えないボーカロイドにならせましょう。

  • x___X hehe what sry

  • lolaly13: "x___X hehe what sry"

I was using my pathetic Japanese 'skills' to try to respond to Y2YYY's comment.

He said, "We don't need Rin, do we?".

I tried to say, "Well, we might not need her voice, but her image is cute, so... erm... let's make her into a Vocaloid which has no voice." ;P

  • lol hehe

  • もっと改良の余地はあるけど、悪くない

This vid is okay though you can still improve some notes

  • Thanks. =)

Actually, I didn't edit any notes at all. I just typed the lyrics on Vocaloid2 to a MIDI which I downloaded - I didn't even create the MIDI. I just created the video and edited the audio from different MIDI players + Vocaloid2.

The idea was to get a song with Miku and Rin singing together (but not at the same time), so that you can hear the differences between the 2 voices.

  • OH! I can hear the difference!!...

  • I love it, I wanna hear more ;-;

  • Technology is truly amazing, ain't it? :P

  • Wait- this is purely computer???

  • Yessir it is.

  • OMFG. *Faints*

    That's awesome!

  • They sound the same to me..I own Vocaloid2 so maybe i cant tell

  • Really? Miku's is more soft while Rin's seems more enthusiastic. It's especially obvious with high notes - it sounds like more of an effort for Rin to hit them than for Miku to (that's more obvious in the RBO Rin-Style video I uploaded more recently).

  • You must be tone-deaf

  • You must be crazy if u can't really perceive the differences in each voice.

  • I keep seeing these characters, what are they from?

  • These are fan-made illustrations of Miku Hatsune and Rin Kagamine, who are computer-generated singing voices. They are based off 2 real human voices, but you control their pitch, dynamics, breathiness, lyrics etc using a computer program called Vocaloid2. The voices you hear singing here are the CG voices Miku and Rin.

There are literally thousands of fan-made pics of the Vocaloid2 characters. :D

  • Great. That's all I could say.

  • cool
