I always hear Rin sing Japanese songs but I wonder if there's any in english (Since there's a rumor that she can also sing in English) Sorry if this is out of topic.
I wish there's a replay feature here in youtube, this one is worth listening for more than an hour.
Yup, they can sing in English, but it takes skills to do since the vocaloids were made to sing in Japanese~ There are some vocaloids however who ARE made to sing in both English and Japanese~ If you're interested, you can search it up : )
I believe YenriStar and ShadowTailed are talking about a game called "Galaxy Fraulein Yuna". There is also an anime - this song is the theme of either the game, or the anime (to be honest, I'm not sure which, but I believe it's of the anime). Vocaloid (version 2) is a program (not a game), which is making two voices (Miku and Rin) sing the lyrics along with a MIDI in this video.
Yeah, but you have the freedom to do whatever you want with the songs once you have them, Music videos, anime, ect. On the website it clearly says that you can use the songs for whatever :\ So it's worth it.
WOW, what a rare song to come across! I thought I was the only person in the world who liked this song! You did a good job!
Alas, Miku and Rin are still amateurs, and just can't hope to have the same style and heavenly harmony that Yuna and Polylina have, but this was a real treat to hear. I love this song!
Well, I didn't make the MIDI, but I found the lyrics and got the voices to sing along. Also, as it happens, my brother and I made the electric guitar soundfont. xD
At first I thought they were completely the same and was confused, but this helped clear it up. There are subtle differences.
By the way, you must have the box or something for the Kagamine Rin/Len Vocaloid software, right? What's the original color of Rin's shorts? I want to make sure I have the correct info for my upcoming cosplay.
Please ignore my previous message, I deleted it - I was looking at fan work.
Officially, they are BLACK, with a yellow&orange belt (triangular/zigzag design) held up by black loops in the fabric. There is a silver clip with a piece of fabric attached to it, at the top front left of the shorts. The fabric is the same yellow&orange zigzag design as the belt, and the fabric appears to re-join to the shorts at the top back right.
Miku (i.e. with Vocaloid2) costs 15,750 yen, which is about £74.23 or $148.04.
Torrents are a way of sharing files directly between users' computers (rather than using a main web server). There is a lot of info about them around on the Internet, but I think Wikipedia has an article which explains it pretty well.
However, download things using torrents is free, and obtaining Vocaloid2 without paying isn't really legal... =/
@SirDuckar: I know what you mean, and I'm pretty sure that there is no cheaper version available. The voice comes on a CD which simply includes the latest version of the program (or perhaps the version of the program which existed when this voice was created). It's really the voice which is where most of the money goes towards rather than the program, though.
There is a program called Vocaloid (by Yamaha), which 'sings' to music you compose and lyrics which you type. It makes vocals for your music. Miku is the name of the first voice in a so-called 'character voice' series made for Vocaloid2 by a third-party (I think) company called Crypton. The original voice for Miku was performed by singer Saki Fujita (family name last). A personification of Miku was made, used on the packaging for the install CD, and much fan-art's been made.
From the look of these 2 characters, I guess. Although there was some talk of some kind of anime being made out of it. Whether it was just a kind of promotional one-off anime, I don't know. It might even have been made already - I'm really getting out of touch with Vocaloid now. ><
Vocaloid is a program made by Yamaha for generating singing voices with a computer. The voices are based on samples of existing voice actors or singers. The program has been around for quite some time, but only since Crypton created the Character Voice series, has its popularity suddenly boomed.
Hatsune Miku, the first in the series and for Vocaloid2, is the voice name. One original image was made by KEI to illustrate it. Probably at least 99% of the Miku images you see everywhere are fan-made.
Actually, I didn't edit any notes at all. I just typed the lyrics on Vocaloid2 to a MIDI which I downloaded - I didn't even create the MIDI. I just created the video and edited the audio from different MIDI players + Vocaloid2.
The idea was to get a song with Miku and Rin singing together (but not at the same time), so that you can hear the differences between the 2 voices.
Really? Miku's is more soft while Rin's seems more enthusiastic. It's especially obvious with high notes - it sounds like more of an effort for Rin to hit them than for Miku to (that's more obvious in the RBO Rin-Style video I uploaded more recently).
These are fan-made illustrations of Miku Hatsune and Rin Kagamine, who are computer-generated singing voices. They are based off 2 real human voices, but you control their pitch, dynamics, breathiness, lyrics etc using a computer program called Vocaloid2. The voices you hear singing here are the CG voices Miku and Rin.
There are literally thousands of fan-made pics of the Vocaloid2 characters. :D
Noone has a copy of the original song with Lia and Yuna do they?
I can't find it anywhere :(

How do you download and use this program?
do you acually have to sing something and edit the voices?
does this program cost anything to download?
im sorry i have so many questions but im very enthusiastic about vocaloid. i love hatsune miku ^_^
Mlollipop 3 years ago
Well, the program isn't free. You can order Vocaloid2 (with Miku) from Crypton Future Media (the creator of the Miku voice)'s web site.
No, you don't sing anything at all, that's the main appeal. =D You just type lyrics and create notes (or import tracks from MIDI files).
To download... well, there are torrents doing the round.
No problem about the questions, and I understand your enthusiasm. ^^
SomethingUnreal 3 years ago
how much did it cost for you to download?
torrents? what are those? -_-''
is there a website to go to? whats its name?

u have to buy the program again after buying it with one singer?
ex. getting miku, would there be a cheaper version just for the singers instead of singer and program?
