I wanted to do a video about Denna and Richard after reading the book, their relationship is so intense in it, but when I watched the episode again to do my video I was so frustrated because it's not the same thing and I couldn't show what I had in mind, but you did!

The show's still amazing of course but after reading I wish we had gotten to see more of the real stories. I think we would have more luck fighting for a movie instead actually!

How in the world did you combine these clips to tell the actual story in the book, maybe you should share your skills with the LOTS producer. I love how you put together Kahlan leading the Galean army clips, and the Gratch stuff, cuz I love Gratch, but most especially the place between worlds scene Denna takes Richard and Kahlan to. How long did this take you?
haha, I know the feeling. I would never have the patience to do this though. I have windows movie maker, and a slow computer, so it freezes after about 2 minutes of clips and transitions. Still great vid though. It makes me want to hassel with my editor again just to make one like it.
It's in the 13th episode of season 1. It wasn't really Richard and Kalhan, but the ghost of an other seeker and confessor who taked their body to come back in the world of livings. They loved each other too and wanted to live their love freely because they could'nt in their past live.

That prophecy in particular leads to a lot of powerful reactions, as well. I can't remember the entirety of it, but it's a powerful moment in the books.
That's an amazingly powerful prophecy, for the impact it has on the characters, and the readers as well. I can't remember all of it, but I seem to remember there being more to it, something about it occuring on the first day of winter. I could be wrong though.
Well--- actually I have NO idea if Gratch (or Warren & Verna for that matter) are going to be in s2. This vid is totally fanmade... all that you see is manipped. Nothing is real, lol. This is faithfully based on the book, I doubt season 2 will be *this* dependant on the series, sorry.
I was a die-hard book fan and refused to watch season 1. But seeing this trailer got me interested in catching up. I loved Stone of Tears. It really tugged at your emotions.
As for the show, I have to tell you: it's awesome. I won't lie to you, it's REALLY different from TG's series... they changed a lot of stuff & such, but it's a fantastic show. The good thing about them being different it's that you never know what's going to happen... it doesn't follow truthfully the books for everything so every turn is full of surprises (most of which are fantastic). Season 2 is starting in a month & I'm really looking forward to it.
Although there will be deviations from the Stone of Tears book canon, and some original elements (as was the case with season one and WFR), it seems that many of the features of the second book are being included in the upcoming season.
I can't wait to see the next season... whatever they may or may not include. It seems like there'll also be elements of Blood of the Fold, which is cool =D
a question. whos warren, eragon, if so, i don't like it, i imagined him to be like pale as white as edward in twilight since he is described in the book as a mole since he hardly goes out of the palace
Yeah...Eragon's supposed to be Warren. It's not my favorite choice either. I didn't imagine him pale as a sheet, but a little bit scrawnier than Ed Speelers is. A bit like an older version of Alex Pettyfer... But Eragon was the only one at my disposal. I still haven't found another actor that could better impersonate him. Let's hope the show rushes into casting a Warren for season 2 so that I'll never have to worry about chosing another one myself =P
That's what I was thinking throughout the Season 1; I'm glad that they're surprising us with awesome stuff like Listener (and Mirror xD), but now I realised I'm also dying to know how it would be like to *see* some of the stuff I've read. I'm sure the actors would do a great job. :-)
Yeah, I know the feeling. Sometimes I want things to be different, but then I think that we'll be missing some great characters.... so I'm a bit confused on that, lol. I think that, unless they make Richard marry Cara & kill off Kahlan (which I doubt, lol), I will love ANYTHING they do with the show =D I can't wait for the next season! i am sad that the series did not stick completely to the 1st book, but i understand why they couldn't do that. i just wish they kept Darken Rahl's hair and his habit of licking his fingers all the time in the story. that was the way he was and it was funny.
I suggest to watch it EVEN if you read the books. I must be honest, you *might* be disappointed, but only if you expect it to be the same as them the books.
If you consider it an almost completely different entity, you will be just fine =)
To be honest, i think the series should be redone to fit with the book better. But the current series is fucking the best!! Even if it has virtually no relevance at all to the book =)
can't say that I agree with Krazy, that the show is bad, because I actualy like the show. Though they took man liberties with story, the heart of the characters remains the same. However, I can agree that dispite the fact that I like the show, it's nothing compared to the books. The Wizards First Rule, was beyond a doult, one of the best books I ever read. And though none of the other books where quite as good, they where never bad.
I agree, if you read my previews comment (I'm too lazy to rewrite it ;D), you will know why.
I *loved* WFR it's an amazing book & probably the best of the series. My fav is Stone of Tears, because I love Kahlan & then there are FotF & TotW because of the Richard/Kahlan - Warren/Verna stories, BUT as long as plot & storyline are concerned the first is the most completed & interesting.
I love the show & unless they make Cara wed Richard, nothing's gonna change that =)
Although it cannot be like Stone of Tears (they can't separate the three major characters of a show, it would kill it) I believe LotS season 2 is going to be awesome nonetheless.
It's going to be fresh & new, with many surprises. Something that I hate about having read the books before watching a show/movie & vice versa is that I'm always going to be spoiled. I know EXACLTY what's going to happen; w/ LotS it's not like that. I can't wait for s2, even if it's not like Stone of Tears =)

The show is awesome, it's absolutely *not* like the book, the only thing exactly like them it's Kahlan (not the background story, but the character per se).
You should try & give it a shot, because it is worth it. The only thing you have to do, while watching, is think that it's something new & not say every 2 mins "this was not in the book" =)
ahah, it took me a week an a half to download the LotR Extended Edition because my friggin' DVDRip wouldn't work, lol. But at least they were useful =D

There are only 11 main books and 1 short story called "Debt of Bones", about Zed. The foreign editions were divided, mainly because the books were too long, most of them clocking in at about 800 + pages.

Yeah...Eragon's supposed to be Warren. It's not my favorite choice either. I didn't imagine him pale as a sheet, but a little bit scrawnier than Ed Speelers is. A bit like an older version of Alex Pettyfer... But Eragon was the only one at my disposal. I still haven't found another actor that could better impersonate him. Let's hope the show rushes into casting a Warren for season 2 so that I'll never have to worry about chosing another one myself =P

That's what I was thinking throughout the Season 1; I'm glad that they're surprising us with awesome stuff like Listener (and Mirror xD), but now I realised I'm also dying to know how it would be like to *see* some of the stuff I've read. I'm sure the actors would do a great job. :-)

Yeah, I know the feeling. Sometimes I want things to be different, but then I think that we'll be missing some great characters.... so I'm a bit confused on that, lol. I think that, unless they make Richard marry Cara & kill off Kahlan (which I doubt, lol), I will love ANYTHING they do with the show =D I can't wait for the next season! Maybe it'll clear my ideas, lol.

It's from "The Ring of the Nibelungs". That scene was very similar to how I pictured Tanimura, but my idea of the Palace was very Hogwarts like, lol.

i am sad that the series did not stick completely to the 1st book, but i understand why they couldn't do that. i just wish they kept Darken Rahl's hair and his habit of licking his fingers all the time in the story. that was the way he was and it was funny.

For those of you whom liked the Legend of the Seeker but have nver read The Sword of Truth, I HIGHLY recomend that you do. You won't be dissapointed.

I suggest to watch it EVEN if you read the books. I must be honest, you *might* be disappointed, but only if you expect it to be the same as them the books.
If you consider it an almost completely different entity, you will be just fine =)

can't say that I agree with Krazy, that the show is bad, because I actualy like the show. Though they took man liberties with story, the heart of the characters remains the same. However, I can agree that dispite the fact that I like the show, it's nothing compared to the books. The Wizards First Rule, was beyond a doult, one of the best books I ever read. And though none of the other books where quite as good, they where never bad.

I agree, if you read my previews comment (I'm too lazy to rewrite it ;D), you will know why.
I *loved* WFR it's an amazing book & probably the best of the series. My fav is Stone of Tears, because I love Kahlan & then there are FotF & TotW because of the Richard/Kahlan - Warren/Verna stories, BUT as long as plot & storyline are concerned the first is the most completed & interesting.
I love the show & unless they make Cara wed Richard, nothing's gonna change that =)

Although it cannot be like Stone of Tears (they can't separate the three major characters of a show, it would kill it) I believe LotS season 2 is going to be awesome nonetheless.
It's going to be fresh & new, with many surprises. Something that I hate about having read the books before watching a show/movie & vice versa is that I'm always going to be spoiled. I know EXACLTY what's going to happen; w/ LotS it's not like that. I can't wait for s2, even if it's not like Stone of Tears =)

I really wish they made movies (or tv show) about these books that are actually accurate.
The one that I saw was really disgusting n disturbing, it almost made me ashamed I watched the first 5 mins of it before turning it off.

Thanks! The books *are* amazing, but the show you're talking about is what made me read them.
The show is awesome, it's absolutely *not* like the book, the only thing exactly like them it's Kahlan (not the background story, but the character per se).
You should try & give it a shot, because it is worth it. The only thing you have to do, while watching, is think that it's something new & not say every 2 mins "this was not in the book" =)

Well, it's kind of complicated. They DO get together, but only by means of the spirits. They meet in a place between worlds, not in ours.
They will reuinite for good in Blood of the Fold.

There are only 11 main books and 1 short story called "Debt of Bones", about Zed. The foreign editions were divided, mainly because the books were too long, most of them clocking in at about 800 + pages.
