@trx1961 I'm not sure, there's no need for offroading or steep hills in Holland (since it's as flat as a pancake lol and everything is more or less tarmacced) so that design is probably best suited
Unfortunate little surprise at the 45 and 46 second mark. Very cool seeing hundreds and hundreds of bikes racked like that.... but I bet ONE guy isn't a happy biker that day. :-(
@SpankieInDaHouse 1 or maybe 2 I think. If you have a station bike. (a station bike is an old-looking bike meant for at a station near your school, for after you take the train there)
why can't my country (Bahamas) be like this?? we're an archipelago with only 300,000+ people yet EVERYBODY'S got a damn car. and yes traffic sucks. tell someone you're gonna by a bike and they look at you like you're the planet zegg.
This is wrong! Amsterdam needs strip malls and Walmarts and gas stations and 7-11's. How can anyone feel at home living with bicycles? They are a childs toy adults need to leave in their 2 car garages except to drive them to parks that have parking close by. Where are all the helmets? How can anyone ride a bicycle without a helmet? This is so wrong :-)
Believe me we have gas stations... and things like wallmart en 7-11. But Holland is very small and tiny (distances included). And we don't have helmets because traffic is completely addapted to bikers. We have laws that say that when a car hits a biker the car is automaticly to blame no matter what the biker did. And we have along almost every road a special bike road so thats why nobody wears helmets(except for 4 year olds).
So remember kids everything is smaller in Holland.XD
Most American bicycle riders accept they are second fiddle to automobiles. Our culture sees bicycles as radical behavior. Your safer to drive your automobile than wear a pretty helmet and pretend to be safe on an American street :-(
No man, you get a free exercise while you get to work, or go shopping. It is so much better for the invorenment, and it's so cheap! No gas to pay and everyone here drives a bike so well(and we have separate roads for bikes) that you don't need a helmet. The world and people would be a lot healthier if everyone road a bike! And remember, our country isn't that big, so taking your car is sometimes a wast since your quicker on a bycicle.
why r most bike MAMACHARI style bike???

The bicycle stands are pretty empty over there.
At my station there always full, that irritates me.
