  • would you also be able to email me the website where you bought the extension tube? I am wanting to shoot three gun competitions with the sa-20 and need the extra rounds but no one makes the extension mag. i found the website to the shop you sent it.. that would be awesome if you could send me the link for the extension tube though kdneisius@yahoo.com

    thanks :D

    Dea

  • @aussieaddict122 E-Mail sent. I hope you enjoy it. I think getting this made is well worth the money. Be ready, if you are going to tackle this project yourself, there is a bit of work involved...

  • Thank you very much.

  • Scott;

Great info and very well explained. Could you send me the info on where you purchased the tube extension? I'd certainly appreciate it. I, like you, think the 2 shots is well worth the money.

Thanks and have a great day.

    Kidd

  • @KiddBlues Thank you very much. I will send you a message on YouTube with the information. Best wishes!

  • Hey Scott, It is Scott right. I polished the chamber, and lubed the gun up with TW-25, I bought some 1oz ammo but found I did not need to. The gun now runs everything. question, did you use the same cap for the mag extension, or a different cap. would you be inclined to have another one made and sell it. obviously more than your cost of 140.00$, I also need or am looking for a collapsible stock for this gun. I don't know if ATI makes one or not, have not researched that fully yet. Thanks, Pat

  • @darknightconsulting Pat, I am happy to hear your SA-20 is up & running. As far as collapsible stocks...I'm not certain anyone makes one for it yet. The magazine extention came as one unit (cap & extention). I will send you an e-mail with where to buy the one I used, along with the machine shop who did the work. I am hoping someone jumps on the ball and starts making accessories for this shotgun soon. Take care & have a great New Year!

  • That's a beautiful piece you got there :)

  • @TheOneGrungelife Thank you very much!

  • Hey, did you have any issues with feeding right out of the box, just went through 25 rounds, and was not able to feed three round in a row at all. kinda ticked for a out of the box gun. Thanks, was possibly the wal mart Federal 2.5 dram 7.5 shot. great mods on yours and will follow suit if we get the gun to work.

  • @darknightconsulting The first rounds I shot through the SA-20 were slugs and they cycled perfect. The low-brass 2 3/4 birdshot from Walmart did not have enough power to cycle the bolt, so I had to manually charge it after each shot. Therefore, I have found that only high-brass loads cycle through my SA-20 without issue. Thank you & best of luck with your Mossberg.

  • I just purchased the sa-20 and I was wondering if they was any substantial difference between the standard and the tactical model besides the picatinny rail?

  • like your setup.

  • @shadowalker1776 Thank you!

  • neat set up!

  • do you have any trouble with light winchester loads? like the bulk 100 rd box of 7/8 oz? im gonna get a bantam model for my lady and dont want something that wont cycle what she will want to use for skeet shooting.

  • @BionicleArm I am glad you asked! I forgot to mention that in my video. Yes, it does NOT like the bulk Winchester low-brass 2 3/4 loads (like the ones you can get from Walmart). It will fire them, but they don't have enough juice to cycle the bolt. I found some 2 3/4 high brass 7 1/2 shot that worked great and doesn't have much recoil at all. Remember, this is a gas operated firearm, so a good portion of the recoil is absorbed there. Thank you!

  • @TangoDownProduction thanks for the response. it seems to be hit or miss with them. some people say they go to academy and get the bulk box and it cycles just fine. some say it doesnt. maybe ill just get her the weatherby sa-08 and utilize the dual valve system. this gun is just cheaper.

  • I mean did you need hold the bolt release button to load a shell after loaded first one

  • @amos1688 No. As long as the bolt is forward, you can load rounds into the tube magazine - you do not have to hold the bolt release in order to load the shells.

  • Is it true you need push the bolt release button to load a shell into the magazine??

  • @amos1688 No. Of course, you can't load rounds into the magazine if the bolt is locked to the rear. The bolt must be seated on the chamber in order to load rounds into the magazine. For me, if I grab my shotgun and need it quick, fast & in a hurry...then I lock the bolt to the rear, drop desired cartridge into the chamber then press the bolt release. From there I thumb rounds into the magazine as time permits. Thank you for the question.

  • @amos1688 i know what you are talking about. the answer is no. mossberg got so many complaints that all of the new models do not require that you hold the bolt release button down to load shells into the tube. you may have heard of a heavy button as well, maybe that it is hard to press in? that issue has been fixed as well. it was a 12 lb push but now it is only 6lbs. hope that helps clear things up for you.

  • Nice, I think I'll get one fer me daughter!

  • @theschizoid1 I am sure she would be very happy with it. It is a great shotgun.

  • @TangoDownProduction That was a line from 'the thirteenth warrior", but it looks like a good system as I don't like excess recoil either.

  • Fan fuckin tastic Scott I want one .. reccovery and target re-acquisition is a lot faster with a 20 guage than a 12 guage

  • By the way, I think the 20 gauge was a smart decision. I don't think the person receiving it could tell the difference between a 12 or 20 the distance of a hallway in your home.

  • @jonnyonthepot LOL, I have to agree 100%. Thank you!

  • I still prefer 8 or 6 shot for inside the home. Just my personal preference. Nice little zombie killer though.

  • Good job, glad you thought of your wife using this one too. My wife can fire a 12 but not comfortably so the 20 is essential. At home defense ranges it doesn't make a difference, a chest full of buckshot is a chest full of buckshot either way.

  • @txmalcontent Absolutely. A couple of my friends poked fun at me for getting the 20 gauge, but I don't care. The recoil is very manageable, especially from an auto-loader. It is accurate and I don't see any volunteers wanting to stand down range to catch my buckshot for me. :-)

  • @TangoDownProduction Hahaha nice one. Had the guy at the gunstore ask why I wanted a 20 gauge. He said a 12 is better, just get light loadings for my wife. I should have asked them to stand downrange and catch MY buckshot to see which is better! Thanks for sharing.

  • haters dislike... losers!!!! looking forward to more training/gear vids!!!

  • @eldogg4life Thank you brother! Hopefully very soon, new videos will be up!

  • Never mind, you just answered it. Sweet friggin set up. Very well thought out

  • @1TacticalMedic Thank you! Weather permitting...I am going to the range tomorrow to get some trigger time with this bad boy.

  • Why 20g and not just a 12er? Weight?

  • Good looking gun! What are your plans (if any) to mount a weapon light? I always like to have lights mounted on my home defense guns so I'm not holding two things in my hands at once.

  • @dspurlock23 I am glad you asked! As it looks, I may either have to add a rail accessory butterfly clip (replacing the existing one) or apoxy a polymer rail section to the forearm and add the light that way. Not sure, but I'm trying to stay hopeful that Mossberg might come out with a rail accessory forearm.

  • Great vid man

  • @lilbz187 Thank you very much!
