@HellfishAirsoft, there are 3rd party apps that record video but at 15fps for the forward camera, don't expect much. Many people mount GoPro or Contour HD cameras for recording. The drone manages the extra ~100g weight no problem.

As for range, about 50m (outdoors, line of sight). The WiFi performance is limited by the small antennae in both phone and drone.

It has autopilot, auto terrain stabilization, on board cameras, transmit live images to the iPhone, easy to control,etc. as compared to a $200 normal RC helicopter that doesn't have any of that stuff and harder to control and only flies.

The drone has a built in battery that lasts for about 15 minutes of flying, it comes with a lithium polymer battery that just plugs into the wall that is super easy to put in, and it also has it's own wifi transmitter inside of it, so you can take it anywhere with a range of about 50 meters around you, source: I own one, COOLEST THING EVER
