  • u seem to have a lot of cameras... pl lend some to poor DU colleges

  • @anishatandon Nope, just a few cheap minicams.

  • good sound. major windscreen?

  • This is Awesome.

  • try shooting a person

  • Now do it with a bullet...

  • I used to be an adventurer like you, but then a took an camera to the knee

  • Try a fisheye lens....

  • @beyJolo That was a fisheye lens.

  • would suck to take that arrow in the knee *g*

  • until it hits your face dangerous! yet nice

  • lol You probably shouldnt make a habit of shooting straight up :)

  • Thats how it feels to be an arrow!

  • Now you need to tie a chicken to the arrow and put the camera on its head.

  • Comment removed

  • this video would be very funny when the arrow actually comes back straight at you, and you running around like a headless chicken trying to dodge it.

    great vid by the way!

  • they need to make video software so you can angle the camera so i can go into video FX and make it so even if it did spin i could change it so that way it always looks upward it would sell :P

  • Too bad you didn't shoot anything with it...

  • @rvngizswt now shooting a deer AAAAAAAHHHHH (bloood everywhere)

  • The video would have been even more awesome if the arrow had landed in a person.

  • arrow roulette?

  • so this is what it looks like from an arrow's point of view in those old wars where they shower arrows on the enemy

  • At first the arrow was like WHHHOOOOOSSH!

    Then it landed :S

  • I think it's impressive that the camera can withstand those G forces of being fired from a bow.

  • epicness

  • Why does it appear as though your arrows lack flights?

  • @ekoukano Huh?

  • @jeremiahjw The feathers at the back of the arrows, made to stabilize the flight of the arrow. Hence, "flights". They appear to not show up on camera? Ex : 0:08

  • @ekoukano I took them off as they made the arrow spin, making it hard to see anything. :-P

  • @jeremiahjw Ah, well there's your problem. Sweet video, anyway.

If you decide to do this again, perhaps you could leave the flights on, but put a counter-weight onto the arrow to match the camera's weight to prevent the massive spinning.

  • @ekoukano Thanks!

  • @jeremiahjw you have the best fan base. xD

  • @ekoukano

That wouldn't help. Flight feathers are designed to encourage spinning. A counter-weight wouldn't stop the motion of the air rushing past the feathers.

  • @ekoukano I do not believe that they are called "flights". To the best of my knowledge they are called fletching.

  • @ekoukano

Those are also called fletching, If that confused anyone.

  • @ekoukano fletching is the more common term used for what you call flights.

  • @srfnscubamunkey Yeah, Ive never heard them called "flights"

  • @ekoukano Do you mean fletchings?

  • Wow, This is pretty cool!

  • That was cool; I always wanted to see an aarow flight.

  • You could also try reverse the video halfway so it looks like it coming back to hit you.

  • @JenkoTV I would have if I had thought of it at the time. Oh well.

  • Comment removed

  • this is amazing

  • looks like nasa rockets :D

  • shoulda had a counterbalance so the camera's view was upright

    still though, pretty interesting perspective

  • fake.

  • What kind of camera did you use?? Nice job btw

  • @methylester Okay, I feel so dumb. I see the camera type is embedded in the vid. Again, nice work.

  • Enemy predator missile inbound! ><

  • That's phenomenal Jeremiah. Good work. ;)

  • I hope this is done on a really open space X_X; you could injure someone if that landed on them!

  • Can it also run in reverse? I'd like to see the arrow land on the bow!

  • @cmcculloch09 lmao :)

  • Aw! You got me.

  • That midget needs to learn how to hold the camra straight

  • shooting an arrow directly upwards is a really easy way to lose an eyeball

  • This is awesome... Also, you look strangely like Ron Jeremy. That is all.

  • i guess it sucks to be an arrow... i mean you there flying all happy and then fall :(

  • i remember there is a video of a model plane flying through low aerial fireworks on dusk, pretty sure it's hugely popular now

fireworks and small cameras may be massive viral, dare say it's a race to the finish line on this one

  • @leokimvideo Oooh, I like that idea.

  • @jeremiahjw possibly i'm an ideas man, or just a nutter!

i am still trying to find the video, I saw it a a while back now, the issue with it it was just too long, the good stuff was hidden away in the video, it had a very crappy start.

  • Ok, now you need to get a second one and attach it to the chicken, turn them both on, and fire the arrow at the chick while it's watching. If you miss, do it again.

  • BuddhaCharlie sent me :)

  • I love how you can hear the high frequency vibrations in the arrow as it leaves the bow!

  • How did you manage to find your arrows?

  • @Hpyrr328 It only fell about 150-200 yard away, in an open field.

  • @jeremiahjw

    OH okay

  • I did this on a rocket firework so it explodes at the end!! it's on another channel though: "BALLlSLlFE" check it out :) (p.s. just copy and paste that channel it's spelled funny)

  • @JRayMalcolm Cool, someone suggested a firework after seeing my arrow video. I tried it on a bottle rocket firework, but it was too heavy. Do you have a photo of what kind of firework you attached the camera to?

  • @jeremiahjw sorry I dont, but it was essentially a model rocket that explodes at it's highest point. you could try it with a model rocket as well. Just be sure to use a counter weight so it flies strait up.

  • those little "spy" cams on ebay are amazing huh. i love the quality for how cheap they are

  • @jsnyara Yeah, you don't have to worry about breaking them because they only cost about $10 to fix. Just need to make sure the memory card stays safe.

  • @jeremiahjw There are few things that could destroy a MicroSD card.

  • I heartily this complete waste of time. A+++++ :)

  • I saw Dick Cheney!

  • you should do a video where it impales somebody.

  • Could've picked a nicer day.

  • @ShowToddSomeLove I wanted to do it on an overcast day, otherwise the brightness of the sky would have caused a ton of problems with the auto exposure.

  • @jeremiahjw

Ah, that makes sense then. Awesome video. Would the weight of the camera fuck it up too much for you to try shooting at targets?

  • @ShowToddSomeLove you need to use these cameras in very even lighting conditions, bright days send the iris control crazy and you would have seen zip all, sort of basic camera craft 101

this tuber chose a good day for the arrow shot!

  • did 1:04 remind anyone else of evil dead? except in reverse order i think, maybe its the forest, the trees and the way the camera moves, totally similar to that one scene xD

  • I'm dizzy, surely i'm not the only one!

  • Super! I wonder if you can attach the camera maybe in front of the fletching, so we can see the arrow bend? Lighter arrows REALLY deform from the pressure of the string pushing it. Also shooting into a target, so you can see it coming! Love the video, great idea well executed!

  • @bcgrote There are some other videos out there where they shoot it at a target. It would be hard to attach it right after the fletchings, as the camera would probably be swiped off when I fire the arrow.

  • Next time you should reverse the video and show it going back into the bow

  • whoare you and why are you in my subscriptions box

  • Eat your heart out Kevin Costner

  • Valkyrie rockets ready.

  • This is totally rad! I always thought arrows spun in the air!

  • @sexynerdgirlcom they do spin, but the uploader took off the feathers off the arrow thats y it didnt really spin/spiral in the air.

  • The best part was when he shot the arrow.

  • The front view ones remind me of those dreams were you feel like you're falling to the ground and you wake up before you hit. Weird.

  • twaaaang

  • I just added some DnB to this...made it even more awesome.

  • Lol when video was done and i wanted to click o the freezing hand thingy and it said coming soon i was like NooOOOO

  • sinistro :D

  • @jeremiahjw That Explains Everything, Thus Awsome Video Keep It Up

  • @jeremiahjw Great Video Thus Why Did It Took You 2years To Upload This Video?

  • @YTNumber1critic LOL, the time code was off.

  • Bearded man, do you want to go on a date with me?

  • Cool Apache effect bro.

  • he looks like Rob McElhenney

  • makes me dizzy!!

  • PREDATOR MISSILE INCOMING!!!

  • hahha, I love the twang it makes every time.

  • what kind of camera

  • Camera should have been stuck to the bottom of the arrow, by the top of the camera. The weight of the camera caused that side of the arrow to point downwards, hence the spinning. In the last slowmo you can see that the camera was clearly upside down. An equal counter weight of equal size on the opposite side may counter any spinning, the camera may need to be stuck side on instead though, although I'm uncertain.

This must be tested, FOR SCIENCE!

  • @Badhabitsjay dude...arrows are designed to spin. Eliminating spin would cause it to fly crazy off-line and there would be no control.

  • @freelanceterry I'm aware of this, reading back I see now that my wording was slightly off. What I meant to say was that the extra weight of the camera causes the arrow spin to settle on the weight side, visible best in the last slow motion video where you can see the arrow rocks back and forth rather than spinning.

It would be better to eliminate this rocking altogether by balancing the arrow correctly.

  • I shot an arrow into the air,

    It fell to earth, I knew not where;

For, so swiftly it flew, the sight

Could not follow it in its flight.

So I tied a camera on its shaft

Shot it both ways, fore and aft.

    Now I know where the arrow fell;

Do you think the video will sell?

  • @sirbruce1970 So... if the arrow flew so far you couldn't find it... how the **** did you get your camera back?

  • @sirbruce1970 Ep, Ic.

  • @sirbruce1970 Bravissimo.

  • now shoot a bird and let the camera do the work lol

  • this is awesome! is that Jelly Lens on the 808? looks really super-clear! also: sweet job with the footage :)

  • @BrotherBloat Thanks! Yes, that is the Jelly Lens!

  • Great video my friend!!

    ;)

  • How is that camera holding up?

  • Yeah, this was a neat idea :-)

  • wow, wicked. what camera did you have on there? chicken-cam? XD

  • How come you didn't use feathers on the arrow? Too much spin?

  • @atomterrible Yep

  • @jeremiahjw have you thought about mounting the camera upside down?

  • this cool

  • This is so incredible cool! You waited three years to show us this awesome video :P

  • @YOZcreative LOL, thanks, but I've only had my account for barely over a year. :-P

  • That is the coolest thing I have seen all day, week... month! thumbs up!

  • truely awesome

  • that is pretty dang cool

  • I must say, this video kicks a little ass.

  • is that your pet goat in the background?

  • @leokimvideo LOL, no, that is my dog. Now that you mention it, I should do a video about my goat. It is a very strange pet. :-P

  • very cool

the one which I would really LOVE to see is a camera in a fireworks shell, put a rope tail on it as you don't want too much spin

do it as a daylight firing and you would need to have a bit of removable pull away plastic to give you a fresh look after launch.

someone will do it now, why not YOU!

  • Damn this is crazy! :-O

  • Wow, how cool is that!!!

I guess it was a very small and light camera... but just how small?

  • @TheHiddenPart Same camera I used in my chicken steadicam video, so, under 3 ounces.

  • @jeremiahjw Thanks for the reply. I took it as an excuse to watch the video again!

  • Very cool! attaching cameras to flying objects is fun!
