I think its dumb they use the slogan "the most powerful name in local news" because of Fox News Channel. It doesn't work locally. Everyone knows ABC 7 News is the most powerful name in local news or even NBC 5 News--NOT Fox News Chicago.
Hmmmm -- How are they managing to do this WITHOUT using their channel number? I've NEVER seen a Fox station not refer to themselves as Fox-# News before. But maybe the times are a-changin'.
The "yellow graphics set" is used for the morning 5-9AM and noon newscasts. The standard blue/orange graphics (used by most of the FOX stations) is used on the 9PM newscast. A special WFLD custom made much more crisper red, white, and blue graphics set is used on "The Ten". WFLD has recently made some minor adjustments to their fonts making them look better. For a while, they still used a few fonts from their previous graphics package.

They do this because FOX is recieved on 3,6,12, and 32 in the Chicago area. Their official analog channel is 32, though.

Yikes!
Well, in that case -- a channel number wouldn't make much sense would it?

I think Blues and Oranges work best in graphics these days, but the yellow just ruins these. The fonts used are stupid too.
