Hey mate! I've got a question. I really like the sound of this fucking amp, but, it is powerful enough for playing with a band? I hope you will answer me!
Hi and happy new year! Could you please tell me which guitar and what pickups you used to get these sounds? Would you recommend this amp for metal (not Death or black!) ? Its clean channel is awsome! Tons of tone. It's the distortion issue that I can't be sure. Btw it has only one channel, or two?
Hi and thanks! The guitar is Gibson LP Standard (burstbuckers pro) . The amp is god for hard rock and heavy, but definitely wound recommend it for high gain modern metal on its own(its vintage sounding and I believe that was the idea). Of course with right pedal and this great clean channel it could easily play almost everything
@crazyboyhate1976 Sorry bro, this amp is freaking versatile and it's boutique quality is outstanding. You probably run through a line6 spider anyways.
@crazyboyhate1976 SUCKS?! Is the one of the best sounding amp I've ever played! And best sounding little amp. Tone is full of bass and is very dynamic. If you want a good sucker test Laboga The Beast man!
Very nice playing and nice sounds, but would ist be possible, that you make another video, where you move the treble-knob a little bit? In this vid it sounds a little bit indirect :(
This is a great demo of the MOFO I appreciate that you took the time to show the WIDE tonal possibilities of the amp and that you kept the camera on the knobs so people could see how you got the tones. People that know ...KNOW. These are great amps. And everybody else should try one. Hard to find in the states but hopefully that will change soon. Great playing too!
I'm maybe going to a school for musicians and want a 'serious' amp for perfomances. I tought: This one sounds awesome but I think it's not a very huge one with the box included
Hi, I got it because of the clean tones, but of course thats matter of taste, I do like how it sounds clean. Otherwise the amp is loud enough for smaller gigs (without micing)- 30 watts
Excellent amp! I ordered the 15W Combo with the greenback speaker for playing at home and small jam/practice sessions. Should be great for AC/DC and Airbourne stuff. I can't wait to rock out on that thing!
Wonderful and skillful playing. I just love your chord works! Did you use humbuckers or single coil all the way through the rather clean sounds? I'm a bit surprised that it breaks up that early (gain knob at noon).
Do you reckon that you can obtain a clean sound at gigging level without (or just a little) breakup with this amp?
I am playing with a Gibson LP through the demo , so no singles :-) With PAF type humbuckers, the amp stars breaking up around noon and on 5 oclock it gives full AC/DC crunch, but on 10 o'clock the clean is really clean and its stays clean with the master volume dialed high (i have tried it at 3 o'clock). One can definitely achieve enough clean headroom for club gigs (the amp is 30 Watts, 4xEL84, same like AC30), of course depending on the drummer
I don't think I can, because I just don't have one:-). But I think the drive on this one is fairly different than the Blackstars one which is more modern sounding (more compressed and probably with a bit more gain): Not sure though, I checked it just once and kind of long time ago.
@koliok yeah i thought so too. its very similiar in a way it also has a uk and us sound (if my eyes are correct) and the pricing also very2 similiar, ht 5 also have the same pricing. but this hayden seems more professional (look and sound wise). but i think it would be very hard-to-find brand in asia. what do you think of the ht 5 you tried?
The HT5 sounded great on the drive channel, but being only 5 watts it didn't have much of a clean headroom. The Mofo is 30 watts and that for me is close to the lowest possible wattage for live playing. Otherwise the Blackstar HT5 is great for playing at home
I'm looking for a cheaper amp head in contrast to engls and blackstars and stuff. Does this do a good hardcore/ metalcore tone?

Love the sound of this amp especially the clean and blues tones.
Although i think most of that tone comes from your fingers.
Great playing Nick!!!
