This is very bad for the clutch... I recon it's fun but not too much otherwise, you won't start it at all ^^ I'll try not to do this with ours !

@patatasete Incorrect, the RS5 has a double clutch gear box meaning in a very complicated manner unlike a single clutch gearbox it doesn't slip (the clutch) meaning hugely reduced wear... in the owners manual it doesn't have a limit of launch starts which you can do... unlike say a Bmw M5... and I'm not one of them youtube commentors who thinks he knows everything, my dad's got a panther black 2011 RS5

@DefenderTDBlack First of all, I think it's wierd for a car fan on YouTube not to have any video of your dad's RS5... Secondly, even it has a double clutch gearbox, it doesn't mean it doesn' slips... EVERY clutch in this whole world slips, it's made on that purpose, to get a car off the standind position smoothly without braking the transmission. And the launch control made several times burned one, there is a video made by Autoblogger that will show you that.

@patataseteOk first adressing the issue of no videoI have recently aquired a new HD camera meaning I'm in the process of making a brilliant video (such as this one) showing rev's launch's and general driving. I agree that 'every' clutch in the world slips.... but, that video from Autoblogger, (that burned the clutch) is not l repeated not what happend to the car, the RS5 being German means it has built in fail safe's so if the system is getting to HOT it will stop working, and will work again.

Wat een ontzettend dikke auto is het toch. Zag er laatst een in het wit met zwarte velgen, ook een mooie combo. Ik moest wel even lachen toen hij optrok en je camera even niet stil kon houden! ;-) Gave video weer! +1

the sound is pretty ordinary actually. And it's not revving too high either. All in all - ordinary.

Although probably it felt more dramatic being in the car than the recording equipment can record.
