I don't know about the whole Bristol being about Bass thing. All the best venues in Bristol in my opinion are the ones that don't do electronic music. Its so cliche, its like all these rich kiddies come to Bristol and expect to hear DnB and Dubstep. You end up avoiding them. I'd rather go to the small venues where you can hear genuine original Bristol bands trying to make a crack at it then chat with them afterwards. Long as the they enjoy it but the Bristol heart to me is the little rock venues
I am sorry, but this video was a blatant remake of our "The Bristol Sound" video posted only a month before your lovley corporate rendition. Thats lame! If you need some fresh ideas why don't you try employing innovative staff, rather than trawling Youtube looking for sparks of inspiration?
This short docco was actually made years ago, it took me a few years to put it online. I can assure you I have not seen your "Bristol Sound". Perhaps you could send me a link, I'd like to see it. What you see here is the result of 2 weeks research and 2 days shooting, I'm sure your feature is a lot more in depth. Anyway, I hope this helps clear things up a bit & please do post your link. Cheers.
iv'e been a huge fan of Bristol, it just makes me want stab my self hearing stuff about Bristol. example: the only sport i can do and like is streetboarding and Bristol is the capital of streetboarding, as for the cultural side of the town nothin but bigups. next year i'm tryin for cantelbury (donno how 2 spell that) becouse that's the closest i can get to Bristol. ps i'm from a sad country called Romania in the city called Constanza and culture in any form or sence is next to nothing here!

Bristols moving on from the old boys like roni, massive and potishead. those guys are so amazin though for starting such a great scene.
New acts such has Dr meaker, AllFlaws, CCQ, Substatic, Apple blim, T minus 50 are just as good and more for the future of the sound.
