  • Hey,Wait...! i was searching for the Assasin's Creed Hidden Blade! not a movie called Hidden Blade! I need get back! *Clicks and gets back*

  • I've heard this song in another movie. Can't think of it

  • ahaha i came here only because of Assassin's Creed :P I might wanna see this in the future, tho.

  • Wonderful film and the theme music is so beautiful!

  • @lonelykatana

yes the boring ones don't have fighting in them.

  • Thumbs up if you googled the hidden blade, meaning AC :D

  • One of my favourite movies,im getting it on blu ray - its worth it,btw I didn't know there was a trilogy im going to look into it thanks))

  • AND THEN EZIO JUMPED IN AND KICKED ALL THEIR ASSES!!! LOL

  • thumbs up u were actually finding videos of assassins creed when u came about this vid:D

  • 山田洋二監督の時代劇三部作全部好きですが、その中でも鬼の爪は秀逸だと思います。そして長瀬さんの演技が渋い!!The casting and the storyline are excellent!!I I like Nagase-san since I was a high school boy.I think this movie and the rest of the trilogy are some of the best japanese film.If you haven't seen this movie yet. Watch this!! You wouldn't regret!!

  • Please can someone tell me the name of the Poem the young lady chants? It is amazing!

  • The best trailer and background music I have ever seen.

  • Fuck this shit, i want some real Shogun shit

  • This is easily one of my favourite films......

  • 'Twilight Samurai', 'The Hidden Blade' & 'Love & Honor' are the best trilogy

  • This movie, and also Twilight samurai, IS SO GOD DAMN GOOD.

I want more from this director, ASAP :D

  • awesome movie, seen it like 3 times now and is still good. classic romance samirai and honor movie.

  • bloody hell...

I was looking for the assassin's creed hidden blade...

    xD

  • the fuck is this where is ezio xD

  • Best Samurai movie made in recent years!

  • cool looking! is this in japanese?

  • if this is from the director of The Twilight Samurai, than its gotta be good no doubt.

  • 1:15 This is Japan!

  • @lonelykatana but they should

  • Definitely gonna look this up, looks like an excellent samurai flick

  • @NormaColemanw

    u gaylord :p

its not about homo vampires its about awesome samurais

  • @xyzDracheCanohuo True Vampires are ANYTHING but gay. Don't mistake Hollywood's interpetation of Vampires as the real deal, because it's not. It's trash!

  • @loveunderlaw what is a "true" vampire?

  • You know I have never seen this movie or even hear'd of it until now....

To me looks a great movie.

    Thankyou.

  • movie is good if you liked twilight samurai

  • I have seen this movie & it is awesome. It is in the same class as "The Twilight Samurai". Please take a chance & watch it. Excellent movie.

  • fuck you for your spoiler -.-

  • You cannot judge foreign movies by their trailers.

  • @callahan9119 speacially this one apparently, i saw the movie and this trailer tells nothing of what the film is about, except of course that it's set in 17th century Japan... or 18th... i'm not sure now but you get my point

  • @lORDELO2

    19th century.

  • ya, it does look kinda cheesy from the trailer but if its anything like Twilight Samurai than its an excelent movie. dont judge a movie by its trailer

  • Yeah your right, its like judging a book on its cover..

  • @TheAdidasadh ur mom looks cheesy

  • until u actually watch it

  • This must have been one of Ogata Ken's last movies.

  • brilliant movie !!!!!!!! 10 +

  • i thought was a game

  • I thought this had something about Assassins Creed to do xD

  • lol,. i clicked this with assassins creed in my mind, looks good though :P.

  • People, you have to watch this movie, it is f***** awesome, 5 thumbs up

  • I saw "love and honor" yesterday and I was very impressed. I watched "twilight samurai earlier, and now I am going to watch Kabei. This director knows how to make such gentle movies. brilliant!

  • I agree entirely. its nice to see that at least one director is capable of making a samurai movie that does not degrade into mindless violence.

  • 0:34 - 0:36 looks like the castle stage from call of duty 5 :D

  • that's a traditional castle...racist. lol jk.

yeah it does..but so does every other piece of "historical" building in japan

  • LOOOL

  • To be honest, the only reason why I wanted to see this movie at first was for some Japanese battles - literally all the posters advertised marches. I was fooled. lol.

You know, I liked it. I wasn't expecting a heartfelt movie. Intriguing.

  • If you want action you're probably not going to find it in a Japanese movie. Yes there are some, Ran, Kagamusha but the Japanese love the pscyhe & ghost stories more than epic battles to be sure.

  • You know any japanese movies with good samurai/ninja action?:P

  • azumi

  • azumi quite sucked

  • bullshit, azumi is quite awesome.

  • Ok.

  • only silly part was when his hand was shot off,but the movie is interesting :)

  • this movie looks great ,. i have to find it.

  • this is a good movie!

  • i LOVE this movie!!!

  • aaw someone caught feelings, grow up chimp movie was dope havent even seen twilight samurai(i will now) i got this movie for a marathon and even tho the action is more the last 45 minutes, the story alone was great, and when he used the hidden blade CLASSIC

  • That's Takako Matsu, not Takako Tabata.

  • this trailer makes the screenplay seem deadly serious, when they shoot the cannon it wips right back and they all run, its hilarious

  • Absolutly right, that was a classic comedy scene, haha.

On the other hand, Katagiri DOES NOT use the hidden blade against Hajama. The trailer gives the false impression that there's a lot of fighting in the movie, too. There is very little fighting in the film, but greatly done. And the story is really good, making it one of the best samurai films I've ever watched.

  • is this movie in english or does this have subtitles, might try to find the movie to buy it

  • "Twilight samuari" :D it was spelled wrong!

  • ya i know but it's a samurai film.

  • I love this movie. It shows fairly well the life of a man who only want two things:love and revange.

I like also because for first time I watch a movie when the samurai is not brave enough.

  • Twilight Samurai's great isn't it? It's one of those movies I can't forget. And the two leads, Hiroyuki Sanada and Rie Miyazawa, are, what else can I say but wonderful, and they do a much better job than the leads in Hidden Blade. If Twilight didn't exist, Blade might be considered rather good, but this side of Twilight, it's solid, but not great.

  • I just watched it, and it's a solid, moving movie. I do find Twilight Samurai to be a better movie, but these movies are almost like twins. Set in the same era, very similar in storyline and plot progression. I thought Twilight has a more moving ending, and has a better pace and flow to it, but Blade is still worth watching.

  • Any1 know where I can find the trailer to Love and Honor??

  • Katagiri didnt want to use guns, but they did anyway! it wasnt about him "knowing he cant beat Yachiro with just fire power", he wanted to kill him with the old ways!

  • Along with The Twilight Samurai & LOve and Honor, are the best samurai movies I have ever seen.

  • i saw this movie it's good but i think there should have been more fighting in it

  • I saw this at the Palm Springs Film Festival. A wonderful and touching Samurai film. I only wish it could get a decent release here in the US.

  • wait a minute!!! isnt this like that one movie "the last samaruai??" its like almost the same, but without the white dude./

  • fool

  • The director is very famous of making a series of movies in the 60's till 80's about an ordinary travelling salesman having ordinary stories in each episode, humanism is throughout these movies. The director was born in Japan but went to and lived in Northern China when he was 5 months old until he was 18.

  • treat it as a chronicle like zatoichi's, if ur a zamurai fan u'll know.

  • Was it just me, or did this movie share ALOT of similarities with The Twilight Samurai? Don't get me wrong, the movie was great, and I know it was the same director and all, but the list of similarties that were popping into my head was getting pretty long.

  • This movie is the second of a triology made by the director. The samurai in the first movie is Confucian, in which he took order by his senior samurai and finally died in the battle between his clan and the new Japanese army. The samurai in the second movie is very Daoist who eventually killed his senior samurai and went to seek his true love and life, as his master did. The samurai in the third movie is Buddhist.

  • I loved this movie because it didnt try to be overly flashy, and the scenery was AMAZING!!! Great character development/plot.

  • I've seen it. Awesome.

  • I'd seen the movie, it's superb !

  • You'll like it so much that you'll hate the TOM CRUISE movie....

  • totally agrees, n im not a tom cruise fan, /hehe

  • I can't wait to watch it. i wonder why it's called " the hidden blade ".

  • You will know why it is called 'the hidden blade'. It is the small blade that he was taught by his master and finally used it to kill the bad senior samurai.

  • my mind was filled with every image of the film for weeks after i saw it.

it is so far the best samurai movie i've seen.
