You might not like the way the video is made, but from the perspective of getting the message across about the effect of over-fishing, it is a great production.
Like most other people I'm sure, I really do find the idea of not eating fish anymore painful. BUT, what I find most painful is that I've lived my life never considering the implications of my actions... like when I decide to take 2 fish oil pills a day because it's easy, and it might make me healthy. Whether or not I'm influenced by what this video says, it feels good to at least be aware of it. I've never been more enlightened, inspired, and shamed all at once than I was watching this video.
If you publish a movie about make up on your face a video receives honderd thousands of views, if the person who shows the painting is good looking. Look at the view count of this one. The club of Rome estimates that the world population of humans will decline with 5 billion the coming 40 years. I study surviving technics with nature powers, not against. I won't miss those make up idiots.
Nice movie ! Obviously, the seas are in a lot of trouble, but I disagree with the message at the end of the video: it is the responsibility of the government, and not of the cocky left-wing European who decides not to eat fish anymore, oblivious to the fact that millions and millions of people around the world have been eating fish as their staple food for centuries. Bans on unsustainable, eco-system destroying fisheries, subsidizing cuts, and a battle against pollution is where it's at.
@gaudetjaja Yeah, just point to an abstract institute ... clears your responsibility, doesn't it? Governments are there for the interest of friends, pharmaceutical, alcohol, tobacco, petro chemical, military industry. Governments are the agents for the ruthless bank owners, who enslaved us via a system of enforcing virtues with the threat of fire power. Governments are not meant for the health of life. The health of life can be established in our minds and with our hands. Not by looking away.
@gaudetjaja ... a ban on unsustainable eco-systems means a ban on governments. Only the history of Cannabis alone proofs that very clear. Government is the cause of this life on Earth threatening ECOnomic situation, how can it be the solution? There is no historical data, what's so ever to proof that.

breeding programs for fish.
land based fish farming and aquaponics are a wonderful solution, but like all things human change is slow.

Great video with astounding statistics. I haven't checked the sources, but there are many scientists stating that our oceans are in serious trouble.
