  • Not .Bullet .Time .

  • the best looking guy in any movie .. sooo loved watching him ... of course .. my BF at the time was alittle jealous .. but that was ok ! ...LOL .. NOW .. I am showing these clips to my grandson ....the legend lives on

  • this guy was the first MATRIX!!!

  • It was my understanding that the term "bullet-time" refers to the use of multiple still cameras in sequence whose images are stitched together to create a circular pan. This is not bullet time, it is a bullet in slow-motion.

  • one of those cheesy..but..fun..martial arts movies

  • FUCK YEAH STEVE !

  • Hey there Shan, tai krige here. These clips postd here are mostly from ZHUDENE & SPATULASITY1138. They must have the DVD I am sure...Its awfull image quailty thoo, but I am sure they coud post more clips since they do seem to be popular. Isnt it ridiculous that none of us who made the movie seem to have copies hey. What about James Ryan, your father? Amason had way back, but terrible quality. We shot it on Kodak 35mm film stock & the image quality was excelent.

LOL & big hugs to James.

  • HHHHAAAYYHaAyHayyyYYYaAaaA. Love it

  • Is it only me... or is the bullet really bouncing of his FINGERS?! :O

  • im old

  • that was some gay shit right there

  • One of the greatest martial arts films of all time, man.

  • hmmm more like ancient matrix

  • The shot didnt rotate around the subject though, and it didnt feel as though the camera and the events were on different time-flows.

  • Before the end of Matrix incredible

  • Greetings, this is Shan, I am James Ryan's son. I was wondering where you got all these clips from and if you have any more from his other films? Please let me know, thank you.

  • I found the DVD on eBay, and pulled these clips from it. And I do not have any of his other movies, sorry...

  • Ah, damn! I thought "bullet time" was the name of the SFX TECHNIQUE used to slow down time with aligned high-speed cameras, not the actual EFFECT itself!

    Lame bullet time!

  • For the 'Bullet' "Matrix shot there was no CGI of cos, all shot in-camera as explained at length by me above in the "more info..." window, as was the credit seq. up front....I was the director of photography. tai krige sasc.

  • James Ryan is alive and well, living as always, in Cape Town, South Afrika arguabilly one of the most beautiful places in all the wide world. Honest.

  • How come he didnt make anymore martial arts movies....they would have been real popular in the USA....especially since this movie is the basis for a USA tv series called the A-TEAM.

  • Candy cane...........What a hornbag !!!

  • Just goes to prove that The Matrix was just a rip-off of this movie. The writers suck.

  • I used to watch movies like this at this old theater in Baltimore called The New Carverin the 80`s. It used to be called The Diane and was a show theater for acts like Cab Calloway and Moms Mabley. I`m too young to know that but my grandmother told me that. You cou watch three action-packed movies for 99 cents. We would stay all day. It was agood way for our parents to get us out the house. I can`t pay my kids to go outside today. X-box,Wii,and the internet are their friends. Why go out?

  • I love both of Ryan's movies. Sadly there does not seem to be any dramatic or interesting conclusion to his story. Apparently, or to the best of my knowledge, he teaches acting in NYC now. Oh well, I still love his movies.

  • The man in black pants is James Ryan..one of the most powerful kickers in yester movies....There is another movie he acted in "KILL OR BE KILL" both are action packed!!

  • Drilling shot. Faster than slo-mo bullets.

  • The flying bullet looks well done and even looks like it was done in CGI. Whatever happened to them, Sho Kosugi, Jeff Speakman, etc.?

  • Roger Eberrt said that Ryan "had a lot of screen presence" and that he may be "the new Bruce Lee"! Fact! And whatever happened to him? Where is he?

  • Steve Chase gets a helping hand and a helping foot after deflecting a bullet. Even though that scene is bullshit by today's standards, the movie was great! :-)

  • these films are the best i saw them in reverse order when i was a kid but they are awsome and i have them both

but will they ever be out on dvd

  • kill and kill again was released on dvd but is now out of print.kill or be killed only had a vhs release here in usa but had a dvd release as karate kill in the uk.I have them both there great old school classics.

  • I was about 9 when we got this movie, I believe it was straight to VHS where we were. My friends and I memorized pretty much the whole thing. I had totally forgotten this scene, yet I still remember that he was going to say "It's your choice".

  • Where can I find the two films?

  • This made me wet for the old days

  • Wow where did you get this movie? I've been looking for 'Kill or be Killed' and 'Kill and Kill Again' on VHS or DVD. It brings back memories when I watched these in the theaters.

  • This was one of my favorite movies when I was a teenager. I thought Steve was so cool and pretty badass as well. It seems pretty hokie now when I see this clip though...thank's for posting.
