this is why i support public ownership of all media outlets and complete and total suppression of all forms of censorship and bias. journalism is about informing the masses and providing transparency to government action. without this, there can be no democracy and no society capable of critical thinking or making informed decisions. privately owned media only tells you what the owner whats you to hear and what benefits the owner and his agenda.

@metalgearanarchist Actually, more than public ownership, there should be public awareness. Empowering independent media, internet media and alternate sources of information will bring these big corporations down.

@adi87tya to bring social consciousness to the masses, it will take much more than that im afaird. it will take direct agitation and education of the masses through protests and community workshops. whether its a group or a lone man with a sign the people need to be exposed to the truth about the american empire and given the tools to overcome it. thats why we need a socially conscious minority to act on these necessary tasks, change will not come about through mass movement alone.
