  • What's the title?

Leci Subskrypcja!

  • Wonderful music! For some reason, I like pre-Baroque music than Classical.

  • To není středověk, ale pozdní renesance - manýrismus...

  • Beautiful !!:x

  • WONDERFUL

    MANY THANKS

  • sehr schön, danke!!!

  • Most "Real" medieval Music that we know of is mostly Liturgical Choral music. There are examples of secular instrumental music from the 11-14th centuries, but examples of that are few and far between because they were rarely written down..

What we have come to think of as "Medieval Music" actually comes from the Renaissance or Early Baroque (late 15th-early 17th) centuries, like the Praetorius clip here.

  • Great nice music!

  • dankeschon ^_^

  • Merci!

  • thank you!

  • cool^^ thank you!

  • well, its true, its not medieval music, but the ressainance music has a big influence from the medieval music.

  • Praetorius to juz jest renesans, był on jednym z pierwszych reformacyjnych kompozytorów

  • Nice music ... but not everything which is old is from the Middle Ages ...

This is "Bransle de la torche" from "Taenze aus Terpsichore", late renaissance court music (1612) ... definitely not medieval, like omegastar19 already pointed out!

  • @tanukihh Yes it is and it's composition is likely attributed to Pierre Certon, not Praetorius. Much of Terpichore is just publication or arrangements of earlier works by others including many French royal dances by Perrichon, Beauchamps, Lebret, Nyon, La Grene & Richehomme along with many arrangements by Caroubel. Other works are also by Vecchi & Valerius including the very famous La Bouree.

  • I like it too! The pipe, the flute, the lute make beautiful natural sounds! Simple and beautiful music for human!

  • Because of the more sophisticated polyphony, melodic line and cheerfull character it is indeed!!! :-)

  • this is not medieval music. This is renaissance music.
